Bought BTC.B instead of BTC, help!

Using my coinbase wallet, I accidently amd unknowingly bought the wrong version of bitcoin (BTC.B), but after letting me purchase it I cant do anything with it. It won't let me exchange it back to any other coin or even withdraw it to usd. Everything is just saying network not supported.

What am I supposed to do? I'm so confused is my money just gone.

Update: Please can people stop calling me stupid, I thought I was buying bitcoin. Im not a trader, I have zero experience.

Someone who has a real advice on how to retrieve my money or trade it would be appreciated.

Coinbase doesn't allow withdrawals of crypto anymore

Coinbase has banned me from sending crypto to my OKX wallet and even my ledger. They mentioned its due to compliance and flag me for scam and they placed a hold on my account even after doing everything right and informing them of where my funds are going to. Support is trace, just a bunch of Ai without a proper solution.

4 months ago this wasn't the case, i could easily fund my account with 45k and send to my wallet easily, I have new kraken account. and new Gemini where i easily wired 100km and tried to withdraw, but it also blocks external transfer for new accounts. cause after a month of account lock, i was placed on max 5k weekly. has anyone been experiencing same issues recently??

how then are u able to get your crypto into your ledger or self-custody wallet without using CEX for large transfers?

That feeling when you send crypto and it hasn’t shown up yet

I hate that few minutes after sending crypto when the transaction says completed on one side but the balance on the other wallet hasn’t changed yet.

You know you entered everything correctly, but you still start opening both apps, refreshing, checking the transaction hash, wondering if you picked the right network.

Then it finally shows up and you realize you’ve been stressing over it for 10 minutes for no reason 😂

Does anyone else still do this, or am I just impatient?

Urgent Complaint: Pending Withdrawal and Delayed Refund

Dear Coinbase Support,

I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding my pending withdrawal.

Your website initiated a withdrawal to my Visa card, which does not support receiving these funds. I contacted your support team immediately and explained the situation, requesting that the transaction be cancelled. I was told that the cancellation would be completed within 24 hours.

However, it has now been 4 days, and my money is still pending. I have contacted support every day, but I keep receiving the same response: to wait another 24–48 hours for an email.

I am extremely frustrated with this situation. Your support team explicitly told me that the transaction would be cancelled within 24 hours, so I do not understand why I am still waiting four days later without a proper resolution.

I expect Coinbase to take immediate action to cancel the withdrawal and return my funds to my Coinbase account. Please stop giving me repeated waiting times and provide me with a clear explanation of what is happening, along with a definite resolution.

I have been patient and have followed your instructions, but this delay is unacceptable. Please escalate my case to the appropriate team and resolve this issue as soon as possible.

I look forward to your urgent response.

Kind regards,

Have you ever had a crypto withdrawal stuck when you needed it most?

Few things are more stressful than sending crypto and watching it sit in limbo, especially when withdrawals are delayed or suddenly unavailable. Whether it’s a pending transaction, a frustrating delay, or trouble accessing your funds, these situations can quickly shake your confidence in an exchange. Have you experienced something similar on Coinbase? How long did it take to resolve, and what advice would you give someone dealing with a stuck withdrawal?

r/Coinbase is the official Coinbase subreddit: a place for investors and the crypto-curious to talk shop, explore our products, and compare notes.

What we talk about here:

  • Coinbase products and features, including what's new and what's coming
  • Market and industry discussion, from Bitcoin to onchain apps
  • Questions about how things work, from Coinbase One to our latest earnings report
  • Feedback on what we're building - we read it and it can shape our roadmap

How this subreddit runs:

  • We pin a support thread every Tuesday. Account-specific questions go there or to u/coinbasesupport, because we can't look into an account from a public thread
  • Product and company news comes from u/coinbase and u/coinbasesupport, our two official accounts
  • Service status, including outages and degraded performance: status.coinbase.com
  • Longer-form announcements and explainers live on blog.coinbase.com

Getting help with your account:

  • US and Canada: +1 (888) 908-7930, toll-free, 24/7
  • Outside the US and Canada: the Help Center lists the official number and hours for each region
  • On Reddit: message u/coinbasesupport - please don't post your email, transaction IDs, or account details publicly
  • Message support or start a chat any time from help.coinbase.com

What Coinbase will never ask you for:

  • Your password, seed phrase, or 2FA code
  • Remote access to your computer or phone
  • A transfer of funds to a "safe wallet" to protect them
  • Payment to release an account or a withdrawal

If someone contacts you claiming to be Coinbase:

Don't engage. Screenshot it, report it to Reddit, and reach us through the channels above. If you've already shared information or sent funds, call the number above or contact support through the Help Center right away.
