The current NFL record of not allowing a 300 yard passer is 52 games in a row and that’s pretty damn impressive. What I have heard absolutely nobody talking about is that with today’s win the Browns now sit at 51 games straight without allowing a 300 yard passer. Last time we played the Steelers Rodgers threw for exactly 299 yards. Let’s hope we can contain him next week and tie that record with a chance to break it against the Saints after that.
*Edit- I got my games wrong. They actually tied that record today against the Titans. They can break it against the Steelers

Andre Szmyt’s 32-yard field goal as time expired provided the winning points, giving the Browns a 27-24 win over the Tennessee Titans and keeping alive a run few outside the Browns locker room saw coming. With arguably his best overall performance of the season and a 36-yard connection to Harold Fannin Jr. to set up the winning kick, Deshaun Watson became just the third quarterback since the 1970 merger to lead a fourth-quarter game-winning drive in each of his team’s first five wins, joining Troy Aikman in 1990 and Matthew Stafford in 2016.
At 5-2, the Browns are in first place in the AFC North and go for the season sweep of the 5-2 Pittsburgh Steelers next week. As the Steelers assuredly remember from their own Week 4 experience, the Browns just keep doing this.
When Watson gets the ball last, the Browns keep finding ways to win. Opponents who botch even one clock management or chain-moving opportunity live to regret it as soon as Szmyt and the Cleveland field goal team come jogging onto the field.
“It’s never easy,” Watson said. “Every game is different, every situation is different. But it definitely builds confidence for sure.”

1993. The Browns started 5-2 that year after beating the Steelers 28-23 on Oct. 24, and they were in first place in the AFC Central. After a 29-14 loss to Denver the following week, they were still in first place at 5-3. That was the Bernie Kosar release season. The team fell into a steep decline after Belichick cut Kosar and finished 7-9.
The most recent 5-2 start was 2020, after a 37-34 win over the Bengals, but they weren't in first place then. As far as I know, the Steelers were 6-0 at that point and led the AFC North
