I am mostly solo player, currently mostly on high sec doing soe l4 missions, and my focus will be pve for the upcoming months but not pvp

I am currently flying on a rattlesnake, with heavy missile , heavy drone and shield skills trained (but not cruise missile yet)

While on rattlesnake I start to feel bad for the delayed damage of missile and drones, not to mention I always overshoot missiles, driving the drones near and far, sometimes even get the drones killed

That’s why I want to try out something else, but I think i will still get it into a golem as the second marauder, just for its versatility and not to waste the skills I already owned

Given above, may I ask you experts opinion on whether I should get a paladin first or vargur? Assume what is invested into skill points is not considered here

I have read a lot of posts/ YouTube videos which some of those may be outdated, thank you guys.

So what I'm really looking for a seeing what you guys fly is a van life ship that you could even potentially just stay out in j-space exploring and suggesting while hardly even having to dock back up occasionally probably just to sell off your data/relic site loot that you've hacked for. I'll also tell you what my main character can fly. I can fly the Astero, Stratios, Buzzard, Anathema, and Cheetah and interested in trying out the Helios as well. But what I would really like to do is be able to see when others are on d-scan while I'm cloaked is find out where they are and if they're most likely in a exploration frigate on their own that I can easily take on then I would love to be able to engage and take them on. My dream ship is a t3 cruiser Loki that I hope to eventually train my skills into and be able to fly and undock. So, overall what do you guys like using for a nomad explorer that could potentially engage and take on others?

I am looking for input from eve players on official CSM discord server to get players opinions on if they want/would pay for citadel skins that change the model of the upwell citadel structures. This would change the look instead of just applying a different pay to the structure itself. There are a ton of neat structure models in eve already and I think people would enjoy a new look.

The goal of these skins would be to maintain the same dimensions of the citadel structure(size of the structure itself and tether distances) but use models already existing in game to give it a new look.

The holy doctrine in EVE that says if you’re not in comms 24/7, you’re basically a heretic. Apparently logging in isn’t enough, you must also sacrifice your peace and quiet to the great discord gods.

We’re ratting, mining, huffing, whatever and somehow the expectation is “Get in comms.”

Oh absolutely, let me drop everything so I can listen to Todd narrate his life story while I shoot rats, truly essential gameplay.

And the best part? Ask a simple question in corp chat something that could be answered with, you know, words and it’s crickets cause everyone is busy stroking eachother in vc and 45 minutes later when someone finally bothers to check ig its “Hop in comms” Yeah man, super convenient. For you.

Meanwhile I’m trying to talk to my actual family, not audition for the role of “Guy Who Breathes Loudly in Discord.” Then there’s the social hierarchy. If you’re not glued to comms like it’s a medical device keeping you alive, you’re never going to be able to anything other than exist. Forget about any sort of role where even only small bit of trust is required. Sorry I didn’t realize friendship required mandatory attendance in the church of voice chat. My bad for having a life.

Comms for PvP? Sure. Comms for PvE? Absolutely not, i don’t need a motivational speech to shoot npc or munch on rocks and watch local, I promise I can handle it with out sitting in comms.

And the whole “best ship is friendship” thing adorable. But why does friendship require me to sit in comms listening to someone’s keyboard clacking like they’re trying to speedrun a novel? We have in‑game chat. CCP put it there on purpose. Wild concept, I know.

Anyway, shoutout to the chill corps who understand that not everyone wants to be trapped in voice comms for every mundane activity. The rest of you can enjoy your 8 hour discord ted talks. I’ll be over here actually enjoying the game.

For standard combat sites this fit can do a sanctum.

6 alablast cruise, 1 done range.

1 cap battery,1 cap recharge,2 shield amps,1 large shield booster cl5.

3 drone damage,4 ballistic

1 drone range rig,2 cap recharge rig

The ship is cap stable just turn on booster,warp to 70km drones go 75km

And sit there,if you start to take to much damage kite backwards

Low sec seems like a bad idea, the cost to negotiate with someone like black flag so it doesn’t get popped immediately seems prohibitive

Sov null same thing, I do wonder if I do it in a quiet system of one of the huge corps how long it would be until they notice

C4,5 seems like an immediate eviction and I don’t even know I can do the sites out there.

NPC null seems like the second best idea, find a quiet system that isn’t close to a big corps sov null, I spent some time in angel and thukker space, seemed quiet? Wonder if I could hide a station there… maybe outer ring or something?

C3 seems like the best idea. Sure it will get evicted eventually but it’s the perfect space for me, problem is moons are only r4s

Listen I know it’s gonna get popped eventually but I’d love to do it and I’d love to make money on it. I’d love any thoughts on where you think it’d be most successful.

At first I was thinking wether i should post this story here or not but then I decided that i should because theres quite abit of bad decisions that led me here.

So I finally come home from work, decide to fly abit in my favourite space submarine game. Unfortunately my small gang and I didnt find good PvP content (we got rolled by 20 Drekavacs) oh well it happens.

So I decide to crab some Abyss. And just right before I was about to go to bed, i've decided.. one more. And that was the first bad decision i've made. You probably can guess where its going. I find my dark hidden spot, jump in do my Abyss, jump out. And I see a whole armada a Sin, Widow, Panthers and so on.. clearly i've no chance.. so i hop out of the ship and decide to save my Capsule and that was actually a good decision.

Cut your losses.

Heres where the bad decisions keep on piling up. I get offered my ship back for 2B Contractwise, thats nice actually unfortunately, i dont have Isk so i cant accept I contact the person.

We whip up an exchange i cough up all my isks and whatever stuff i have and at this moment i knew something was off, like it was off already but now it just feels wrong, I do get the ship, unknowingly obviously i didnt know you could check the fit.

You guessed it right. They got me twice. Like an absolute moron. All the good stuff was taken out of the ship.

Oh well. I guess thats EVE for you.

Dont try to view people as honorable and that they will uphold any promises. Cut your losses, atleast you'll just lose once. Today I lost multiple times. I also gained some semi rare experience.

But eh. Thats okay. Such is life in the world of Multiboxing EVE.

I still got the hull. Maybe i'll rebuild it, move my endeavours somewhere else. Or i'll try out something else. Who knows?

It's almost impossible to do mutaplasmids in 100+ bulk due to the fact that it takes a ton of time to click through hundreds of these. So, adding this button would not only make it easier to create them but it would also improve the availability of good Abyssal modules for all players, which means lower prices for Abyssal modules.
