Help/Question - RESOLVED GitHub login not working - error

Today I'm trying to login via GitHub (that's where I have my progress saved on) and the authentication is failing, returning a simple black page with the following message:

failed to authenticate. (access_token request returned 500 Header line too long (9243; limit is 8192))

Tried with different browser and cleaning cookies, with no success.

Is there something going on with Advent Of Code website, or something on GitHub side?

Edit: fixed

I see this issue, but I haven't changed this logic on my end in a long time. I just dumped the request I'm sending and there are absolutely not any lines that long (the entire request including the headers is <400 bytes long). So, this seems like a bug on GitHub's end, hopefully a temporary one.

Edit: I've submitted a ticket to GitHub support.

Edit 2: Nope, this is a limitation of a library I'm using which has a maximum line length while parsing HTTP responses and apparently those failures are reported as if the server returned an HTTP 500. I'm working on fixing it now.

Edit 3: Ok, this should be fixed. Please try logging in again.

No solution, just wanted to mention I'm having the same issue today.

Nothing extra to add, but wanted to confirm that I'm getting the same issue on 2 different GitHub accounts that are tied to 2 different AoC accounts. Numbers in the error (9243/8192) are identical.

Edit: Working for me now! Thanks!
