I’m enjoying seeing more 2’s on the fridge. Interestingly, we’re .500 against the Metro, Atlantic, and Central. Our +3 games are basically just from the Pacific, in a sense.

EDIT: The original creator of the visual schedule suggested filling in wins/losses/OTLs with different colors, but since I’m a bit colorblind I went with 2/1/0. Also, they are 2’s not a’s (it’s just my handwriting).

To be clear, the Devils did great on this deal. They landed a guy who’s just over a year removed from being MVP, and the price was basically four nickels for a quarter. We all know about GM Sunny Mehta’s previous comments about goaltending uncertainty, but nothing in there is in conflict with what he ultimately did on this deal. If goaltending has the highest variability of any position — and it definitely does — then that doesn’t mean you never try to improve it. It just means you don’t overpay. Mehta very much didn’t. This trade should be a good one for New Jersey.

And maybe it ends up being a perfect fit. Jesse Granger thinks it might be.

My wife and I are coming down in January for a bolts vs devils game. She’s a die hard bolts fan and I am a die hard devils AND bolts fan. Mainly because we live a half hour from both the crunch and the comets and we go to both arenas quite regularly. With all that being said, she will have her Tampa jersey on and I’ll have my devils jersey with a Tampa hat. I’m kind of excited for the shit talking I’ll get. Just know, the devils are my boys🤙🏻

Tell me if I'm crazy with this idea: Larkin for Meier + 1st rd pick. I think Detroit is getting good value, sure Timo hasn't been lighting up the lamp but he's a streaky play and can string a bunch of goals together quickly. If we need to add more to sweeten the pot I wouldn't be against it either.
