I am currently looking for an apartment (like everyone, lol)
Since I'm partially paralyzed I need something without steps obviously.
Sadly a lot of people on Immoscout and such forget to mention whether the entrance has stairs or not - I have seen multiple apartments which were not explicitly labelled as accessible but turned out to be (at least for me) accessible.
Now I'm wondering, should I just put the fact that I'm in a wheelchair into the message when i write someone? Sadly I'm afraid that some people's idea of disabled people will lower my chances to be invited, however it's also hard to find out if places are stairless on just the pictures and Google street view...
Is there any elegant way to mention this?

Hello all!
I am considering visiting your city in early December, mostly for the christmas markets. We are planning to stay for 3 days so we would also like to visit the city and possibly any surrounding cities that might be worthy. I have a couple of questions about this trip:
- Are all the Christmas markets close to the Cathedral? From the maps I have found it seemed so, but I wanted to confirm
- From an access standpoint, is there any zone to avoid? It seemed to me that the city is very well served with trams and subway. We are considering staying 15/20 from tram to the center
- Do the markets usually accept payments by card or is it better to have money with us?
Thank you!

I have been living in Cologne for about 4 years and somehow I feel the women's harassment though lower than other German cities, is still present from time to time and I wanted to share my experience so I can also hear from other people that have unfortunately experienced the same. It is not a surprise whenever you're on the tram and out of nowhere sits next to you strange suspects, and today, happened to me, that a random old man who is carrying a beer in his hand, sat next to me and started doing strange sounds next to me while looking at me. There was another woman sitting in front of me and both felt uncomfortable. The man was all the time looking at us doing strange movements with his hands and feet and looking in a very uncomfortable manner. This reminded me of a situation 2 years ago in a bus stop with another old man coming to me with obscene expression and then leaving to pee close to me. Besides this, two recent situations happened to me in Uber/Bolt when the driver starts asking me personal questions such as if I have a boyfriend and requesting me to ask for more services in the future, giving me without consent their personal number. This is quite creepy and if I think about it so many times that has happened only to me, I cannot imagine how often this happens everyday to so many women! This is horrible and so uncontrolled. I did an official report to the police regarding the bus stop harassment and the police identified him by a KVB public camera, and they told me there is nothing else they can do about it! It is sad that outside German cities are being seen or classified as safe (of course safer than Latinamerica big cities where I also lived) but this doesn't mean we don't have to deal with this so often. Besides harassment and strange men, I have also noticed the increased amount of people on drugs/drunk that have the total freedom to sit next to you in the tram. For me, security people should be standing in every station controlling who comes in. What has been your experience so far?

Hallo,

Hey everyone! I was wondering if there are any Greek people in this subreddit who live in Cologne. Would be nice to meet some fellow Greeks, make new friends, grab a coffee or a drink and hang out sometime! :)

Hallo zusammen,

Hey Reddit!
Wisst ihr zufällig was?

I am 30M and am unfortunately a victim of balding and hair thinning.. While hair fibers do help me get through life, they are quite a messy and high effort solution to my problem.. I am looking for a more stable and less messy solution to this problem..
So I am looking for suggestions on where I can find a decent hair system in Cologne. I would prefer that the clinic have a customized hair system (and not just some random wig) for me (that lasts atleast 6 months).. And the whole procedure of putting on the hair system should be done within a day..
My Total budget is 500 euros..
Does anyone have any suggestion in Cologne or nearby?
