Misc. looking for a co-writer for my webcomic

hi! I’m currently in the process for looking for a co writer for my webcomic (or writers but I just need at-least one). If you’re okay with writing dark stories and complex characters, dm me so I can give more info about the project. Keep in mind I am not looking for people with experience, just someone to share ideas with and beta read!

If you don’t want to help with writing but still want to help, check out the post on my profile for more information!

Roleplay One More Reply. Okay, Just One More.

Hey, everyone!

Remember the good old days of roleplaying? The ones where you’d sit down to check for a reply, blink, and suddenly realize you’d spent the last three hours glued to your computer? When a simple idea somehow grew into a sprawling story, the characters started feeling like real people, and you found yourself thinking about the next scene long after you’d logged off?

Yeah. I’m chasing that feeling.

I’m a male writer in my late-thirties who is looking for a like-minded writing partner who wants to build something memorable together. Give me compelling characters, messy relationships, fascinating worlds, unexpected twists, and moments that make a story feel alive. I want plots that keep us guessing, characters we get attached to, and replies that leave us excited to see what happens next.

A Little About My Writing Style

I write exclusively in the third-person, past tense and consider myself an advanced literate writer. My replies typically consist of three or more substantial paragraphs, with room for character development and detail.

That said, I'm not interested in writing a novel just for the sake of writing a novel. I value substance over word count, and while I love immersing myself in a scene, moving the story forward and giving my partner something to work with are always the priority.

The Stories I Want to Tell

Slice of Life will always have a special place in my heart.

There's something uniquely compelling about stories that center on ordinary people living complicated lives. The relationships we build, the mistakes we make, the things we leave unsaid, and the moments that change everything can be just as gripping as any world-ending threat or epic quest.

Sometimes, all you need is a chance encounter, an unexpected reunion, a friendship that slowly becomes something more, or two people who can't seem to get out of their own way.

A few of my favorite tropes include:

  • Second Chances: Two people get another opportunity to explore a connection that fell apart the first time. Maybe they've changed. Maybe they haven't. Either way, there's unfinished business.
  • Star-Crossed Romance: Two people are drawn to each other despite the expectations, circumstances, or loyalties that threaten to keep them apart.
  • Opposites Attract: Two people from completely different backgrounds or walks of life discover that their differences might be exactly what they need.

I'm also very open to Low Fantasy and Science Fiction!

What I'm Looking for in a Partner

More than anything, I'm looking for a writing partner, not just someone to trade paragraphs with.

I'd love to find someone who gets invested in our characters and wants to collaborate on a story that belongs to both of us. Someone who occasionally sends a message just to gush about a scene, pitch a wild idea, or say, "Okay, hear me out..."

I love having a general direction for a story, but I'm equally fond of the unexpected turns that happen when two writers build on each other's ideas. The best roleplays are the ones where we're both invested enough to be surprised by our own story.

Communication, enthusiasm, and a willingness to collaborate go a long way with me. You don't have to be available every waking moment or produce a novel with every reply. But I’d love to find someone who enjoys the process as much as I do.

A Quick Note About Availability

I'm on the U.S. East Coast (Eastern Time) and am primarily available during the daytime on weekdays. Evenings and weekends can be a bit hit or miss, so if you're looking for someone who can reliably write throughout the night or spend entire weekends roleplaying, I may not be the best fit.

Sound Like Your Kind of Story?

If you're also looking for that spark, I’d love to hear from you.

Let's find an idea we can't stop thinking about, build some characters worth caring about, and write a story that makes us look forward to logging back in.

Hope to hear from you!

Looking for an accountability buddy!

Hi there! As the title says, I’m on the search for an accountability buddy! Ideally, we would both chat about our stories, share ideas and details and motivate one another to write and keep going! There’s no pressure to share excerpts, because I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

I would much prefer if you were 25+ as I am 29.

Disclaimer: I am not looking for someone to write my story with nor will I write yours. This is a buddy-focused accountability thing.

Hope to hear from you!

Roleplay Gravity Falls roleplay

I'm looking for anyone who can roleplay as Bill Cipher. I'll be playing as an OC. (I'll send their bio in dm.)

This will take place after the events of the show. I'm thinking of Bill being the main villain in this rp. We can come up with the plot together.

Rules:

• I prefer my roleplay partner to be 21+

• All characters must be adults.

• Please be at least semi-lit. (So at least being able to write a paragraph.)

• I don't expect any romance to happen in the RP. (I'm also making it clear that I don't want any romance to happen between my oc and Bill.) But if somehow there is romance involving my oc and another adult character. I only do BxG pairings.

• No NSFW

• Please have Discord.

If interested in roleplaying with me. Feel free to comment or send a DM. (I don't respond to upvotes, even though I do appreciate it.)

Roleplay Looking for writing partner

Hi,

I am looking for a writing partner (if you also know Spanish, this is a plus). This would be writing for fun and will not be published. I would like someone who is able to write paragraphs. The plot I have takes from 1985-1989 and then again, in 2015. It is fiction, like slice of life with other genres in-between. The plot takes place in the Lehigh Valley. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, specifically. I tend to do this on messenger and if you are comfortable and willing, we can go ahead and use messenger as the the writing platform. It would be back and forth.

Thanks!

Looking for a co author for my book (teenagers only)

Looking for a co author for a modern dungeon story

I've posted here before but I don't think it got much attention, so I'm trying again with a clearer pitch.

The story is about a pro gamer who quits to go home to his parents. A few months later he gets sick and ends up in an unresponsive wakefulness state for ten years. During that time he lives through other people's bodies, which he calls avatars. He can only keep five at once and he doesn't get to pick their abilities, just things like class and gender. When he finally wakes up, he realizes that what he thought was a game was actually the future.

He wakes up with a body that barely works, a family that drifted apart, and a world that kept going without him. His main goal is to fix things with his brother and sister, who were kids when he went under. While he does that, he quietly starts building an organization to protect the people he cares about and to earn a steady income from everything he picked up in those other lives.

The setting is modern Earth with dungeons, guilds, classes, and companies that bid on parties like a stock market. The first part is slow and grounded on purpose. It's mostly recovery, a paycheck, old friends, and starting a company from nothing. There are fights, but if you want one every chapter, this isn't that.

I've done a lot of worldbuilding and I'm switching over to writing the actual scenes and dialogue for the opening. I usually have trouble sticking with one story, but this one has held on, and I'd like some help keeping the momentum up.

If you want to co-write, you'd get credit and a lot of creative freedom. The one rule is that you can't break a character's established personality. Bigger changes would go through me and any other co-author. If that sounds like your kind of thing, message me here and we can move to Discord.

Prose - Fiction Romantasy, sci-fi/romance, and paranormal romance- I’ve got worlds and plots and need a writing partner

I have several different book ideas with 3 pretty well sketched out with characters and plot points. I just don’t have the time to commit to writing it all down.

I have out-of-the-box world building, but I want to lean into the classic romance tropes. I’m going for a trashy fun vibe with meaningful undercurrents. Stories that explore identity, power, and community with fun, sexy, escapist fiction in an unconventional world.

Looking for someone who can take ideas and get them into chapters, is seeking fresh world ideas, and who wants to co-create stories together.

Totally open to revisions and feedback on all my ideas.

I’d love to try to publish and sell what we write and split any profits. I’m flexible on the arrangement, including taking a smaller share if you’re doing the majority of the actual writing. We can figure out what’s fair based on what we each contribute.

If you’re interested, DM me!

Detailed Literate Roleplayer / Wannabee Fanfic Writer Looking For Longterm Harry Potter Roleplay [OC or Canon]

Hello and well met! I'm CanuckBuck, also known as ChaosCowboy. I'm 36, in between jobs at the moment, and I've been honed in on the harry potter universe for the past six months. I'd like to say I got back into things before the HBO show and the gender swapped Malfoy trend took over the conversation so I'm not a Johnny-Come-Lately. I've been workshopping and fine tuning an OC character for the better part of those six months as well, and am looking to explore the character in narrative. I'm very detailed, I've experience handling various npcs, I'm willing to create the whole Hogwarts world and explore any year or all of them.

My OC is very interesting and I'd love to explore him. But I'm also open to other pairings. I'd love to explore OC x Pansy or Draco x Pansy, or OC x OC. And I have obviously been paying attention to the genderbent Draco Malfoy trend and I think it would be fun to explore in roleplay, though my Harry Potter would be a different beast to the one in the books and the movies.

I do detailed, literate, novella style roleplay. I'm a little bit rusty but I'm very engaged and have lots of time on my hands at present. I'd really love to connect with an adult woman who also loves Harry Potter and wants to explore this world. I am picky, but I'm also open minded. My chat is open, and I roleplay exclusively over discord. Thank you for giving this post a read, and I hope we can connect. Have an excellent morning/day/evening!

[Online][Fantasy] 5-author round-robin novel — one turn at a time

I want to write a novel with strangers — and actually finish it. The format: five authors,
one shared world; each person writes one fragment (500–1,000 words) and passes the turn.
The rules — genre, tone, what you can't do to someone else's characters — are agreed
before we start. Every turn gets three days, and the order is fixed, so nobody has to ask
"whose turn is it?" ten times.

I also built a small tool for exactly this — a queue, a timer, notifications — but the
point is the people. Platform: spilnaknyha.pp.ua

Looking for four people ready to write around 800 words every few days for a month.
Comment with the genre you'd pick and I'll send an invite.

Character Dev. 32F - Chronically Ill Writer: Let's Swap Characters + Daydreams

I'm Cru. I’m introverted and in need of writer-friends, not by choice. I'm chronically ill.

Where I get lost, though, and either forget or become fully immersed in my introverted-chronically-ill life is writing.

I’d like to exchange characters or worlds, or cowrite, or whatever!

A lot of my characters have chronic illness and disability, and my written world and its supporting characters get it right. My latest character creation is a pain specialist by day, interrogation specialist by night. My other new dude is an ex-convict who ends up babysitting an ADA’s adult daughter after her apartment is broken into. I've also got a Danish surgeon in the British military with a half-Korean daughter. I'd love to explore these developed characters, or just yap about them to anyone who is willing to listen.

Other than that, *Hannibal* (2013) is my favorite show for its clever writing and amazing acting. My bestie from college says that Hugh Dancy is my hobby, and she's probably not wrong. I am pretty funny sometimes. Sometimes, it's just sad self-deprecation that comes off as funny. Oops.

Who are you daydreaming about today? Have they met your document yet? I’d love to hear about them! I prefer to use Discord, and will always be up for a chat (provided you’re not rude and nobody makes it weird. Duh.)

Also, if ya feel like we may vibe, I’m open to discussing roleplay plots! I do not do sci-fi, apocalyptic, or fantasy, but love grittier themes locked into reality. Shoot me a message! I’ll always listen to an idea!

Bad grammar and spelling massively takes away from the quality of your writing; i’ll edit for you for free, and make sure your writing is always clean and professional.

Honestly, I’m bored as hell and enjoy editing, so message me if you want my services for free.

Whether it’s explicit writing or nerdy fan-fiction, I won’t judge at all.

Prose - Fiction Sci-fi writer seeking a critique partner

Hi, I’m currently 20k words into a planned 80-90k sci-fi draft and I’m looking for a fellow writer to trade critiques with, motivate eachother to meet our goals, and just talk shop.

My novel is about a compromised detective caught in an interplanetary conspiracy, told in the form of a memoir from his former partner.

I mainly read and enjoy history, philosophy, and sci-fi and I’d prefer a partner who’s familiar with the same genres.

Must be over 18 and based in the US (easier to communicate with time zones and all)

Roleplay Longterm Advanced Literate Partner Search!

Hello everyone!

Before messaging me, please make sure you’ve read my post carefully so we’re on the same page and can avoid any confusion later on.

My name is Stitch, I’m a 22-year-old male, and I’ve been roleplaying for around 7 years now. I write in first person, and I usually do at least 5 paragraphs, though I can definitely write more if needed!

I’m open to both original and fandom-based roleplays, and I’ll list my fandoms below:

• Disney Pixar Cars (Craving)

• Sonic (Craving)

• Solarballs (Craving)

• Winnie The Pooh (Craving)

• 2003 Silverwing Series (Craving)

• The Jungle Book: The Adventures of Mowgli Shonen Anime Series! (Craving)

• Illumination’s SING (Craving)

• Zootopia (Craving)

• How to Train Your Dragon (Craving)

• Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart (Craving)

• The Lion King

• Lilo & Stitch! (Craving)

• Super Mario Bros (Craving!)

Since I’m 22+, I’d prefer my RP partners to be 18+ for comfort and maturity reasons. I’m specifically looking for partners who also enjoy first-person writing, as that’s the only style I use. I’d also appreciate it if you’re able to write at least 4 paragraphs or more to keep the RP interesting.

Please note: I don’t double up on characters. I’ve never done it during my time roleplaying, so I hope that’s okay!

If fandom roleplays aren’t your thing, I’m also very open to original plots especially adoption stories. One of my favorite plot ideas involves a human being adopted by a different species. I’ve always found that concept really interesting and enjoyable.

Important rule: Please don’t block or ghost me out of nowhere. If you’re no longer interested, please let me know! I’m always open to communication on how we can improve things to make it fun for the both of us

If you’re interested, feel free to message me! We’ll go over the details in DMs and then move to Discord once everything’s set!

Script Need a partner to Critique and brainstorm. (Teenwriter)

[14M]

I'm looking for someone who can critique and help me brainstorm for my script. And I will do the same in return.

I'm working on multiple scripts, each with the same shared universe. The main one I'm going to be working on now takes place on the world Turtle. The tone is grounded, based on character friction and societal oppression. And I'm not the biggest fan of cheesy tropes or making my characters just like argue for the sake of it.
