Nieuw Amsterdam
Don't know much about this but it was in a pile of maps and papers that I have.

This particular map focuses on the island of Hispaniola, in the Caribbean. It illustrates the historical division between the French colonial portion in the west and the Spanish colonial portion in the east.
Haiti, located on the western side of the island, had declared its independence from France in 1804. The Dominican Republic, on the eastern side, had done the same in 1821, but in 1822 it was invaded by the Haitian army. This shift is not accurately reflected on the map; however, by 1823, the entire island was de facto under Haitian rule.
