Seeds & World Gen Starting a forever world today, looking for a perfect seed to start my Minecraft forever journey.

• Upvotes

Hello everyone today will hopefully be the start of my forever world and I am looking for a seed that will get me a good start.

The type of seed that I’m looking for is a flat plains seed with a oak birch spawn that has 2 or 4 villages nearby for easy access to villagers, and I want this seed to have multiple biomes around a large ocean but it must not be any continents or island just one single landmass.

Seeds & World Gen Found a Iron Vein in my Hardcore world, it didnt stop.

• Upvotes

I had to copy my world and check just HOW much iron there is. WHAT THE HELL?

Over 2 Thousand iron ores in a basically single vein. There are a few stray irons that arent connected, but its not significant enough to matter.

If anyone wants it:

Discussion I feel like the drop system should also focus on the other dimension

So, with most drops, the content is focused on the overworld. The only exception is the chase the skies drop, but it's just a variant if an existing mob.

I feel like the drop system is a great opportunity to add even more content to the other dimensions, though not too much (like, at most one biome or 1 structure, just judging by how much content drops usually add).

Now, obviously, a large update is preferred for the end especially, and we should get the biome vote and mob vote losers first, but I still think that, maybe once a year at least, there should be a drop entirely focused on either the nether or the end.

Discussion Imagine if Mojang surprised us next shapshot

Post image
• Upvotes

I've seen posts in Twt that the next snapshot is gonna be the last one with new features in it. I'm not pushing these rumours as being true, but if that's the case, then its either one major feature being added or they could surprise us with lots of features majority of the community asks.

Imagine if they added snow brick/blockset, calcite blockset, iceologer, and penguins in one snapshot, that would be crazy.

Realistically, no, that's not going to happen I think. However my money is on calcite blockset though. With snow bricks, it's likely to happen, but since we already got packed ice bricks, I don’t personally think it's happening because if so, they would've added this last snapshot when packed ice blockset were introduced.

With iceologer, it seems unlikely, but they could probably saving the best for last. Penguins... no offense but I think it's going to happen, but some other time.

But who knows, if the next snapshot for snowy drop is going to be the last with brand new features in it, I'm more intrigued of what's going to be the next snowy feature.

I've tried corner stairs, sadly you can't just do them. Using a block and then more stairs around creates the same problem. This is Java BTW. Thank you in advance.

Builds & Maps I made a portrait Alysa Liu

This Minecraft portrait depicts American figure skater and 2026 Olympic champion Alysa Liu.

The new cushions were used for her face: black cushions for her eyes; red cushions for her lips; and white cushions for her teeth. For her iconic halo hair, where she adds a new stripe each year, like how trees grow a ring yearly, it is represented by customized banners.

Redstone & Techs Dispenser Problem

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

When I power a set of dispensers some of the bottom dispensers don't work. As demonstrated in the video, the bottom two dispensers to the right works right after setting up the machine(repeaters) but after than they fail while the rest of them work. Even the bottom left one works but not the two dispensers to the right. This problem is also found in the TNT cannon later shown on the video. Please help.

Help Java Enabling Minecart Experimental Feature on an existing world?

I've looked but can't find any help on this. I have a Java 26.3 world that I want to enable the minecart features on, but can't. I know I need to use NBT explorer to enable it but all the sources I've found are for enabling crafters or bundles, and they're all for 1.21. How do I enable the minecart stuff on 26.3? Thanks in advance

Help Where can I find a good Fennec and other Fauna Mod for Java 26.3?

I play on Java. Is there a mod anywhere that adds cute Fennecs and other fauna? Faunify doesn't work on 26.3 I think, and Naturalist might not have Fennecs on Java unlike their Bedrock Add-On.

I feel the artstyle from Animal Garden isn't my preference, so I didn't really try to download it.

Edit: I use Fabric.

Help Hello! so recently, my minecraft hasn't been letting me join servers. More or less it just times me out.

So, up until recently, my minecraft has been good and letting me join servers and whatnot. Until today, where it keeps me stuck on the connecting to server screen and then saying i got timed out. I've already tried a bunch of troubleshooting on my internet, turning off dns and even having custom settings i got from online. I've also fixed my windows firewall, even reinstalling the game. I dont know what else to try and i've been really hoping for a fix. For additional info, it shows my ping for every server im in, and this has also been happening on all of my minecraft clients. Lunar, and Minecraft launcher. Here are some screenshots. If you guys have any fixes, please tell me. Thanks!

Discussion Minecraft doesn't need another dimension. It needs a better foundation

First of all, I'm not against the SIFT update. I'm actually curious to see what it brings to the game. But I keep thinking: shouldn't Mojang focus on improving the game we already have before adding even more content?

I've been playing Minecraft for years. I started on PC, moved to PS3 and PS4, and returned to PC. I played Java Edition for a bit, then legacy edition but since 1.18, I've played Bedrock Edition, in the same world.

And over time, I've noticed the same recurring issues: bugs, parity problems, performance issues, and features that still feel incomplete.

Bedrock Edition with frustrating bugs, performance problems, and parity issues that have been around for years. The off-hand limitations are just one example. I'm sure Bedrock players could fill an entire thread with others.

Java Edition has a different problem. I'd really want to know how many players run the game completely vanilla, without performance mods like Sodium or Optifine, or datapacks that improve the experience. The modding community has done an incredible job filling gaps and giving players options that the base game doesn't offer.

And in the shared experience, I think Minecraft's world itself could use more attention. Some biomes still feel empty, exploration can lack atmosphere, and certain structures and dimensions need more polish and improvements. Updates sometimes introduce features that feel unfinished or leave players still waiting for update improvements like experimental feature. Even the menus and inventory experience could use a serious rethink, especially on Bedrock.

I'm not saying every one of these problems should be fixed right now. But they raise a bigger question about Mojang's priorities.

Minecraft have the biggest community in history of video game with a lot of modders, map makers, technical players, builders, and longtime fans. Thousands of ideas have already been developed, tested, and refined by people who understand different aspects of the game.

Imagine Mojang working more closely with these communities to identify recurring problems, evaluate ideas, test potential features, and help prioritize improvements. Not blindly implementing every popular suggestion, but using the community as big source of expertise and feedback.

Mojang often celebrates its community, call us “loved community”. But I think that relationship could go beyond showcasing creations, promoting spin-offs, and selling merch. Players could have a more usefull role in helping improve the core game.

To be clear, I'm not against the SIFT update. I just think that this update look like a cherry on top of a unfinish cake.

New dimensions, mobs, and mechanics are exciting. But performance, parity, ambiance, polish, and long-standing bugs matter too.

So, what do you think about it guys. Should Mojang keep prioritizing new content, or dedicate more updates to fixing and improving the foundations of Minecraft? And what could be the first thing we want them to address?

Help How do I update the version of my world?

Help Java I'd like to ask users who use Mojo Launcher:

Post image

When I try to play older versions like 1.3.2 using the Mojo Launcher or POJAV Launcher, the Mojang logo appears in the bottom right corner and the game freezes. Has anyone else experienced this problem, or does anyone know a solution? My Java version is 8, the renderer is Holy GL4ES, and when I switch to Zink, it freezes on a black screen.
