Fuck Chris Ballard
The pain. We’ve endured too much pain. We will suffer more, because of this guy’s ego.

Discussion When Your Old Fans Stop Caring
You're in trouble. I'm middle aged. I never thought I'd live as long as I have, and a lot of us didn't (🙏🏻) to them, but here I am. I remember when the Colts came to Indianapolis. We were Bears fans back then. I remember the Hoosier Dome, and the women who would do their knitting during the games. Sounds crazy, but it's 💯 true. "Lord Help Our Colts". No trim till the Colts win. Harbaugh in 95/6. Peyton Manning draft in 97/8. And he was horrible his first year. 20 interceptions or whatever, awful. But we cared. Now, not so much. Maybe I'm just talking about me, but I don't think so. I'm a fresh 51. The folks paying the money are older. Y'all definitely don't want to lose them.

Discussion [James Boyd] #Colts HC Shane Steichen, asked about Daniel Jones bad stats in several key areas: “There are a lot of stats out there, but I think, like I said, he’s proven that he can (play well). So, that’s where the confidence comes from and we need to get him back playing at that level.”
x.comIt intrigues me that Steichen is this entrenched in one guy. He never gave Anthony Richardson this amount of faith.
Put aside Richardsons injury issues (quite frankly they rival Jones) and his immaturity (what did they expect drafting a guy just turning 21 with almost nil college experience) anyone can see under current circumstances that adding a more mobile QB might make a big difference.
Whether I like or dislike Anthony Richardson isn’t relevant, it’s what’s best for the team. Steichen seems to have this self made dislike toward a player.

Seth McGowan
I keep forgetting he’s a rookie seems like he’s getting more comfortable week by week. One of the few bright spots on this awful season.

I’m fine with the picks as long as Dodds and Shane SteiCANT aren’t in the room on selection day. If they are, expect more mediocrity.

Discussion The Ballard era seems to finally be coming to an end and we will be going into rebuild mode. As much as the past 10 years have sucked for the colts. What’s your favorite moments of this era despite the bad?
r/Colts • u/MysteriousAd8959 • 20h ago
Daniel Jones is WAY worse than he seems
Which is saying a lot at this point.
My guy could have thrown atleast FOUR interceptions last game that were luckily dropped of which two were potential pick sixes. This applies to the last few games as well- if anything he is lucky to look only as bad as he is right now.
What the hell is Coach Stinkin’ seeing on the tape for the love of god someone please tell me?!!

Roster Move Colts trade Nelson: guards add 0.20 points a game for champions, QBs add 2.3
PigskinPal's data on how the Colts spend:
Guard is one of the lowest-impact positions for champions since 2017. The Colts put 8.5% of their cap there, against 4.4% for the last nine Super Bowl winners.
About 30% of payroll goes to RB, guard and CB, against 21% for contenders.
The data points to drafting a QB in 2028, when a lot of salary comes off the books.
Full breakdown: https://pigskinpal.app/pigskinpaper/colts-roster-backward
What do you think of the return?

Colts History Colts - a QBs last stand, final payout, ward for declining passers...
It's easy to blame the face in the place, though there seems to be a trend here. Maybe the GM change will eventually resolve and the fan sentiment will self correct. The crowdsourced negativity is palpable.
It's quite interesting the number of these QBs that were on Superbowl rosters (pic). not listed (no SB) Philip with top ten all time stats and Gardner who had been a serviceable journeyman.
Really though there's a team aspect dependency on its players' self accountability. We see week to week breakdowns in all phases of the game.
Capability is present, though seemingly the leaders (coaches & players) aren't holding the collective together.
Maybe the stress/fear has many already looking to 'their' futures.
Is it too late to bring in someone (a rah rah) to help salvage or easier to trade-away/build for the future?
