Also, Boo Radley's, Petunia and Loomis, and Atticus are amazing, and tourists should stop by each store.

Vote against I-638.

If you're able to do the day trip today or tomorrow, I'd highly recommend it. Snow is scheduled starting mid week and that'll probably be the end of it. Love our regional golden forest so, so much.

Question Looking for firewood

• Upvotes

I’m sure people Facebook marketplace have it but I’m not on FB so here I am.

Looking for 1/4-1/2 cord of split, dry and tamarack to be delivered and pricing. Anyone have leads? I also have a small truck so I can pick up too, but I’ve never had a house with a fireplace and I’m not sure how many trips it would take.

Thanks

Question Roommate breaking lease, confusing feedback on repercussions

Heyo! I rent a house with two other people and one just had a windfall of cash and is buying property and ducking out early.

They're claiming that we shouldn't report to the landlords that they're doing this because it would affect my renter's history, not just their own and make it harder for me to find new places.

Is this true or would their breaking the lease (and me and the remaining roommate continuing to pay the full rent) only affect their own record?

Thank you in advance for any advice!

News Spokane man missing - anyone seen anything?

Cooper has been missing for a week (link) and it's been about another week since I heard from him personally. If anyone has heard anything please do contact the police - this is really out of character for him. I didn't know him in person but we spoke often about a shared interest and this has been hard to hear about. He was active on reddit itself, but not in this subreddit afaik, but there's a chance that anyone who also plays OSRS may recognise him in particular.

So... I have seen nothing but Baumgartner ads online this week. I know he has a lot more money than she does but wondering if it's just me?

Question Why don't the pigeons here walk on the ground?

There are plenty of pigeons roosting up in rooftops downtown and in some of the overpasses. There's also plenty of motherfuckin bread crumbs out on the street.

In any other city the pigeons hang out on the pavement just chilling, waiting for the next dropped cheezit. Ours stay up in the sky. What gives?

Question I'm Looking for Accounting Firms That Are Generally LGBTQ+ Friendly to Work For. Any Recommendations?

Hey Everyone,

The title says most of it, but I figure I'll add in a few more details. I'm a student in a master's program and looking for jobs in the field. I know there is so much bad about the job market right now; I'm trying not to focus on that part. I'm starting to seriously apply as I get closer to the end of my program, but I'm not desperate yet. I'm open to basically anything (Besides auditing, while tax is preferred) where I can get CPA hours signed off. Even if they aren't currently hiring, knowing places to keep an eye on would be helpful.

The LGBTQ+ part is basically just simple respect for gender neutral pronouns and not being discriminated against. I don't even really care about gendered language being used in groups. Literally, just at/about me is all I'm asking for. I don't think I could handle going back into the closet/being referred to by gendered pronouns all the time, unless I just ABSOLUTELY had to. I know a lot of big corporations will claim inclusivity, but in practice it can be a bit more office by office.

Also, if there are ones you'd recommend against for the same reasons, I'd welcome that info too. Preferably if it was through some sort of experience with the office.

Please feel free to DM me if that's better. I understand public posts about employment can feel iffy. Thanks!

My boss found this near his apartment downtown near Barrister Winery and didn't know what to do with it. Feels like a shame to throw it in the dumpster when somebody went to all this trouble to preserve it. Does anyone know where I could take it that it might be found? Or where someone might want to take it?

Question Car suspension- Strut assembly shop

I've got a big van with new coils and front struts, but these things are huge, I do not trust the auto parts store spring compressor for something this big.

Anybody know an auto shop that would charge a reasonable fee to use their spring compressor and just assemble the strut for me? I'll do the installation myself, just need someone to assemble the strut.

Thanks!

ToDo Book Club

I'm considering starting a book club. Although I haven't worked out all the details, I thought I'd share some information here and see if there's any interest.

I'd like the first book to be The Mother of All Questions by Rebecca Solnit. The next book choices could be rotated to different club members. I'm hoping to find space for us to meet at one of the Spokane libraries. We could discuss other meeting places once we start. I'd like to meet at least once a month for an hour or so. Of course, all of this is up for discussion and will be decided collaboratively.

I'll be honest--I've never done anything like this, so I'm open to suggestions. I'd really love to meet with others and have some lively conversations on relevant, progressive, and even controversial topics.

If you're interested, let me know.

ToDo Truck work....

I'm really looking for a shop in the Valley that can help me with a 1993 mighty max. I really just want it to be reliable. Maybe a little extra to make some more power but it definitely needs an engine rebuild. I 100% need a flywheel and maybe a transmission rebuild or engine replaced and transmission replaced if it is in the budget. Theres some funky wiring from the previous owner that somewhere keeps killing the battery and alternator. Its a project truck that I want running smooth. Emotional value to it thats why I'll invest into it. If possible I would love to throw a turbo in however it needs to be done. Nothing super crazy just want it to be a fun little 2 door project that once it runs reliably then I can start working on cosmetics. Any help narrowing down a shop that would take a real project on would be amazing.

Thank you for any info my friends.
