I find October to lack species diversity, so I spend a lot more time focused on hiking than looking for specific species. These photos were taken all across Maine over the past few weeks!

Crazy enough this is in Downtown Vancouver, BC!

Had just parked to go into work and this hawk landed right on my car. I'm pretty sure it's a young cooper's hawk but please correct me if i'm wrong. Super unafraid it wouldn't leave until i shooed it off, and was also seen on the back of my car hours later by a coworker.

A giant among hummingbirds, appropriately named the Giant Hummingbird. Few places offer as many opportunities to photograph this impressive bird as Ensifera ensifera. Perched, in flight, however you like!

Loving the fall colors this time of year

This image was taken in Arizona in May of 2022. My grandpa is an avid bird photographer and has taken me with on many trips throughout my life, passing his knowledge on to me. I will be accompanying my grandparents on another trip to Arizona this upcoming spring and I hope we get to see this beautiful bird again.
