Just curious if anyone found this art from the likes of Joe Hahn, Sid Wilson, or DJ Lethal? I remember really enjoying what they brought to the mix in their respective bands which enticed me to dive further into the art.

Beat jump is a common feature in dj software.The Beat jump interval is either a fixed preset or you can input a specific time in milliseconds in virtualdj. This is very useful tool in a studio workflow.

Linkin Park "live in texas" Dvd came out, and 13yo me discovered scratch, i was obsessed with that concert, mostly when why were filming Mr Hahn. Next chance i got, i went to destroy that poor record player my step dad had in his setup... needle went flying, and i tried to replace it, but no luck in my small mountain town...

Came clean expecting a good ass whooping, nope, took me to the music store of his bud and signed me up for scratch lessons. I was the only kid in there, all the others were taking the TECHNO class.

He then surprised me with an entry level numark set (on belts) he was a great dude.

Worked my ass off during holiday to end up with Stanton str-8 set, Serato and all.

We used to organize little DMC style battle, rap, breaking battles, we were all terrible but that was the best.

For the funny story and those who remembers, i was from a small town, that happens to be where DJ Mathematics went to live... saw that legend at the convenience store all the time, no clue of who was that dude with an accent.

Anyway, now, 23 years later, went to treat myself and got all setup again, slowly getting back into it. And i love this sub y all awesome.

Waiting of finishing my art den to get the other Rane out of the box. But couldn't resist setting up a little battle set.

Sorry for the little book, but i was wondering, any other moms or dad here, still finding time for this? How did you get into it?

The inventor of the Stanton Focus fader if anyone remembers it. I met Ruben Meraz aka DJ Focus around 1992 when I was 17 and he was making beats in a half flooded basement at home. This man really came from the bottom and got it out the mud as they say. I've always been a fan of his and happy for his success. I hope he is happy and healthy and still scratching that itch!

Can I remove the Rane Twelve MK2 platter, place a 3D printed plastic platter and use it without turning off the motor?

Does it harm the turntable if I remove the metal platter and use the turntable turtning off the motor?

I just need the midi signals when I move the vinyl.

How much do u think this will be priced? Cuz I do think it’ll end up being around £1000 tbh lol, if the MK7 already is already priced at £800…

I don’t think this is a MK7 replacement either, cuz they’re restocking most of the MK7s here in the UK which hav been mostly sold out since a month. So this probs will be even more expensive, probs to compete with the CRSS12 minus the DVS mode

I’m looking to buy a cartridge specifically for scratching, and I’m torn between the Ortofon OM Pro S Q.Bert, Concorde Scratch MK2, om scratch white and VNL TRIX.
Does anyone have any recommendations or firsthand experience with these cartridges?
Feel free to suggest other models if you think there are better options!

Hey all, does anyone have a Rane Twelve that after quite some time in unused it just vibrates instead of playing smoothly? The platter is not behaving the way I’d expect and I can’t tell what the issue is.

InMusic sent me the following which I will troubleshoot but I wanted to ask here before I go ahead and do the stuffs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

From InMusic:
> A screeching or friction-type noise at certain pitch ranges can sometimes be related to the platter assembly, most commonly the slipmat, spacers, or control disc not seated quite right after storage, or the spindle/adapter area needing light maintenance.

Before arranging service, here are a few quick checks that often eliminate the issue:
1. Re-seat the Platter & Control Disc
 - Remove the control disc by pressing the button on the Quick Release Adapter.
 - Lift off the slipmat and ensure the platter is firmly and evenly pressed onto the motor pins.
 - Verify the platter rotates smoothly without wobble.
 - Reapply the slipmat and control disc, making sure you hear the “click” when the control disc locks onto the spindle.
2. Check Slipmat / Spacers
 - If spacers were used to adjust slip friction, try temporarily removing them to see if the noise changes.
 - Ensure the slipmat is clean, flat, and not rubbing against anything inside the platter cavity.
3. Motor & Torque Settings
 - Confirm the Motor Torque switch (on the bottom panel) is firmly set to either High or Low. If it is partially between positions, friction noise can occur.
4. General Cleaning
 - If the unit has been stored for a long time, light debris or dust around the spindle or platter underside can cause noise. A gentle wipe of these areas (dry, non-abrasive cloth) can help.
