Been lurking here since I started my journey. I was going to wait until I hit 1 year to post, but I couldn't wait to share! It's been 312 days since I started dieting and 232 days since I started going to the gym. I initially cut down to 155lbs, but I am working on gaining lean mass. now.

Been pushing hard for the last couple of months and I’m really enjoying seeing the progress I’ve made so far. I am still aiming to lose another 5 kg, about 10 lbs in about another 1.5 months. But I still feel good about the current progression. After that I will begin my lean gains period. I’ve lost about 20 kgs / 40 lbs since last year.

I've been walking and doing 5Ks while trying to stay in a calorie deficit. I feel like I lost the weight first in my chest and face.

The focus of my year has been getting to know a new version of me, both physically and mentally, and I couldn’t be happier with life right now. I spent the first part of the year recovering from loose skin removal and being able to see the version of me without excess skin has truly made me feel like me for the first time in about a decade. Recovery is hard and it proved to me yet again that I can do hard things (losing 132lbs is no easy feat either).

So, I plan to keep doing hard things, whatever that may be.

Caught a glimpse at myself standing sideways in the mirror at the gym and had to do a double take. Still have about another 40-50 to go but still in disbelief at how far I’ve come.

*editing to add - last time I posted here I got a lot of DM’s. I won’t be responding to any DM’s. If you have comments or questions, please feel free to post them here and I’m happy to respond.

Totally forgot about this account but just remembered that I posted this a week over 3 years ago. Someone said it looked like a kid in the previous comment section (😭) but I'm so glad that my hands don't look like a 8 y/o's anymore! The growth wasn't always consistent too, but it's still crazy to look back at my old photos and see how much can change in just a few years :)
