When a simple idea somehow grew into a sprawling story, the characters started feeling like real people, and you found yourself thinking about the next scene long after you’d logged off?

Yeah. I’m chasing that feeling.

I’m a male writer in my late-thirties who is looking for a like-minded writing partner who wants to build something memorable together. Give me compelling characters, messy relationships, fascinating worlds, unexpected twists, and moments that make a story feel alive. I want plots that keep us guessing, characters we get attached to, and replies that leave us excited to see what happens next.

A Little About My Writing Style

I write exclusively in the third-person, past tense and consider myself an advanced literate writer. My replies typically consist of three or more substantial paragraphs, with room for character development and detail.

That said, I'm not interested in writing a novel just for the sake of writing a novel. I value substance over word count, and while I love immersing myself in a scene, moving the story forward and giving my partner something to work with are always the priority.

The Stories I Want to Tell

Slice of Life will always have a special place in my heart.

There's something uniquely compelling about stories that center on ordinary people living complicated lives. The relationships we build, the mistakes we make, the things we leave unsaid, and the moments that change everything can be just as gripping as any world-ending threat or epic quest.

Sometimes, all you need is a chance encounter, an unexpected reunion, a friendship that slowly becomes something more, or two people who can't seem to get out of their own way.

A few of my favorite tropes include:

• Second Chances: Two people get another opportunity to explore a connection that fell apart the first time. Maybe they've changed. Maybe they haven't. Either way, there's unfinished business.
• Star-Crossed Romance: Two people are drawn to each other despite the expectations, circumstances, or loyalties that threaten to keep them apart.
• Opposites Attract: Two people from completely different backgrounds or walks of life discover that their differences might be exactly what they need.

I'm also very open to Low Fantasy and Science Fiction!

What I'm Looking for in a Partner

More than anything, I'm looking for a writing partner, not just someone to trade paragraphs with.

I'd love to find someone who gets invested in our characters and wants to collaborate on a story that belongs to both of us. Someone who occasionally sends a message just to gush about a scene, pitch a wild idea, or say, "Okay, hear me out..."

I love having a general direction for a story, but I'm equally fond of the unexpected turns that happen when two writers build on each other's ideas. The best roleplays are the ones where we're both invested enough to be surprised by our own story.

Communication, enthusiasm, and a willingness to collaborate go a long way with me. You don't have to be available every waking moment or produce a novel with every reply. But I’d love to find someone who enjoys the process as much as I do.

I'm on the U.S. East Coast (Eastern Time) and am primarily available during the daytime on weekdays. Evenings and weekends can be a bit hit or miss, so if you're looking for someone who can reliably write throughout the night or spend entire weekends roleplaying, I may not be the best fit.

Hey! I’m 24F looking for someone 20+ to rp with, and hopefully is a bit of a night owl! I’m a night shifter so I like to rp late into the night if possible, and I’m in central time zone but I don’t care what time zone you are if you think we’ll be a good match!

Hey hey hey! To give a bit of an introduction I’m a 27F been roleplaying for nearly 12+ years now and have played every character under the sun. All the personalities you can think of, and in between. I’ve also played pretty much every possible genre with my least played being post—apocalypse. I write to match but prefer at least 1 paragraph to 2 to really get actions and details in there. I’d prefer to write in third person as seeing the characters name really ties it into a book for us to look back into. Now for the meat and potatoes:

I’m looking to write a fantasy story between two characters or more of course depends how we do together. The premise is this, an angel suffers a fall from grace after failing to properly execute a hunt on another angel. They’ve always been perfect in laying down the law of the tenants but upon seeing the atrocities of man she lost her will to block emotions and intentionally hurt the angel as well as the humans protecting them. This of course leads to her breaking the rules and thus began her transformation to a fallen angel. Her halo shattered and burnt, her once pure white wings burning slowly and painfully until they are going to be naught but bone. Knowing how to run and where to run this now fallen angel found her way into the world of man becoming part of a corrupt military or even ruling a nation who knows!?!

Basically I want to write the villain who’s mind is broken from constant agony, though parts of her righteous and caring side come out time to time. Easy setup for enemies to lovers if that’s your thing. Come be the thing that makes her whole again!

Or we can play it where she hides until a great catastrophe and takes advantage of the situation protecting humans she deems worthy and slaughtering the rest. Can become a modern-day sort of apocalypse. Again entirely up to us ^-^ as long as this post is up I’m searching for a partner so always reach out see you in dms.

Hey there! I'm S, male, 27 from the UK and today I'm looking to play out a character driven, eventually romantic RP set in the Star Wars universe during the age of the Empire, with myself as a TIE pilot in 'Umbra Squadron', essentially an Imperial wet work team, dealing covertly in matters even the Empire would consider a bad look.

My character is Shatta Shahn, a Correlian human who rose through the ranks as a skilled pilot and who distinguished himself by his stunning lack of a conscience, or so he'd have people believe. Nicknamed 'The Spider' for a set of robotic arms mounted to his chest plate and signature flight goggles that hang above his head like an extra set of eyes, he now embarks for his next flight; a hit and run attack on a rebel base located on Hoth.

So who are you? My Admiral? A fellow member of Umbra? An aristocratic backer of the Empire here on a tour to make sure your money is being put to good use? Maybe you're a bounty hunter on retainer as an honorary member of Umbra? Maybe even an X-Wing pilot and arch enemy?

Hey! I was looking for a roleplay which was mainly slice of life and romance mixed in with elements from the fantasy genre!

I would absolutely love to have a story where there we can have a cutesy roleplay in a world where we can explore the many opportunities for world building and character writing that a fantasy world has to offer.

I don’t quite have very many ideas, but I have a couple of things I’d like in the rp + a basic plot idea.

Firstly, I am very leant towards LGBTQ+ ships! I’m not against straight ships, but I just find that LGBTQ+ ships are much more enjoyable, so I’ll be more inclined to do MxM or FxF, or something involving any gender identities and orientations (trans friendly :>).

secondly, I usually prefer a minimum of one paragraph per response (occasional responses where it’s less is alright, I totally understand that life can be stressful and doing less is totally fine on occasion as long as I have something to work with).

And finally, I am quite flexible to write with, so any breaks/hiatuses are perfectly fine as long as I have notice so I’m not thinking that I am being ghosted!

Now onto my plot idea:

My idea is that there is a renowned college that has one of the greatest educational programs out there for anyone of any species. It isn’t quite known by the general public and is quite exclusive to some of the most known families and clans, so only the top students are accepted into it. Our ocs can meet through that, and slowly become friends, then lovers. For tropes, I’ve been CRAVING a scholar (MC) x bully (YC) or even a scholar (MC) x rebel/delinquent (YC), but I’m open to any ideas that you have!

Don’t be afraid to share any plot ideas that you have! Nothing is set in stone, I just wanted a plot set in a world that is like earth but has a lot of fantasy elements too. I do have a preference for monster-y/non-human characters, but again it isn’t a need or anything. I am also open to different dynamics, settings, etc!

Hey! I was looking to do a roleplay consisting of fantasy elements in a modern setting! This roleplay is mostly set to be a slice of life and romance based roleplay with many different opportunities for action and drama, as well as a great amount of free room to add world building as we progress the story. I usually make a bit of a guideline for the sort of world building I like, and then allow us to add as many countries, islands, species as we want. I love making little events/traditions for our ocs to take part in, and just to make the world feel more alive outside our main characters/settings.

A bit about me, I am 20 and do not roleplay with minors so please do not contact me if you are under 18. I usually write anywhere between 1-3 paragraphs on average but can go a lot higher to about 8 paragraphs if I am feeling particularly inspired or have a lot to go off of. I am mostly interested in LGBTQ+ couple dynamics, though a dynamic I have been really wanting to try is a feminine man paired with a masculine woman. I am good with writing multiple characters and love to make our ocs have different friends together so it’s not a rut of the same two characters interacting constantly.

The idea I have is of our characters being of different backgrounds and clashing heads at first, maybe dealing with themes of classism or rivalries between each other’s families that prevents them from being together, so they can fall for each other despite their differences and what others think. I like the thought of them being at a college where they have to see each other, so they have more opportunity to learn more about each other and grow past any prejudice. I also had an idea that I liked of your oc having a young child from a past relationship that they have to take care of, which my oc can help take care of them and become their step parent (though it’s only a sweet idea, not required whatsoever).

As the title suggests I’m looking for a new long-term RP partner to dive into an exciting story with!

A little about me: I’m 27, so I’m looking for someone 18+ to RP with. I’m based in the GMT - 3 time zone. I've been role-playing for a couple of years. I tend to write 3 - 5 paragraphs at least could be more, although i don’t have any hard rules on length, just not one liners.

new to roleplaying, idk if what I did with my friends would be roleplay but I'm new to this and am looking for someone for roleplay.

I'm currently in college and am looking for someone who can do these following rps:

1. after I go to the rooftop to gaze at the stars and continue writing my light novel ahead, i find someone coming into the rooftop and finding me sitting with a cup of coffee. we don't talk at first but as time passes, we slowly start talking together. after talking for a while, we realise we both are insomniacs and are here to spend our time by some means possible. for her, (I'm leaving it to the person who wanna rp) and for me I'm trying to complete my light novel. and we make a deal to share one truth every night we meet to just share our lives and become good friends.

(I'm also thinking of trying to find the reason for the insomnia and later reveal we are stuck in a time loop. ain't telling the complete story here but well that's one idea)

1. as I've recently started my post grad, we can rp as college friends who slowly start to make our dreams come true of whether it be getting accepted for a club performance or a outing for which you need some confidence and good communication skills to be there and make new friends.

2. Enemies in a timeloop. we are two college rivals or any workplace rivals and one day, we discover that we are experiencing the same thing almost every day. we slowly realise and talk to each other that we are reliving the same day over and over again. what must be causing this? is what we are trying to find out..

3. I am a bodyguard of a rich businessman's daughter. and I'm trying to go through our daily banters and situations that she gets into or i get into. eventually, we become good friends too.

4. we are regular at a cafe and we slowly start to notice we are regulars and then continue the story ahead. I'm not sure what goes ahead.
