SUPPORT Double pointer

Hey everyone. I spun up a fresh vm on VMWare Workstation Pro using the archinstall script and downloaded the following additional packages:

base-devel

i3-wm

kitty

picom

polybar

feh

rofi

neovim

firefox

yazi

fastfetch

I noticed the double pointer and consulted the arch wiki to which I was instructed to download "open-vm-tools" and "xf86-input-libinput"

I ran the following commands:

sudo systemctl enable --now vmtoolsd.service

sudo systemctl enable --now vmware-vmblock-fuse.service

Still duplicate cursor. So I added "exec --no-startup-id vmware-user" in my i3 config but there's still 2 cursors. Could it be picom doing this? Can anyone help me solve this? Thank you

If the wiki told you to download these packages, but used systemctl to enable them, it means you either had them already and just enabled their daemon or you installed nothing and your systemctl commands did nothing.

systemctl is a tool to start and stop system services, not to install packages. I would start there.
