I've seen posts in Twt that the next snapshot is gonna be the last one with new features in it. I'm not pushing these rumours as being true, but if that's the case, then its either one major feature being added or they could surprise us with lots of features majority of the community asks.

Imagine if they added snow brick/blockset, calcite blockset, iceologer, and penguins in one snapshot, that would be crazy.

Realistically, no, that's not going to happen I think. However my money is on calcite blockset though. With snow bricks, it's likely to happen, but since we already got packed ice bricks, I don’t personally think it's happening because if so, they would've added this last snapshot when packed ice blockset were introduced.

With iceologer, it seems unlikely, but they could probably saving the best for last. Penguins... no offense but I think it's going to happen, but some other time.

But who knows, if the next snapshot for snowy drop is going to be the last with brand new features in it, I'm more intrigued of what's going to be the next snowy feature.

The first thing I thought when I saw them was that they’d used up the best idea they could possibly have had for creating aliens in the game.

Let me explain: they have two eyes, each on a different side of their head, and their entire body is oriented so that a corner faces forward.

No other mob is like this; they all have their faces on a single side—even Creepers and Creakings have their faces positioned that way, and they’re plants!

To my eyes as a taxonomist, this just doesn’t sit right. If the body plan of the other mobs is a monophyletic trait—one unique to them—and the sculkers are so vastly different, it implies they aren’t closely related to animals, plants, or, by extension, fungi.

This is a crucial point, because animals belong to the Opimoda group and plants to the Diphoda group—this is the fundamental division among eukaryotes.

In other words, either the sculkers are a type of eukaryote entirely distinct from all others, or they aren’t eukaryotes at all.

Hello! Long time Minecraft player but just getting into farms and the like. Made a simple mob spawner to start, but spiders keep spawning and then sticking in the corners (picture below). I have buttons down in what I’m sure is the right pattern. Any ideas?

Edit; I’m on PC, playing Java, and to my knowledge it’s the latest version. I have no clue which one that is lol

And if so would you want it renewable via crafting recipe such as in the image or some other way like smelting bone blocks, trading, piglin bartering or new mechanic?

So, with most drops, the content is focused on the overworld. The only exception is the chase the skies drop, but it's just a variant if an existing mob.

I feel like the drop system is a great opportunity to add even more content to the other dimensions, though not too much (like, at most one biome or 1 structure, just judging by how much content drops usually add).

Now, obviously, a large update is preferred for the end especially, and we should get the biome vote and mob vote losers first, but I still think that, maybe once a year at least, there should be a drop entirely focused on either the nether or the end.

I did the free Switch 2 upgrade. TBH, this is going to be a little confusing. Shouldn’t the Switch 2 edition at least have a Switch 2 logo? They have exactly the same in Icon.

With how long the Sift update has been in development, do you think it could end up having more features than any of the 4 huge updates?

With the newest update both colored wool and concrete have gotten stairs and slab variants. Those are amazing additions for builders!
However I feel like Mojang forgot about terracotta which is a shame because the colored terracotta variants provide different, more muted colors that are great for building too (see second image).

I had to copy my world and check just HOW much iron there is. WHAT THE HELL?

Over 2 Thousand iron ores in a basically single vein. There are a few stray irons that arent connected, but its not significant enough to matter.
