My grandpa passed away and his computer photos were shared between the family.

We stumbled accross this blast from the past.

Note: I do not yet have 2k in any of the raids, but it would be a cool reward, instead of a cape that you never get to show off.

This is just in response to the other post disliking the name, that is all.

For a couple of months I have been occasionally sitting down to draw some osrs bosses in a similar style to Ken Sugimori’s now-famous washed out watercolors from Pokémon’s early years.

I have gotten lots of feedback and made revisions along the way, so as promised I want to share all that I have done now that I’ve reached 10 completed works!

These cards are not really intended for actual battling, which I’m sure you can tell lol (I haven’t a shred of the skill/knowledge required to balance a real tcg) so please take the move sets and such with a grain of salt. It’s really only supposed to be silly fun! HP and weaknesses are based around the in-game bosses stats as well, which is why they differ so wildly from the vintage tcg. Again, just silly fun! I also don’t have any plans in place for selling them because I don’t really have the time to sort out sourcing high-quality proxies. Don’t come for me 🥲

All artworks are drawn using Procreate with an Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro. Zalcano is still my favorite 🥰

Look I’ve played WoW and Osrs for over 10 years each. In one of these games, I’ve led guilds, raid teams, and made lifelong friends. In the other, I’ve made acquaintances through raiding, but ironically the most friends ive made have been from DEADMAN.

There seems to be this dialogue going in this sub where if you can’t find a team for raids you’re some antisocial loser who’s hands are shaking so hard they can’t compose a simple message asking to team up.

I’d argue that compared to the competition, OSRS is completely gapped when it comes to group finding and their clan system.

Why is there no world chat? Why is clan recruitment buried away in the corner of the GE? Why is the clan recruitment board world specific??? Why isn’t there an interface we can open at any time and place?

InB4 people jump in to shout about all the countless friends they’ve made on osrs and how easily they find teams for raids, but that’s not my point. My point is that the in-game interfaces suck and for a game people are clamoring about entering its “platinum age” the grouping systems come off a bit more bronze.

Hoping jagex revisits this.

The items kept on death section shows that the graceful set goes to my gravestone for no fee, but I'm still wary of risking it. I'm asking because I want to charge air orbs at the obelisk. What am I actually risking here? Also, the guide risk value shows 180k. Where does that come from?

I quit OSRS (i.e. on a prolonged break) after maxing a main and getting a quest cape on an ironman. Still think about it all the time, tho. Even at church.

Wish I could hop back in, but there’s no way I can put in the time to make it worthwhile—trying to tick flick a new good job and max my dad skill (got 5 dad skilling pets now!).

I don’t feel like this is even that abusable, eventually people would get the 5 kc and stop being a gp buffer, and it might get learners the experience they need rather than being a potential 500k burden every run.

Anyone know how rare it is to clog in <15KC and has there been any lower than this? (Apparently someone did the greenlog at 6KC)

New player. Been playing since maybe July 2026. 1505 total level. (I’m a main, but I do a lot of stuff myself. Try not to rely on GE for everything)

Loving the game but I am curious why certain areas are such dead content. (I understand that some of this is decades old. But it could be cooler / more important with new content)
Just things I think about sometimes. Apologies if it’s a bit long.

Butterflies.
Brewing.
Pretty much any farming that isn’t herbs/trees.

I feel like butterflies could be way more important especially for early game hunters/farmers. Sailing and construction kinda go together if you are upgrading your boat.
So I feel like Hunter/farming could work well together.

I get there’s some butterflies in the game already but In my head I picture if maybe early game if there was more. That if you release them near an allotment/ patch you could get minor passive boosts for that patch. In the sense similar to the anime patch in the farmers guild.

Feel like there’s could be a minor quest series about repopulating butterflies somewhere. Maybe fossil island. I figure fossil island is mostly passive content so if there was like a passive thing to mix in a little with birdhouses.

Brewing is something I feel like no one does at all. I understand why completely. Because of the low xp and time it takes. I personally do brew occasionally if my travels bring me to aldarin.

I kinda wish there was a more important reason for people to actually brew stuff.
I totally understand that trouble for brewing kinda stinks and people don’t really enjoy it.

Personally I think if close to the mini game area near the water there were some crab traps people can mess with while waiting for a new game.
Also if there was more to brewing and the game required more breweries that would be a decent area for one.

And lastly I grow pretty much 95% of all my patches. I don’t go out of my way to do it, like hops , bushes or belladonna. But I do plant them if my journey brings me there.

Just wish there was a bit more reason to actually be planting hops. I truly only plant maybe yannilla, wild blood and a lot of hemp.

Curious to hear about why it’s such dead content. Also curious if other people plants these patches or maybe I’m not doing something correctly.
Also love to hear new ideas or if anyone has thought about things similar.

I just got the Rondache a few days ago and started testing it a bit. I immediately ran into the issue where I started forgetting where my spec regen was up to because the special attack orb was getting hijacked by the Rondache charging. Imo this is an indication that the spec orb is being overloaded and doing too many functions at once, and that functionality should just be split out into standalone things.

There's a plugin I use for the SRA (Soulreaper Axe QoL) that made my enjoyment of that weapon go up considerably. It allows me to set a second spec orb which tracks my special attack regen which is only active when the SRA is equipped. I've positioned it like this but you can do whatever you like since UIs are very customisable these days anyway. I am in the process of writing a PR to add support for Rondache to that plugin, and figured I'd also start a discussion here that hopefully Jagex might see.

Being a Runelite plugin, the button isn't interactable and you always consume specs with the real spec orb. This solution isn't perfect, as it means your context for tracking your special attack regen is moving back and forth across the screen as you change weapons. Ideally, you'd have one orb for spec regen that is static, and another for alternative items like SRA and Rondache (that is interactable), but that has to be a Jagex implementation and is outside what a plugin is allowed to do.

Having a dedicated orb also makes the item more usable for people like me who literally never use the spec bar. I just use my orbs for everything and feel like that should still be the case here.

Items that could use this system:

• Rondache
• Soulreaper axe
• Sunlight spear (Leagues)
• Lithic sceptre (Leagues)
• Dragonfire shield
• Dragonfire ward
• Ancient wyvern shield

and with a dedicated orb, Jagex would encounter less friction if they tried to expand this system to add new items, as it seems to be a design space they want to explore.

A while back, someone on the internet posted a video of a bean soup recipe. One of the top comments was "What if I don't like beans?".

This became known as the Bean Soup Theory. It's the inability to realize that not everything is creating for specifically you.

I feel like we’ve all been talking about how underwhelming the Obligator looks for a mega rare, but honestly, the name is just as bad.

“Obligator” sounds like a placeholder name that somehow made it through development. It doesn’t sound iconic, intimidating, or remotely on the same level as the Twisted Bow, Scythe of Vitur, or Tumeken’s Shadow.

This is supposed to be a mega rare from one of the hardest pieces of content in the game. The name should feel legendary.

Some alternative listed below:

Ocellus’s Flail
Ocellus’s Bane
The Eldritch Flail

I’m not saying these are necessarily perfect, but I think all three would be a massive improvement over “Obligator.”

Anyone else feel the same? Any other recommendations?
