Hi everyone, I really need a human to help me troubleshoot an accessibility issue (I have had it with the AI circling). My daughter is disabled and needs her Right Joystick to control character movement instead of the Left Joystick.

We are playing Pokémon Pokopia on the Nintendo Switch 2. I have already gone into the console's System Settings > Accessibility > Button Mapping and changed the stick settings to swap the left and right inputs. However, when we go back into the game, the character still will not move with the right stick.

We are playing with a joy con from the switch 1 with a 3d printed holder. The switch 2 controller is just to big for her hand.

Has anyone successfully forced a joystick swap on the Switch 2, or is there something in Pokopia's settings overriding this? Any step-by-step help from a real person would mean the world to us.

Hi everyone, I recently discovered that Nintendo Switch 2 owners can share virtual game cards. I’ve done a bit of research, but I’d like to ask for your advice regarding my specific situation so I can be sure it’s safe to do this. I’ve heard of many cases where Nintendo Switch accounts have been banned, and I want to play it safe.

Here’s the question: if my girlfriend sets up her Switch 2 account on my Switch 2 as well (we live apart) and sends me a game (which, if I understand correctly, she has to do initially by bringing her console close to mine), can I then legitimately play that game on my Switch 2 (using my own account) while she’s at home playing her Switch 2 (a different game)? Or is there a risk of running into some kind of problem?

And then, if, for example, she revokes my access to the game because she wants to play it herself, can she do that remotely and then grant me access again remotely? Is all of this secure? Can you play multiple games at once, or just one? And if she launches a game she’s given me while I’m playing it, will the game be permanently blocked for her, or will she simply be asked to revoke my license, thereby interrupting my gameplay?

Hi! I have powered on my switch after a long while and found that my screen looks like this. The spots stay in the same spot, but change visibility from the angle you look at it and background colour. It might be slightly fading the longer it's on but it never disappears completely. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks in advance.

So for Christmas I'm getting my two daughters Switch 2 consoles (I know, I know, Dad of the Year) but I had a question about the Family Plan, specifically about DLC content. I have the DLC content on the parent account for Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, if my kids use my carts to play will they have access to the DLC as well or would I have to purchase another license?

So in September’s Nintendo direct, they announced the resident evil remakes were coming digital in October (already out now) and physical on January for Europe.
I’m confused about when we might expect the preorders to go live, whether they will be GKC, and if it’s going to be a pack like the generations pack one was, or will be released individually. I tend to just get a game I want after it’s released since I don’t care that much about release dates, but considering this will probably be a limited release like the other one was, I was wondering if someone could give me some idea of the product as nintendo and capcom have gone completely quiet about the physical release after it got announced, and I can’t find any info on Nintendo’s webside (I tried checking playasia but it’s apparently down).
If you preordered the generations pack earlier this year, could you please tell me how it went? I wanna know more about it since this will be the first time I’ve preordered switch games (aside from pokemon, but those are always well announced and easy to preorder). Just bought the new fire emblem updated it then about 2 minutes into the game did this in a cutscene.

Home and power button wouldn't work and had to do 20 second hold for hard shutdown.

Now it wont turn back on no matter what i do

I have tried connecting it to power again and it was on 100% when i was playing.

Any ideas?

I’m used to PlayStation and struggling with the Switch 2 in handheld mode. Are there replacement left and right Joy-Cons that attach directly to the console, with both analog sticks at the bottom like a DualSense?

Better grips would help too, but the stick layout is my main concern. I’ve looked at the NYXI Hyperion 3 and abxylute N6, but they still have offset sticks. Any suitable alternatives, including announced products?

My right JoyCon keeps disconnecting randomly...and has also started lagging.

I have made sure everything is updated and that the battery is fully charged. Guys I don't know what's going on and right now I cannot afford to buy new JoyCons. Has anyone else experienced this area someone with more experience help me out!? I'd appreciate any advice.

Hey, I bought the digital version of Call of Duty for Switch 2 even though I already own it on PS5. I've played COD on and off for around 10–15 years, usually coming back for new releases.

My Switch 2 barely gets used, so I thought having COD for holidays and travelling would be a good reason to use it. I played two matches in handheld mode and honestly, the controls felt awful. I barely knew how to hold it while moving and aiming properly, despite being comfortable playing on PS5.

I have very small hands. The most awkward part seems to be the offset analog sticks: the left one is high and the right one is low, compared with the two lower, symmetrical sticks on the DualSense. I'm not sure whether the main problem is that layout, the smaller sticks, or the flat grip.

Is there any controller attachment actually compatible with Switch 2 that gives it symmetrical, PlayStation-style sticks while keeping everything together as one handheld? I want to hold the screen and controls together, not put the console on a table and use a separate controller. Exact product names and firsthand experience would really help.

If that isn't an option, have grips, different attached controllers or stick caps helped anyone with small hands? I'm open to settings or gyro tips too, but the physical feel is my main issue.

And for PlayStation players who pushed through this: did it really start feeling natural after 10–20 hours? I know two matches is hardly giving it a chance, and I'm fine with getting destroyed while learning. It just feels so wrong right now that I'm wondering whether I need different hardware rather than another 100 hours of practice.

I just noticed my switch 2 has a slight coil whine when I get close to it in handheld from the intake vents. Unsure if this is normal or just noticing now? Sorry my ocd is bad with this device lol

New switch 2 owner, well almost. I have the Zelda edition pre-order due soon and wanted a shell to keep it safe whilst handheld and can be docked with it on. Needs to be clear because the console looks amazing. Not bothered about potential yellowing as I'll just replace it if it's good after it goes tinted. Any suggestions are much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Video was taken a month or so ago. I promise the switch has been carefully cleaned since then. The joycon drift has only gotten worse.

The switch is maybe 4 years old, so probably not under any warranty. I have terribly shaky hands, Tourette's, and fat fingers, so work as delicate as taking the switch apart and trying to fix it myself isn't a good idea. It is very hard for me to play games because it's so bad. It's maybe worth noting that I have 1000+ hours of save data on this thing.

Sometimes when playing my switch 2 it just randomly sends me to the tv home screen switch 2 is still docked to my knowledge as all I need to do is reselect it on the home menu but it's still annoying I don't think it happens with my pc but I really don't have enough time to test that out and everything else I can think of as i do have a job amd it doesnt happen at consistent times so it would be alot of playing that as i mentioned i dont have time for. I have a roku tv idk if that helps or not, but I figured I should mention it just in case.

How can I make it so that their system isn’t linked to directly to my own Switch, but they are on my family plan, still?

I believe I messed up by linking our systems. I already owned Pokopia and I got them a copy, too. Due to them being linked now, the download code reads as “already purchased” and I can no longer play my own copy of Pokopia if they are playing.

All I wanted was for them to have the access to online features, but due it being cheaper, I wanted them on my family plan that covers up to 8, or what have you and to be able to play games with me.

My switch 2 is stuck on the setup screen and won't respond to the controllers clipping on to the switch. The controllers lights also won't sync up (it blinks but doesn't have the solid light) the controllers also dont do anything on the safe mode screen. The switch even does the recognition animation. But the controllers won't cause it to switch screens Is there any way to fix them? I've tried plugging them up to the switch and letting them charge with it to no use. Please help

Hello guys, I just bought a Nintendo Switch Lite and joined the community. I just have an issue about playing FIFA 19. I can't pass where I want to pass, I can't shoot where I want to shoot. Gameplay isn't fluent as PC version because of this problem. I am the first user of the device so I don't think it's about a drifting problem. My settings are set to assisted. So is there any common problem in Switch versions? Or do I have someting missed? Can you help me please?

Anyone run into issues with the bottom charging port? It now only works sometimes and I can no longer use the dock….

I rarely use my joycons. I played with them for the first time in about 2 weeks for around 3 hours on Switch Sports Resort. Both sounded completely fine. I was using the right one more as most sports are one-handed and at around the 2.5hr mark the right joycon started vibrating really weirdly. It's as if you could feel out every individual vibration rather than a smooth rumble. It's a bit louder than usual and you can hear something is wrong every time it vibrates. Seems to be working alright when it comes to everything else such as motion controls and inputs.

This happened after a was somehow able to claim castlevania back from the switch in the picture while it was playing castlevania

Everything was fine until I rebooted my switch but it wasn’t turning on after that. I did the volume I button trick thing and it didnt work. I held the power button down 20 seconds to 1 minute and nothing worked. Im at a loss now and I feel like crying because I had just bought it a week ago and used my savings on it. Please help

I’m planning on waiting outside my local Best Buy to get the Zelda switch 2, but am unsure about when to get there for the best chance at getting it.

Since I’m in the Midwest, the drop will be at 11pm. I was planning to get there around 5pm, but want to be sure I’m one of the first people in line.

Any advice on when to get there?
