I had an experience in which I felt that I was able to leave my physical body and see the spirit who guides our house. The setting was exactly the same as in the physical world. It felt as though I was awake but before this I was trying to follow a light that came from my forehead.

The first thing that happened was that my wife came to me and I became awake. I wondered why the door to our room was open, so I went outside and saw an old man doing laundry in our toilet. I was shocked, so I grabbed him and brought him toward our room, asking my wife, “Who is this person?”

However, my wife did not respond despite of calling her many times. That was when I realized that I was in the spirit world. After that, I told myself to return to the physical world because it scares the hell out of me.

I would like to understand this experience better. Was it astral traveling or mediumship? I’m confused about the difference between the two.

Wanna add as well that my wife was able to do this as well by talking to her father in her dream. She is also seeing my spirit before talking to his father.

For context, when I was in my early 20s I had an experience in which I died. I came did, clearly, come back. I was curious if there is a way that a part of myself could have stayed in the next realm?

Something has been trying to get my attention recently. A lot of energy that is very attached to my emotions (i.e. when I've been extremely distressed the faucet has turned on full blast for 3 seconds and turned off). There are other examples as well. I've been hearing a detached voice calling my name for two weeks, just after the first activity began, but it has had no discernable gender. Whatever/whoever it is is strong enough that my sensitive coworker also hears the voice but we can't understand what is being said.

I thought it maybe a particular past friend, or another entity I have known. I asked for signs of confirmation and never received them, and finally asked for signs to confirm it was *not* them, those I did receive.

Over the weekend I heard a voice that was very familiar but I could quite place how it was. It was clearly female. I don't know if maybe there's a chance it's me somehow. And if not, how can I open safe channels for communication?

when i was a baby/child i used to warn my parents of a lot of stuff, mostly stuff that was happening at the moment like our car was getting towed, there was something that was about to happen and we needed to get out, when my grandfather had an accident and such, this stopped happening when i was like 8? when i had a gut feeling to say the name of my cousin wich was drowning at that same moment and ive never had those things again, at least that obvious. but about mediumness, when i was 2 years old and my grandfather passed away (i didnt know because my parents wanted to tell me when i was older and my mom wasnt crying or anything at all, she wanted to stay calm) we were on the highway at high velocity and in some corn fields i started laughing and told my mom that my grandfather was saying goodbye and going to heaven (he was like in the sky or something, i was pointing at the car window) and my parents freaked out and told me "what is he saying" and i just said "hes saying goodbye" and i was laughing. I dont remember this, this is my parents testimony and well i guess they wouldnt lie about this- being the passing of my mother's dad and yeah.. i'm curious to recover it, whats a path to take?

I’ve always been curious about this, especially when it comes to mediums or people who are very intuitive and experienced with reading tarot cards.

I know a woman who reads cards, and from what I’ve personally witnessed, she’s been incredibly accurate with her readings. She had a daughter who was very ill and awaiting an organ donation, but unfortunately, her daughter passed away before she could receive one.

This made me wonder: If someone has a strong intuitive or spiritual gift, are they able to sense when someone is going to pass away, especially when it’s someone they’re extremely close to?

For example, could this woman have sensed that her daughter wasn’t going to make it? Or is it possible that her emotional attachment and hope that God would intervene made it difficult for her to see or accept that possibility?
I’m also curious whether this applies to people outside of your immediate family. Can you sense a person’s passing if they’re a friend, acquaintance, or even someone you’re doing a reading for?

I know this is a sensitive topic, and I’m not questioning this woman’s abilities or suggesting she should have known or done anything differently. I’m genuinely curious about how mediums and tarot readers experience intuition when it comes to death, particularly when their own loved ones are involved.

I’ve always felt very in tune with spirits and that kind of side of things but just never really explored it that much in depth.

When I was little I always felt like my great grandma once she passed was checking in on me and hanging out. I didn’t know her that well so it didn’t feel as impactful and I was pretty young so it’s hard to decipher between kids imagination and what’s real.

But recently my papa passed away. It’s been really hard on me and we just had his funeral that i really struggled with. It brought up a lot of emotions. I’ve always been kind of an outsider in my family and feel even more so ever since my papa passed. I just feel lonely and a huge missing piece that he filled when I’m around them. Thats something I’ve expressed to my mother and just a feeling that’s really been prominent in my mind when I’m with them recently.

Well last night I had a dream that’s just about shook me to my core in a good and bad way.

I had a dream that I was at some kind of family event. Everyone was in their groups talking and chatting as they do, and I was off on my own feeling a little awkward and lonely. Suddenly my papa walks up behind me, stands next to me and puts his arm around my shoulder and gave me one of his big warm smiles that I’ve missed so much. We stood there in silence just watching everyone, me hugging him and his with his arm around my shoulder.

I felt his hug. I felt his arm around me. I felt his warmth and presence. Even though we didn’t talk I know this was his way of telling me I’m never alone and he’s always with me and that he’s okay. It was so beautiful and it’s a feeling I can’t even explain. But I also woke up and feel like I had the worst dose of reality in realizing I can’t hug or feel him anymore and that he’s really gone. I just wanted more time with him.

Since this morning I’ve been reading up about visitation dreams and I just want more info and to learn more about it. Right now it just feels like a way of keeping in touch with him almost. But has anyone had similar experiences? If so how do you feel you could differentiate between just a dream and a visitation dreams? Does anyone have any good book,article, etc recs where I can learn more? Not looking for a reading or anything specifically just looking for where I can learn more about this or if others have had similar experiences

Do you ever receive messages for someone you know, just for it to actually be a message for someone in that person’s life you don’t know?

This just happened to me this morning. I had a message for a friend regarding a person with a specific name in her life, but turns out that named person was her best friend’s man. In the dream it was a man with a unique name, and he was a married man and my friend was the other woman.

Turns out her best friend is dating a man with that name, and he is married.

I feel compelled to help people and am currently in school to become a social services worker. I’ve always thought I had a “6th sense” but I feel blocked and have no idea where to start to tap into anything. I quite often gaslight myself into thinking I am making it all up. Any advice?

I posted a bit ago saying I don't like being a medium and I'm starting to wonder if I should start learning how to use it instead of hating it. I see a lot of people talking about spirit guides. Do you have to actively seek them out or do most people get them naturally? And if I need to find one, how would I go about it?

I am hoping to get some help from fellow mediums in this space. I have been psychic for most my adult life, but only in the last couple of years taken it really seriously and made considered effort to hone it. In the past year I’ve made quite the leaps and bounds, and finally started experiencing what I can only describe as spirit taking over my body. Only if I let it of course, which i do as I’m finding it is helping me to understand my capabilities more. However I have zero support with this around me, I don’t know who to go to, to ask questions or work on it properly with other mediums who are further along their journey than I am!

I have all the bodily movements, I have face changes and voice changes etc, it’s not just channelling but I am also in a light state for the most part, I can recall some things but other things I won’t be able to repeat i have to record it. I am aware of my own mind but stepped back enough I can let spirit do its work. What is this? Is it trance? Is it transfiguration or other?

I did have another medium recently who didn’t know I was trance just randomly ask me if I knew I was a transfiguration medium because she could see a little girls face in my face the entire time she was with me…

Hi, I don't know if I should submit this here, but I've seen a few posts related to those having premonition dreams or heavy déjà vu. It started when I was younger, seeing visions of people who I met later in life, jobs, political results. I noticed that when I'm heavily focused on something, a dream later reveals an answer or a déjà vu that feels like a roadblock in my head and makes me stop what I'm doing no matter where in my head. Does anyone else have this?

I have a sister who is a devout Christian and I wanted to share with her that I am a medium. She started talking about the devil this morning. 🤣🤣 So then I thought, ah NO that's not a good idea.

It's kind of sad that our beliefs have to be so polarizing. But, I'd rather spend time with her as my sister because I only see her once or twice a year. Do you all experience the same thing?

My first dream was of a relative I never met, who had passed. Since then I've had dreams of deceased family members from before I was born, what felt like past lives, and one that I think involved an interdimensional being. I also feel like I have a subconscious dream world of my own. I've also had a few other moments, including hearing what I believe were cherubs shortly before a man became possessed.

The past 10 years, and especially recently, have been very hard. I feel like the stress has drained me of my dreams, and I don't have them the way I used to.

I've always been drawn to mediumship, but I don't know whether I'm truly gifted or not. I want to find out and learn how to develop it, but I don't have any direction.

Hi this is my first post on here. First I want to start out by saying I’m not a medium but I do have some level of abilities, I’m currently starting out my journey as a witch but I’m pretty new to everything at the moment.

I’ve noticed that when I do protection work I often see presences or spirits around me in my minds eye. For my protection work I usually do it when I’m feeling on edge before bed. I’ll meditate for five minutes or so then close my eyes and visualise a golden circle encapsulating my bedroom and speak intentions into a wishing coin I have. I’ve noticed whenever I do the visualisation step and imagine my bedroom within a golden sphere I tend to see spirits in my room in my minds eye. Usually it’s a different spirit each separate occasion and I initially assumed it was just intrusive thoughts or my imagination. But after an incident where me and another friend with abilities saw the same spirit in the same part of the room when we did joint protection work, and another incident where a family member dreamt of an entity I had seen that night hanging around my bedroom I began thinking I might actually be seeing spirits and entities through my minds eye? Has anyone else ever experienced this?

My follow up question would be I never tend to see the same spirit more than once, each night it’s a different spirit or entity. Usually it’s only one in my room and usually they seem neutral. It seems like if they truly are spirits I’m seeing many spirits pass through my house/bedroom frequently, is that normal? I do live near a graveyard if that’s relevant.

It’s been getting increasingly thinner over the last couple of weeks and right now it’s crazy just how much activity I’m picking up. Multiple times a day. I know it usually is this time of year, but I can’t help but notice that this year it’s a lot more active than usual. Anyone else notice this?

I'm pretty sure I can see spirits but I'm not exactly sure if I supposed to do something with that or not. I don't particularly remember it when I was younger. For most of my adult life, whenever I close my eyes especially around bed time but sometimes more vividly when I wake up I see them. Sometime they're different, sometimes there's an old lady I see in a rocking chair a lot. Sometimes it seems like they're trying to get my attention but I can't hear them only see them. I used to just think it was something that happened to everyone but now I don't think that.

What really got me searching was while running the other day in near my home in new Orleans I had the random thought about a vehicle driving off of the bridge I was running under and I just wondered if it had ever happened before. The next day a semi truck fell off the bridge at almost exactly the place I had that thought at. Maybe this is just some large coincidence but it's not the first time one of my thoughts later became reality.

I say all this to say that I'm just looking for some advice from others that have had similar experiences on what I should be doing. It feels very much like a gift and I don't want to waste that.

I’ve been reading some interesting articles on those with mediumship abilities. I was reading a case study of a young lady who thought she could sense spirits and at times, see and hear them. Psychiatry diagnosed her with psychosis, possible schizoeffective disorder, but she underwent an EEG and their findings were shocking. She had right temporal lobe epilepsy causing her to see/hear “ghosts”. With anti seizure meds, her abilities ceased. Has anyone looked into a medical basis for their abilities? Not that I wouldn’t believe, because I do, but anything is possible I guess.

I used to have spiritual experiences when I was younger and was a bit more in tune with it. Haven’t had anything really for many years, decided to meditate last night, and have been feeling a male maybe my grandfather (who I’ve never met) wanted to contact me. In my head I asked for his name, he has a very rare name ‘Roman’ which I have heard a couple times before in my life. But had completely forgotten his name, after I asked in my head what his name was I had a shiver down my back. It took a while to get an answer, I was eventually getting “Ronan” but I thought that was strange name and just pushed it off. And then clearly I heard “Roman”. Then I was thinking about an aunty who I’ve also never met who lives in another country. And I forgot her name to, and her name came to me. I then thought maybe she has passed?? She’s in her late 70s. And has no contact with me or my parents, who are my only close relatives. The message regarding my grandfathers name and the shiver was very clear. But I wasn’t sure why I was thinking about my aunty (my grandfathers daughter, sisters mum). I also got the letters S and A. Anyway, does this mean I’m clairaudient? I’m not sure. Any thoughts or tips to work on this would be appreciated

This has happened before, but only in this house. It is not dreaming. when I wake I feel the sensation in the ear that was yelled in like somebody physically hollered. Last night it happened again. A man yelled “WHEW” super loud. Don’t know why he felt it necessary to wake me…I’ve heard other things in this house. My friends voice when she wasn’t here. She’s heard mine as well when I was at work. I’ve heard footsteps coming up the stairs, people walking on the porch and always feel a lurking presence. I woke today and told him not to do that. That it was completely unnecessary and if he is THAT bored to go home. I explained we all have people on the other side that if we just ask for help to be guided we can go there. This isn’t my first time renting a haunted home. I live in a small historic area, so many of our homes are very old with tons of history attached.

Anyway.

What is this? I know when people are in a state of sleep they can hear ghosts more clearly, but it’s getting more frequent as I reach my mid thirties. I have always had this thing where when I’m sleeping it doesn’t feel like I’m in my body. it’s like I’m floating inside my aura if that makes sense. I can’t think of what spiritual gift this could be if any.

I used to be able to hear spirits when I was twelve. Sounded just as clear as somebody talking to me. A medium told me I could never do what she does, and I’m sure there is truth to that but I once had the gift and traces of it into adulthood. I’ve always wondered if it would come back, and it only left because I begged it too due to being young and terrified.

I’m questioning if it’s starting to come back or re awaken.

Should I do any meditation methods to help open it? Is it normal and nothing that will develop?
