Discussion Looks like Ønehart was stealing music from other ambient artists

Whether we like it or not, we've all heard Snowfall by Ønehart somewhere on social media. I know quite a few of us in this community have been hesitant over that genre or sphere of ambient, so when I came across this fall out between his label (dreamscape) and the artist, My Head Is Empty, I wasn't terribly surprised he had been stealing without due credit.

You can see the conversations and fallout here in which My Head Is Empty shared:

Self-promo How can I find An Ambient Lover Audience? Ive never Made songs like that before

Hello,

My name is GOLFGÜRL( NIRN ), a trap and edm producer ..

I Recently came across this movie called lost in translation, and the vibe gave me intense goosebumps that I couldn't describe, a mix of nostalgia, hope and excitement. It was really unsetling.

I was feeling pretty bad at this moment stuck making a trap beat, with the vibe from the movie in my head.

So I said f\*ck it and opened the serum synthetizer I usually use for making trap and dubsteps, and tried to replicate the feeling of being alone, with plucks that reverberate towards silence....

I used strings to emphasize this excitement, even tho they play some sad chords, they are powerful enough to give u this hype feeling

I let you discover the rest, and tell me how does it make u feel.

So let me know if u can give me a feedback .does it reverberate with you ? Can u also recommand me what ambient song touched u the most personally ?

I really wish I could share this weird emotion with someone 🫶🏼

Back in 2021 I had a really good trip to the Pacific Northwest with my life partner, her and I made this album, mostly on tape, to mark that journey. I hope it puts you in a good headspace <3

A curious collection which is impossible to pin down but easy to love. Synths, organs and weird voices coalesce here into psychedelic drones, there into modern composition and occasionally into a depressed Add n to (x). Tactile.

The footage you're seeing is of a Eurotrip I had with two of my buds in the summer. This is my first track where I just played with a synthesizer. I regularly make very, very distorted and harsh music which resembles techno in structure, so this was a new and peaceful experience for me. I made it back in 2025. The change in the way the synth bends is me changing BL Drivers' frequency up and down. It was really tricky to get it to sound right - it sounded very unnatural at first, but through a lot of tweaking, I made it sound smooth, so I'm happy with the outcome. Try to imagine the sounds of the beat that appears in the middle of the track. I think it's quite hard to actually recognise what you're listening to. Funnily enough, it's my own voice that's almost unrecognisably distorted. So I guess the techno experience kind of helped me there! :)

I think this is quite a unique track - it's fast-paced which I understand is not the typical for ambient music. I really didn't want to unnecessarily extend an idea when it doesn't need to be. I called the track Fog because I find it so beautiful. The air is always so crisp, it looks so ominous yet peaceful. It's, in a way, bright darkness. I also find seagulls to sound so beautiful. I've lived in Riga almost my whole life, and now, being an international student in the Netherlands, I miss home a bit. It's the first thing you hear when you open the window in the morning and get hit with the cozy, foggy scenery. I wanted the track to encapsulate the feeling of looking back into the past. The opposite of surreal - something very humane, rare, and beautiful. The track is live and is available here:

i think this one is very meditative with a "introspective" lofi vibe. this album is based on field recordings wrapped by ambient/drone synths and its concept is basically missing the place where u belong.

the last one is very releatable 37:56

Self-promo Aevum Requies - Deep Sleep in 40 Minutes

Hi everyone,

I just released a 40-minute ambient track designed for deep sleep and total relaxation:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztPdC1k7y6A

My goal was to create a continuous atmospheric flow that helps the mind fully let go, without sudden shifts or jarring transitions.

Since I’m constantly refining my soundscapes, I’d love to get your honest feedback:

  • How does the mix and overall balance feel to you?
  • Does the pacing work well for winding down or sleeping?
  • Are there any specific elements or frequencies you feel could be improved?

Any thoughts or advice from fellow ambient listeners and creators would be greatly appreciated!

Self-promo I made this for anyone who needs a little peace and quiet

Lately, I've been experimenting with creating relaxing instrumental music, the kind you can put on in the background while working, reading, unwinding after a long day, or just letting your mind slow down.

I wanted to create something that feels peaceful without being distracting, so I put together this piece. It's been a fun little creative project, and I'm curious to hear what people think.

If you're someone who enjoys ambient music or uses music to relax, I'd love to know what kind of atmosphere this gives you. Does it help you unwind, or would you prefer something different?

Here's the piece if anyone feels like listening: https://youtu.be/pQZ6xy0klFo

Would love to hear your honest thoughts! 🌿

Stillwavesessions — 2 hours 22 minutes of ambient electronic for deep work

I've been developing Stillwavefocus as a project centered on ambient electronic and downtempo music for focused work.

This mix uses soft synth layers, a restrained melody, and gradual changes in texture with gradual changes rather than dramatic transitions. I wanted it to feel spacious enough to leave room for thought while still having a sense of movement.

It's intended for working, studying, reading, or any task where you want music in the background without constantly switching tracks.

I'd appreciate feedback on the pacing and overall sound.
