We get this question a lot in this sub, "what should I buy?" or "How do I fix my audio?"
For anyone pleased with their audio set up, please share your headphones, mic, programs, and anything having to do with perfecting your audio set up!
(No links please! Just share the names of products/programs when sharing)

I have watched youtube videos and read guides and still feel like my stream is signifcantly blurrier than I am expecting it to be. I just stream for myself to watch later and vibe to while I work maybe clip some highlights.
I am streaming at 720p60 with 10k bitrate. Downscaling from 2k.
I feel like there is a silver bullet I have to be missing but I am not finding anything.

Hi everyone! I recently saw a TikTok LIVE where a virtual printer prints viewers' profile pictures and usernames on customized cards. The cards appear one by one, and TikTok gifts seem to trigger special prints.
Does anyone know the exact name of this game or website?
I'm looking for the same game or something similar that I can use on my own TikTok LIVE. Preferably, I'd like a free or affordable option that works with TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Does it matter if I get steel series headphones, fifine k668t mic in white color or black. Does white look bad on stream when exposed with the face. I asked AI and it said it does that. black gear blends with wall and looks professional. I am trying to stream in dark with color lights and logitech litra glow to glow the face.

Im having trouble keeping my spotify tab unfrozen on my stream when playing a game. The audio plays 100% no problem but the app freezes on my livestream once I minimize spotify to play the game. I only have 1 monitor to work with >_<
Solutions I've tried both through spotify web browser and the spotify web app:
1- Disabled hardware acceleration in my Browser (didn't work)
2- Chose window capture instead of Display Capture, chose the spotify app itself (didn't work)
3- Manually opening spotify everytime the song changes so it can change on my stream (this is a working but annoying solution)
4- Toggled off Enable hardware acceleration on spotify and restarted the app
5- Connected a second screen using my personal chromebook and spacedesk to display spotify (This worked the way I wanted!! But in result my game dropped 70fps and experienced MASSIVE ping issues making the game and stream completely unplayable and unenjoyable to watch!!)
Theres a solution on google that im unable to do just bc it gives me different options aswell? When going to System > Display > Graphics intructions say to click on "Change default graphics settings." and "Toggle Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling to Off" Which those option isn't there for me so I can't proceed to try it.
This sounds like an easy fix I just am having soo much difficulty any tips would be appreciated!!
EDIT!!!: Figured out something that works for me!! Just had to open the miniplayer and it stays on my screen indefinetly until i turn it off o(* ̄︶ ̄*)o

I feel like everything I see on this sub is people who are new streaming, and good for them that's cool. But none of y'all understand how grueling it is to actually become successful not to mention most of the people asking for advice aren't even sure what they wanna stream. It's a very low chance that you ever even become a top 10% streamer and that goes for any platform. I feel like a lot of people see it online and think it's easy, but it's really not as easy as y'all think it is. i'm not trying to discourage newcomers, but to save you from a waste of time. if you're not going to actually try, stream 4+ days, a week, consistently post clips from the stream and short form content as well as longform videos on all platforms, including TikTok, YouTube Instagram, Facebook, then it's just a waste of time and money. Obviously this is for people who are wanting to actually make it a career and get to the top if it's just a hobby then cool do your thing but I feel like a lot of people have extremely unrealistic perceptions of how streaming is and I'm curious what everybody else here thinks. For reference I have over 150,000 followers on all platforms I've been doing this since 2023.

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my mic setup from the cheap Logitech headset (that I use for gaming) to something with better sound quality. I'm trying to avoid using a boom mic, since I don't have a ton of space in my desk area, and I do really like having the mic mounted on my head so that I never need to think about whether my mouth is in a good position for my voice to be captured.
*However*, I am also in an odd category of people in that I don't actually play game audio from my headset speakers, so ideally I'd love a solution that doesn't come with earphones at all (since it's much more comfortable not having my ears covered for a couple hours on end). Wired would probably also be best, but if it's fairly reliable and easy to charge, I don't see why wireless would be a problem, provided quality is good.
I tried grabbing a $10 lapel mic from Amazon, and while the sound quality is excellent when positioned near my mouth, when clipped to my collar it's significantly worse. Ideally I'd prefer some sort of mic like this, but with an attached head mounted band. Apparently these are called earsets, but most that I've found are fairly high-end with minimalist designs for singing on stage. Feels kinda silly to dump a ton of money into something like that when ten dollar microphones are good enough for me, in terms of audio quality itself.
(As an aside, I did try taping the above lapel mic to an old headset band I had sitting around, but it was kinda tough to keep resulting the jury rigged contraption sturdy and functional for consistent use.)
Thanks for any advice!

Hi humans, I was wondering how do you guys connect any website or chrome extensions to whatever platform you're using streaming on?
I'm kinda working for a company which makes helps you add captions in videos so we kinda want to implement this for lives or streaming so whoever stream can somehow connect out site with streaming platform.
But the problem is 1) is it realistic? 2) how to do that 3) how do people actually connect things to streaming platforms? And more.
I need to give my boss a report on this but I'm not sure how do make it into an achievable goal.
I would appreciate any ideas and solutions, thanks for reading this far.

Hi, I'm seeking to stream in the future but outside of watching some ppl by myself, I unfortunately don't know enough about it whether it is about the setup, cameras, anything really.. I wanted to ask if there's some tips you can give me that can help me later on, whether it is to do it on PC or from consoles. Thank you

Just off the bat I don’t need this for streaming but more so just recording clips and footage of games from my console and I can’t think of any better subreddit’s to ask (if there is then some direction would be nice)
Is there any good budget friendly capture cards that can get some good quality footage
The plan is to eventually upgrade to an Elgato but they’re like in the $200 range over here in NZ

I’ve started streaming and have started off quite successful, but sometimes my gaming time during streams gets interrupted by my connection going bad; causing the stream to crash or disconnecting me from the online game Im playing which just messes up the momentum of my commentary and stuff.
Is there anything you guys recommend I buy to improve my wifi while streaming? I would do an ethernet cable, but my router is all the way downstairs so I can’t do that.

Hey friends, I'm playing a bunch of really random games, from Marvel Rivals to Dead by Daylight, BO4 and Single Players like Until Dawn. Do you think it's good to have a broad range of games as a gaming streamer? Or that it's better to focus on only one or two games?
I just started with streaming again and hoping to find some new friends and grow my channel but it's honestly hard to decide what the best approach is. I'm not a ranked player or E-Sportler, I enjoy casual lobbies and just having fun, talking about random things and getting some trophies along the way <3 So should I pick one or two games to play regularly or would it also work to just play whatever I feel like, even if it's many different games? And what is some advice to grow as a small streamer except for having Tiktok to post clips from VODs?
Any advice will be much appreciated. I don't use a cam so that is off the table, but I'm very open to other suggestions.

I wanna preface this by saying I have been doing some googling to try and find answers on my own, but it seems most people ask this question before they have affiliate or are even able to stream on TikTok, so the answers are not helping very much
So I recently started streaming on Twitch after a couple year break. I managed to get affiliate earlier this week, but I was thinking of using TikTok to help expand my viewer base. Right now I'm just using TikTok to post funny clips from my streams. I have enough followers on TikTok to go live; I'm just not sure if it's a good idea to stream to two sites at the same time and if it is the best way to go about it
I use OBS to stream to Twitch, and I typically play Minecraft with a PNGTuber. Would it be easy enough to just set up a vertical format with TikTok Live Studio and just stream at the same time?
Usually, when I stream on Twitch, I get 2-3 viewers, but I have nearly 5,000 followers on TikTok, and I'm hoping some of my mutuals might find it easier to tune in on tiktok and maybe be enticed to see things fullscreen on twitch or to find new viwers.
Any advice is appreciated!

So here is my goal: stream either gameplay or usual desktop stuff (perhaps CAD designing) alongside bluetooth headset that's connected to my phone, bonus if I can overlay my phone camera as a face overlay.
I can think of a few possible work arounds:
PROBLEM: No viable headset, as when I use bluetooth headset, it interferes with my mouse that is also BT, and so they both end up freezing out.
2) If there was a way to send my PC screen, to my phone, and use that as my "camera" on discord, that would probably work?
PROBLEM: I don't know how to do that, OBS doesn't seem to interact with mobile.
3) Point the phone camera at my TV/monitor.
PROBLEM: This works, but it's a joke answer. I don't prefer to do this.
___
please and thanks in advance!
EDIT: I'm using CachyOS btw and android samsung 🤮 phone

I want to start streaming and making videos in general for Twitch, YouTube, and social media. I just want it to be something casual, and I don't have a huge budget.
I don't have any headphones, a microphone, or any streaming gear yet, but my PC is pretty good since I do 3D modeling, so I'm already covered there.
I was thinking about getting a FIFINE XLR microphone. I still need to find some headphones (preferably something comfortable and nicelooking, no wireless, i prefear light colors), and maybe a good light. The webcam I have is just a cheap Logitech one, so I might want to upgrade that too.
My budget is pretty low, around €200 for everything, but I could stretch it a bit depending on the options.
Any recommendations?

Hello! Hello! I really appreciate all the help on my previous question about my camera set for my ps5. ✌️
I stream on Youtube. I am assuming i wont be able to play ANY licensed music? Is Twitter more laxed with that?
I streamed one of the Mafia games and it got red flagged for music playing in the car radio. Lol.
Not that I am going to slide over to Twitter... or should I?
Anyway, I appreciate the feedback and suggestions. 🎮🖥✌️

Hi,
I am looking for a capture card which is capable of capturing the following resolutions:
1920x1080 (16:9, HD)
1600x1200 (4:3)
1280x1024 (5:4)
optional:
3840x2160 (16:9, 4K)
The framerate is secondary, at least 30Hz.
Are there any cards that fit this criteria? I haven't had much luck online.
Thanks in advance!
