Hey all, just wanted to send this in here that if you do not have plans Thursday night, make an effort and go to the UNT game vs FAU. It is a huge game for the mean green and should be two really good offenses playing each other which is always entertaining. If you are not a student, there will be ticket deals throughout the week! Also, this game will be on ESPN with Sportscenter set up outside the stadium beforehand. We need everyone to show up and be loud for the mean green and show the kind of crowds and atmosphere we can create! Once you get your ticket, get as many people as you can to go as well! Games are always a great time when the crowd is there and enjoying it!

Found in a neighborhood near-ish Guyer HS. If you did, please send me a message with a picture.

Our local football team is good again! I selfishly would love to see another sellout, so come support the mean green this Thursday! It should be a great game. Would love to see who here is planning to go.

Yesterday, my team and I (Death Grips) competed in the coffin races and we captured our 2 races in VR for everyone to experience at home, since its getting harder and harder to snag a roster spot. Also, some people stopped by our pit and got to watch shortly after our races.

If you'd like to view for yourself and you own a VR headset, here's a link to download the videos.

Dropbox

Here's also a Youtube link for ease of use but downloading is the best quality.

Let me know what you think and hope its a cool experience.

Your friends at Kurowashi Sumo Collective (in the Dojo just off the Square) invite you to come join us for Sumo wrestling tonight at the Bearded Monk! Costumes encouraged, you can enjoy our wrestlers’ matches or step in the dohyo (ring) yourself! All sizes, genders, and experience levels welcome; we will match you with someone you’re comfortable with.

I’ll be the Macho Man Randy Sumo (OOH YEAH!) and I’ll see you there!

I hope I'm not the only who saw this literally 30 minutes ago (2 pm) but there's a group of people in the corner of Rat Kroger with anti-abortion signs and such. They're in the corner where all the traffic can see of course.

I wanted to take a pic but 1. I was driving and 2. I feel a little weird taking pics of people while I was in my car (?)

As much as I would like to get out of my car and interact with these people (mostly men who were in this group btw🙄) and tell them to stop spreading their harmful misinformation, please do not interact with them. Let's not give these people our time and attention it's definitely not worth it sometimes.

Be safe out there!

Last night I was parked on the edge of the park to go to the square and I just noticed someone doused the side of my car in what I assume is red food coloring? I washed most of it off but you can see it stained my stickers. I’m not even mad I’m just confused lol, did this happen to anyone else?

Got a noontime blowout on I35E southbound near Buccee's. A kind brother offered to help, but the job was essentially done and I didn't get a chance to thank him properly for his consideration. He was the only person to show concern, and the missus and I hold a special place for him in our hearts. I was the dumpy white guy, and my wife the adorable little brown woman. We got home OK, the spare didn't go careening across the highway while our axle carved into the concrete.

This was my first time visiting Denton's Day of the Dead Festival. There were people at the corners using megaphones and amplifiers to shout their religious beliefs over the parade. Is this typical for this event? It was extremely loud and interfered with the parade experience. There wasn't a way to get away from it because they set up right along the parade's path.

10/24/2026 at around 6:30pm. This very friendly dog came onto our property it doesn’t have a collar. Does it belong to anyone?

Update: owners have been identified and are on their way to pick up the dog. Thanks everyone!

Do any shops in Denton sell kava? I know there’s the kava bar but I was wondering if there’s some place local I could shop instead of ordering online.

Trying to get ideas but also give everybody a space to talk about it. Y’all staying in to avoid crowds, give out candy to trick or treaters? Or are there some events yall are planning to go to?

Saturday October 31st 2-4pm at Fred Moore Park. Bring any donations to the free store!

I wanted to visit the square during the evening so I can see the large “Halloweentown” pumpkin. (Where is this located btw)

As someone who has never attended before, what are the must-see things I should do? Also where do I park?

Thank you.

There's like 7 units hanging out with lights on

This is Bubbas, the MOST affectionate cat I have ever met! He is such a curious cuddlebug! He is also a very chatty man with a LOUD purr!

He is a stray that lived near my apartment complex. He is extremely friendly with people which makes me think he was dumped. He has lived inside with me for ~3 months, but, due to him having FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) and my cat not getting along with him, I have to rehome him. FIV is spread by deep bite wounds, so it is safe to have him share litter or bowls with other cats! My cat tries to fight him, though, which is not safe for either kitty.

Bubbas was successfully treated for Giardia, and he is SUCH a strong, lively boy now! He has his vaccines, has been neutered, and has a microchip. He is only 1 year old. I can send vet paperwork to you if you decide to adopt him! He also has a steel litterbox, an elevated food bowl, and a small cat tree we can send him off with.

Adoption fee of $50 to ensure seriousness and safety of adopter. Only keep him as an indoor cat. Not good with dogs. Please message me if interested in meeting him!

I LOVED watching all of the films produced for Thinline’s 48 Hours of Hell race last night. Would any teams be willing to drop links to their films so I can watch them again? Thanks for keeping Denton so weird!

Pretty last minute. But anyone have info on the public transit info for the festival?

I’m planning on going to the med park station and taking the DCTA train the rest of the way.

But wanted to know if taking the shuttle from the golden triangle mall will be a better option?

Don’t plan on staying past 9-10pm. Any help is appreciated. Thanks you!!

I got reports of possible gunfire around 3am today oct24th around N Elm and Windsor, anyone know anything about it?
