I wanted to try to mod a topdown view game into a 3D Diorama for mixed reality, and I thought this old puzzle game from 2021 would be a perfect candidate !
You can get the mod Here
It will work on SteamFrame standalone but also on PCVR, to get the passthrought you may have to use virtual desktop.

Hi all. I made Dreadwell, a short free VR horror for Quest, and wanted to get it out before Halloween.
If anyone’s up for trying it, I’d really appreciate any feedback: bugs, what scared you, what didn’t, how long you lasted :)

Maybe the most slept-on game in VR, in my opinion, weighing atmosphere, gameplay mechanics and sheer SCALE against how much I hear about it.
Among Giants is quite clearly a spiritual successor to Shadow of the Colossus; exploring a huge, mysterious world filled with secrets, peril and of course MASSIVE, building-sized robots. It's absolutely dripping with atmosphere, makes great use of 6DOF for bow shooting, grappling/swinging and flying around the map. What's even crazier is it's made by a solo developer, which just blows my mind.
Story and Gameplay:
The game is cold-open, with no context for who you are, why you're here or what to do. As with other games like Outer Wilds or SoTC, you're left to figure out the world with very little information; trial and error is your primary means of learning how the game's systems work. You're guided by some minimal UI hints, but ultimately you're left to fend for yourself. The game doesn't hold your hand, and it doesn't care if you find things difficult at first - you will die almost immediately to enemies you come across, you'll get lost, you'll not understand things. But each time you get a little smarter, and a little more adept at navigating the world safely. You'll find things to help you fight harder, fly further, and decipher more of the game's lore. If, like me, you like games that respect the player's intelligence and curiosity, this is one of the best you'll find. That's really all I want to say, without spoiling any discoveries.
Mood and Feel:
Like SoTC, you feel like a tiny explorer in a vast, dangerous world. However, whilst at moments the experience can be intense, I'd describe the overall mood as meditative. A huge factor in this is the great sound and music, tipping into melancholic at times, but always grandiose. Robots whine sadly as they try to snipe you from a tower that reaches higher than you can see; giants creatures moan from somewhere too far to see. It's one of the most immersive and emotional VR experiences I've had, and it's easy to lose yourself in the world for as long as your battery will allow.
Will you like this?
I'm confident you'll love it if you're looking for a rich, deep VR experience; it's not got the instant dopamine rush of Beat Saber, the brutality of B&S, the graphical finesse of MSFS. But it has atmosphere in spades, and a deep, mysterious world that will only reveal its secrets to those who are willing to challenge themselves and persevere. The atmosphere of SoTC, the discovery of Outer Wilds, the sweeping verticality of BoTW.
I really hope this encourages even 1 or 2 more people to give this one a shot, if you haven't already; this developer deserves their flowers on this one, and more people deserve this experience.

Hey everyone,
0.9.1 is out, and the thing I'm happiest about is that multiplayer now works. I spent a lot of time on it: a game that signs in through Steam can now log in to its own online services, and lobbies work.
What I've tested so far:
A few rare games stay blocked by a protection in their APK, like VRChat, which closes by itself after a few seconds. If you try a multiplayer game, tell me how it goes, here or on the Discord: that's how I know what works and what doesn't.
I'd especially like to know whether Forefront works on Quest or on Pico, and Gorilla Tag. Any feedback is welcome, here or on the Discord.

This version also brings:
The APK is on the releases page, and it installs over the previous version and keeps your games, saves and settings. The Discord is there for help and compatibility reports. GamePort isn't made by or affiliated with Valve, Meta or Pico.

so i've been away from VR for a couple of years and mostly played HL-A and the hitman add-on back then, using teleport and i generally didn't feel motion sick.
now i'm back baby! and playing the amazing titanfall2 VR mod, beyond awesome!. only thing is, it doesn't support teleport and i get why, it wouldn't work well in this game since wall walking and jumping is a big part of it. problem is, after 30mins or so i'm getting a bit woozy and have to stop and i still feel it for a couple of hours.
i'm hoping this will go away as i regain my VR legs, i hope so because there's many more games i want to play.
i think i'm getting good frame rate, i have a new 5060ti machine and i'm using a pico 4
any thoughts?
BTW, i was considering buying a Kat C2 core slidemill, there's one close to me for $200 with shoes and everything, so the price is not a barrier, i'm just not sure i would use it when i think about, the downsides like loud AF, it takes forever to get in game, and doesn't really feel like walking anyhow

is it worth it?
is the headset good?
can i also play online in other games with people?
is there anything else i should know?
should i buy it for 100€?
(i don't know much about VRs)
