Conflict Pentagon orders bases to plan for 90 days without the grid as Britain urges families to stockpile food and water

What do you all think about this? The article mentions a concern about Chinese hackers. It starts off: The Pentagon wants every major U.S. military base to run for 90 days without outside help if a war cuts off power and supply chains. Across the Atlantic, Britain is telling families to keep canned food, bottled water and cash on hand to get through three days of disruption.

This is collapse related because we are seeing our globalized systems and the relatively friendly relations between major super powers start to fracture. We are seeing concerns from multiple countries that something could happen to affect the grid in a major way. We are seeing the potential beginnings of major global conflict ramping up in a way that I do not recall seeing in my lifetime.

“[…] our increasing use of AI systems to accelerate our own research and development may cause the
capabilities of our models to advance more rapidly than our ability to develop, validate, and implement
corresponding safety, alignment, and security measures. Much of our evidence regarding the pace of such AI-driven acceleration is derived from lagging indicators, and our ability to forecast or measure the rate at which our capabilities are advancing, including any acceleration attributable to our most recent or unreleased models, is limited. As a result, we may not identify a significant acceleration in our rate of development until after it has occurred.”
