I was about to drop a course after a horrendous midterm so I added two one cred seminars on friday of week 4 to maintain standing of 12 creds if i dropped that course. Later i decided not to drop the course but forgot to drop the two one cred seminars. Which resulted in a 2 W’s for courses ive never attended, been to and neither was I added to the canvas.

is there anything I could do to drop these courses without a W, whats the best course of action?

I’ve been parking my car at La Jolla drive transit for the past few weeks because I’ve been using it every 2-3 days and it’s just easier since I live by the La Jolla health trolley stop and I don’t have a parking. But I have already received 2 parking notices in the past Like 2 weeks lowkey. Essentially a warning. Do Yall think they’ll actually give out citations or what because I’m sure a bunch of other people park their cars in the transit parking for weeks especially on campus students.

hi! so i’ve been trying to gauge my chances of getting into different universities on my list. i’m taking dual enrollment courses (completely on a college campus), and am on track to graduate with my associates degree next semester. i have a 4.6 w gpa, and (3.9 uw), a 30 ACT, and semi-average ECs. i founded a neurodiversity club during junior year, which had an associated mentorship program where members would mentor incoming freshmen from our neighboring middle school. i have a part-time job (10-15 hours a week), 120+ volunteer hours (from a summer camp), and also am a school ambassador. i’ve also been playing piano for 8+ years, of which ive received 15-ish “superior” ranking awards on the state level across that period, and 2 “excellent” ranking awards on the national level. 

i’m aiming for a neuroscience/related science degree. i am also applying out of state.

do i have a chance? let me know.

I am currently a high schooler in San Diego that is doing research for science fair. For my project I need a mentor to help guide me.

I am not at all familiar with the UCSD website and the staff search does not seem very intuitive to me, so receiving some help to contact some professors would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, my project is related to Parkinsons Disease and machine learning (I can't give specific details here).

Moved back to Denver after graduating but I still think about the trails we'd drive out to on weekends. I'm wondering if anything closer to campus was actually worth hiking after class without a car. I tried a couple spots near La Jolla that were supposedly decent but they were always packed or too flat. My work schedule here only lets me get out early on weekends, so I need something I can actually do without burning a whole day on driving. Curious what people who stayed local ended up using most often, and if any of those places are still good or if everything decent got developed over. Also wondering if the crowds got worse after all the new housing around campus. Still debating whether to plan another trip down just to get some real elevation again.

Sd social ex president is weird asf. He's acting like he got kicked out of his club when he was basically verbally abusing and threatening his board members! He also willing stepped down from his position. He's mad weird and just wants peoples money. Now he’s threatening to call the cops on the board members just because he stepped down from the club on his own.

He is also now panicking that people are now finally speaking about his weird behaviors and spamming reporting everyone speaking up.

He also fully pushed a guy against wall and yelled in his face for drinking water at one of his parties!

if anyone's also in Vis 20 what do we have to know for tomorrow? Just the names of the art pieces and the era, or do we have to know their locations as well? I'm so confused because my TA didn't post the slides from the previous discussion where it says information about the midterm. pleaseee help!!

im really struggling with a class and got a 30% on my first midterm, worth 25% of my grade. i can try really really hard and maybe get a C on my transcript, or just drop and take the W. dropping wont make me have to take an extra quarter or anything, i just dont want to have a W on my transcript.

i bit off way more than i could chew with this class. i spent so many hours studying but i just dont conceptually understand the class, so the studying isn't really helping. i go to office hours every week and study as often as i can. if i drop, i think i'll retake the class next year and prep early. i am 100% certain i will not have another W on my transcript ever. how should i go about this

Its not like I don't put myself out there, but I've only been going to those professional orgs that I can't really ask ppl to go out with yet I've been okay with feeling busy and just like locking into studies but as Halloween comes, I'm feeling major fomo and I'm trying to find events that I can go but like it seems like its harder to show up by myself

UCSD Professors Russell Impagliazzo and Ramamohan Paturi will join MIT’s Ryan Williams in leading an independent review of OpenAI’s claimed ETH disproof.

Both UCSD professors helped originate the hypothesis, making their involvement especially interesting.

This is potentially huge news, pending independent assessment!

Hi there, I'm looking for some high resolution photos that someone might be able to take of the Chameleon jumpsuit that is on display in the Geisel Library. I live in a far distant state and unable to take the trip out there. I at least need front and back and both sides, but if you're able to get any closeups that would be fantastic. I've tried to email the school and they're unable to provide any photos for me. :( Any photos online are quite old and not as detailed as I'd like them to be.
