Very interesting. During the latest gravel tests in Portugal and tarmac tests in Spain, Toyota used what we thought was the final WRC27 body design. But now, at this late stage of development, they're testing the body design we saw back in late spring and summer again in Finland.
So, could Toyota be planning to use two different body designs for WRC27? Is that even allowed under the regulations? What do you think?
Personally, if Toyota can only use one body design, I'd prefer the fastback version they tested in Spain and Portugal earlier this month.
Edit:How would Ford react if they saw Toyota running two different body designs?

Carlos Sainz sr. Will drive a Puma Rally1 at Rally de Asturias, which will pay homage to his WRC career.
You can read more about his thoughts on the Puma Rally1 with the article.

An awesome job by Antti(It gets faster now!) to compile all these clips, and even give them English subtitles!
Marcus is one of my all time favorite characters in WRC, but like many drivers of that era, it's difficult to find a lot of info about the beginnings of their careers. It's really cool to see a young Grönholm in cars like an old Ascona, and a Group N Lancia Delta!

Mārtiņš Sesks has won the ERC finale at Rally Six Cities North of Portugal by over a minute to Pablo Sarrazin. After a battle with Korhonen all rally long, Sesks manages to hold Korhonen and Sarrazin off and win his fifth ever ERC event. This result also confirms that Team MRF Tyres have won the Teams' Championship. The overall top 10 is attached.

Sesks is on the way to his fifth ERC victory this weekend with a 10 and a half second lead over 2026 WRC-2 runner-up, Roope Korhonen at Rally Six Cities North of Portugal. You can hear from Six Cities leader, Mārtiņš Sesks in the article attached.
Could we see Sesks more in the ERC next season?
So I've stumbled upon this post on FB about Toyota testing out a mid-engined 2.0L car in Japan thats speculated to be the new MR2. After seeing pics of it, I noticed how similar it looks to the WRC27 car Toyota is also testing on. I know this may be a big stretch and Im likely to be wrong here, but I have a feeling that the WRC27 car is likely based upon this other car Toyota is testing on. Whether its a new Celica, new MR2, or an entirely original car concept is anyones guess, including mine. Thoughts?

Which driver do you think has the best potential to adapt the quickest to the new car?
I think drivers will profit being familiar with its 3 cylinder Rally2 derived engine which has a very different revving nature and driving style than a 4 cylinder Rally2 engine - something which many drivers have stated after switching to a Yaris Rally2.
Obviously most drivers will have tested the car multiple times by January, but I do think some drivers with experience in the Yaris Rally2 version like Solberg and Pajari potentially could have an edge over the other guys used to the 4 cylinder engines for the first few events.
All speculation of course, we will see it in January on the first stages.
Due to the WRC coming back to the US, I plan to go to the Knoxville Rally. It will be my first time spectating a stage rally in person and would like some advice on how best to do it. Are service park passes worth it? What parts of the stage are best for spectating? At the event should I plan to be watching it on my phone whilst they are not in the section I am spectating (I have Rally.tv). I just want to know what to expect and how to make the most of it. Cheers!

Personally, Rally3 is one of my favorite classes. It feels like a really nice balance of cost to performance, but there aren’t many cars to choose from and not a lot of coverage. I’d love to see Skoda and Lancia join the party and I’d like to see it get a bit more love from the promoter.

Have the stages for Scotland 2027 been published anywhere?
Thinking about accommodation around Aberdeen and any info on where the stages might be would maybe help?
Or has anyone just booked and happy to drive out to wherever they can when things are published.
Thanks in advance.
