Hello, I am a foreign student from India at the university of Oregon. I am wondering why the ducks do not kindly score more points than the other team during football games? It seems like the team that scores more points typically wins the game, so why are the ducks scoring less points?
I also noticed the little number that shows up in front of the teams name on the scoreboard ticker is gone. What does that mean? I believe it was 2 at the start of the season and now it is gone.

Beavs are now 8-3-4 overall, this was not a conference game, but we are 3-1-1 in the Pac-12.
Oregon State and Cal Baptist are currently tied at the top of the conference standings. We have one conference game remaining against Gonzaga (winless in conference play). All we need to do for a Pac-12 title is to win that game, since we defeated Cal Baptist earlier this season, we have the head to head tiebreaker and it doesn't matter if they win or lose their final game. That game will be on Halloween, in Corvallis too. Before that, we have another Pac-12/Big West crossover game this weekend, against Utah Valley. UVU is receiving votes in the most recent poll, so that will be a good addition to our NCAA tournament resume.
Regardless of the outcome of these games, we are safely in the Pac-12 tournament. We do not need the tournament winner's auto-bid to make the NCAA tournament, but winning it could help us get a seed to host some tournament games in Corvallis again.
The NCAA selection committee released their Top 16 teams last week, we came in at #13.

Having a big head (size 7 7/8 - 8)...one size fits all...well..don't fit me...so looking for a. brick and mortar store in the Portland area where I can find a fitted OSU hat in my size...curved brim rather than flat.....I know I can find some online but as it is fitted and sizes vary by mfg...I want to try on first...Any tips where I can do my shopping is appreciated

I looked up a couple of them just out of curiosity.
Tristan Ti'a has two completions at Auburn.
Trent Walker has 350 yards at Houston.
Too bad Trent didn't stay. Shep would have turned him into a hot NFL property.
How about the other 35 of them? Are any of them having a breakout year? We owe them thanks for emptying out their lockers in Corvallis to make room for the new team.
Gabarri is having a fair year at 1-6 FCS Samford as their starter. Go Bulldogs! Beat Mercer!

In a staff poll for The Athletic, Legree was ranked 2nd for Heisman, only trailing Jeremiah Smith.

Legree has been the best freshman and college football’s biggest surprise.
Oregon State’s receiver has 46 catches for 1,040 yards and 14 touchdowns in seven games. He’s averaging 22.6 yards per reception and 148.6 per game. Four of his scrimmage plays have covered at least 70 yards. Nine have gone for 40 or more.
Miami running back Javian Mallory and LSU defensive tackle Deuce Geralds deserve recognition, but Legree belongs in the discussion as best overall player in the nation. Best freshman might be underselling what he’s doing.

I'm definitely hoping we win out from here. But if for some reason we don't, but we're still a top dog, can we start lobbying the bowls to give us a civil war?

Also, can’t remember the last time I saw both the Beavers and the Ducks in the “Others Receiving Votes” section of the AP poll. What a time to be a Beaver fan!
