Sets affected by these new fakes: Base Set 2, Team Rocket, Gym Heroes, Gym Challenge, Neo Genesis, Neo Discovery, Neo Destiny, Neo Revelation.

Photos 2&3: we see incorrect border size left to right. The fake has smaller borders. The borders top to bottom are the correct size.

Photos 4&5: cosmos foil appears legit with dynamic qualities, however there is noticeable lines that are not scratches vertically across the entire holo

Photos 6, 7&8: Noticeable print quality issues upon close examination, as you can see Misty and Gyarados appear “fuzzy” on all cards.

Photo 9: Stamp is incorrect, it is too spread out for the lettering and the “1” is too long.

Photo 10: Energy issues, water energy symbols are too dark and large, leaf energy is misaligned, colorless energies stars are too small, fighting energy has a white dot instead of white shadow

Photo 11&12: washed out/incorrect colored back. Similar to what we found with the 1st edition shadowless fakes last year the coloring is off and fails the rosette pattern for the “D in the P test” as I reminder I made that test for vintage and modern cards have a different rosette pattern for the newer ones. In photo 12 I added a modern cards to show the differences between the vintage real, vintage fake and modern real cards.

Next up when they arrive: Japanese Non-Holo Fakes, English Non-Holo Fakes, and Finally vintage English and Japanese Reverse Holo fakes.

A friend found his old cards.

He has absolutely no interest in them.

I just said for fun, “Imagine if there was a Charizard in there.”

All of his cards are in perfect condition (in my opinion).

But there are also a few fakes mixed in. Could this Charizard be a fake?

I was able to snag this mew off eBay for 120. seemed too good to be true. is it fake?

Condition on most aren’t great but looked some up and there could be value here. I don’t remember which ones I pulled and which I might’ve traded for but these have been in storage for over a decade.

I think the Mewtwo Arceus darkrai are the newest cards since I remember getting those for christmas in the tins.

Hey guys after opinions on this, recieved 2 boxes from a very highly rated seller in Aus, at expected pricing, but I suspect has shipped from China initially (based on box labels) which was an initial red flag.

Haven't ripped any seals as at first glance comparing it to my opened legit box the printing seems off/spotty? Particularly noticable on the barcodes. Also locations on text and colours seem off unless I'm just over analysing. Opinions/advice appreciated, thanks.

Hello!! I’m a Jolteon collector and picked up my (hopefully real) new holy grail on eBay for $275, which is a pretty good deal for the card from what I can tell even given the condition. Because of that though, I’m a little suspicious… also because the other pictures I see of the card online look even shinier, but that could just be the lighting doing them favors. Any experts able to reassure me that my beautiful boy is real?

I also have a video showing it from different angles if that would help, but I can’t upload both photos and a video it seems. I’m new to Reddit

Is this card real or fake? Bought it for $350 but it feel so different from the modern cards.

I bought this set from the flea market when I was like 12. Never occured to me that they might be fake until I started looking at reddit. Any info is much appreciated. They did come with the binder and some post cards. But I lost the binder and the post cards years ago.
