Hello!
Welcome to r/peace. The purpose of our subreddit is to discuss ways of encouraging peace. This ranges from the large-scale ambition of world peace, to the individual ambition of putting oneself at peace. After all, the latter will contribute to the former.
Please read all rules before posting or commenting in our community. After that, we're glad to have you here!

Hello! I'm new here, my friend and I made an infographic about the importance of peace in our school, and I thought it would be a good fit for this community, so I'm sharing it here! Could you guys help us reach 500 upvotes? :D Our professor required us to post our infographic on any platform to reach a wider audience, raise awareness, and spread peace. Your support would mean a lot to my friend and me, and hopefully, our infographic will also help inspire others to promote peace with their friends and family. Thank you so much for your support~ :3

I think almost if not everyone in Gen Z could care less what race you are let alone what gender you go by. The world is run by old people who don’t know anything about today nobody cares who is illegal and who isn’t as long as you don’t cause problems you are fine the world should just come together as one we are all humans like? Once we do that we will achieve world peace

No matter what country or region they come from, ordinary people long for peace. Yet so many people hide behind the banner of justice while hurting the very people who genuinely wish for peace.

I feel like the world is hellbent on unraveling itself, people attack each other communities are hellbent on fighting each other and not some petty disputes but straight up killing each other...when did life lose its value, when did instead of arguing and calling someone out for their different opinions became personal attacks...death threats...rape threats...mob threats... people being doxed...why are we all hellbent on killing each other... maybe I am too soft but I was tough that killing is the ultimate act against nature...it rips your soal(i know it is from hp)...why...is it really that hard to...be good.

For those who have not seen Avatar: the Last Airbender, the Order of the White Lotus was a secret organization that spanned both sides of the war and included member from all four bending disciplines and non-benders alike. Their overall goal was to promote philosophy, beauty, truth, and the preservation of ancient wisdom.
Do you think such an organization either can or does exist in the world today? How or why?

50 years ago the Continental Walk for Disarmament and Social Justice arrived in Washington DC.
I remember walking around the White House that now is behind higher fencing as Trump builds his ball room as his own memorial. It seems like my side lost, but I still believe that Martin was right, the arc of history is moving toward Justice. We shall yet overcome.

I believe a more peaceful world begins with the choices we make today. I wrote this open letter as a call for peace, unity, and a better future for generations to come. If these values matter to you, I'd appreciate you taking a moment to read it: https://openletter.earth/an-appeal-to-humanity-d4bbd8c3
If this speaks to you, sharing would mean a lot.
Peace.

Life in Gaza Is More Than Just Surviving 💔
I’m from Gaza, Palestine. After years of war, we are exhausted. We struggle to find food, shelter, safety, and hope for tomorrow. We have lost so much, yet we keep trying to survive.
We are not just numbers in the news. We are human beings with families, dreams, and broken hearts.
Please don’t forget Gaza. The world needs to hear our stories. 🇵🇸
