Some scammer thought he was clever trying to trick me, but I'm wondering whether or not he would get banned with just one report.

I’ve been on Reddit for over five years but haven’t interacted much. Now I’d like to participate, but most subreddits require 100 comment karma.

How did you get started?

Lately few accounts i know have got permanent / temporary bans from reddit. But there hasn't been policy violations. Is anyone facing this same thing ?

someone help me pls

I’m new to Reddit and I’m not too sure on how to build my karma to post on other sub reddits

Hello, my post showing my own CachyOS desktop was removed by Reddit. I shared it in r/cachyos, r/LinuxPorn, and r/kde after Reddit suggested sharing it with relevant communities. My intention was to share my desktop customization, not to spam. Could you please review the removal and clarify which rule the post violated? Thank you.

Here are links to posts:

https://www.reddit.com/r/LinuxPorn/comments/1xfuvx7/a_simple_and_beautiful_cachyos_desktop/

I’m frustrated and disappointed by this experience, especially because I shared my post in relevant communities following Reddit’s own suggestions. Having my original content removed without a clear explanation leaves me unsure what I did wrong or how to avoid the same issue in the future. I would appreciate a clear explanation and a fair review of the removal.

Hi, I just got a DM from someone spouting the same old line that another scammer used on me earlier this year, namely, that they’d "clicked on a suspicious link and reported me by mistake", which had led me being shadowed.

Here we go again !

I don’t remember the procedure for reporting this to the admins. The report dialog on their profile doesn’t list that specific reason.

Can someone please guide me through this ? I’d like to act quickly. Thank you very much !

So while trying to initiate private DM’s, I’m getting message of “Wow, you’ve sent a lot of invites, let’s take a break” is this related to relatively new account or is there a limit on how many private DMs? Not sending any type of spam or solicitation of any kind. Not sending any links. Can someone tell me why this is happing?

I used to make throwaway accounts to ask embarrassing questions on Reddit (cough cough relationship advice) that I don’t want people who know my real account to see.

More recently, any time I try my posts get deleted instantly with the message “Sorry, this post was removed by reddits filters”

I make sure I follow all rules on the subreddit I’m posting to. I feel like this is a higher up level Reddit thing rather than just the specific subreddit deleting posts. Maybe I’m wrong though. I assume it’s because my account is new, with no other posts and zero karma.

So are throwaway accounts just not allowed anymore?

I have 1k+ karma and trying to post in the subs i was always most active in. My account was recently banned for 3 days due to vote manipulation as i accidentally upvoted my post from an alt account, since then im not being able to post in any sub, even in the sub i'm the top 1% poster, how to fix this issue?

For a long while since I started using reddit again I keep on seeing these disgusting videos and posts of People hurting, killing, or showing dead bodies and I really don't want to see that stuff how do I fix this I report them and have blocked so many accounts to try and stop this but it keeps on happening when I'm just trying to scroll please please please help

Received a chat request and then the following messages. I have already reported it, and then blocked.

Who should I report further? Any action needed from my side?

I had a user award an old comment of mine about moving then DM me saying they had a q about the comment. I assumed they wanted a rec on the moving company I used.

Instead they then sent me a screenshot of their CV(??) and asked if I could forward it to anyone I knew. I just said I couldn’t help and blocked them, then they replied to the same comment the next day with an alt account and are now going through the whole thread awarding all my comments and repeatedly replying demanding to know why they’re blocked? Bro you’re just being weird as shit.

I reported the new account and blocked it as well, and also deleted the comments on the thread (very annoying because I had a lot of fun replies on those) but it’s really irritating and idk if they’re going to make a third alt and try again. Anything I can do? I tried posting in r/help and got deleted.

Is there any certain number that can be used or unlimited ?

And, i don't how i got these

How do I find out why I was banned from a subreddit? There is nothing about it in my notifications.

be kind pla

I am beyond upset. I type a lot and quick typer so I search posts and reply and ask a lot. No spam , no copy paste.

And I get told by mods the reason I am blocked from asking in groups is because i am flagged as a spammer? And they do not explain just mute me and dismiss me. I am beyond upset because I am always on here helping people respond etc. , seek advice and give advice and this feels like some kind of an attack.

If I make a new account it will just keep doing this, and I get messages from reddit saying " WHOA YOU SENT ENOUGH MESSAGES TODAY" even if it was like 5 DM's to random forums unrelated? Am I not understanding reddit?

Hello! I’m fully aware this is my fault for using the same passwords for almost a decade but my OG account was hacked and turned into a bot account spamming a Telegram link in NSFW subreddits.

I was able to change the password but can’t access the account cause 2FA has been enabled. I’ve put in a ticket with Reddit support but I keep getting emails about chat requests sent to that accounts DMs from horny dudes trying to connect with the hacker 😭

Do I just wait for Support to get back to me?

I have no clue what happened. I’m active in a lot of music production communities. I don’t break rules or say anything that would have gotten me banned. My comments are always kind, encouraging stuff to other music makers.

My profile has been set to stock images and everything is gone. I had a bunch of followers and now it says zero. I’m a content creator on most of the big platforms. I’ve never experienced this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
u/ser-contained

I never received any message from Reddit about it. Any new comment or post gets instantly removed.

I've been getting DMs of people who want to connect with me but since I've kept my chat settings to receiving invites selectively, I'm seeing their profiles and chat invites in my message requests but not exactly the content of those messages in most of them. It's blank and only shows the profile name. Could it be a bug?

What should I do if my pfp uploads weirdly cropped, even though the image itself looks totally fine?

This is my first time downloading Reddit and this happens, and I have no idea what to do! I've tried re-uploading it, but the result is always the same. Hope this fits the subreddit. I asked an acquaintance of mine first, but he said he's never seen anything like this before.

I also noticed that this bug only happens with this particular image, I tried using others, and they work fine, but I want this one specifically, and if there's a way to make it display properly, I'd like to use it.

Just new to Reddit and I'm trying to figure out how to check the requirements to post in a subreddit

Ich habe noch ihren Nutzernamen und wenn ich den bei zwei Accounts eingebe, finde ich sie nicht. Heißt das, dass ihr Account gelöscht wurde?
