In my practice of 7 years, I noticed that the cards depicting change are the most misunderstood, so I wanna help with my insights on the matter. You have 3 major arcana cards that talk about different types of changes, and will take them one at the time.
Death
Regardless of the general conception, the Death card rarely signifies an actual death. Instead, it's associated with slow and subtle transformations, such as the change of the season, but it's about internal seasons. It is a card of inner transformations that occur slowly, one day at the time, and once you notice them, they can't be unseen anymore.
The tower
If death is a slow change, like the change of the seasons, the tower, by opposition, is a brutal and sudden change, like a riot. The tower doesn't ask you if you are ready for the changes to occur, it just brings them and leaves their management up to you. It is not necessarily a bad omen, the sudden changes can as well be positive for your life, or blessings in disguise.
The hanged man
One of my favorite cards, the hanged man speaks about those changes that can't be prevented, avoided or stopped. It's about the force of the universe acting accordingly to a timeline hidden to us. It's the card that tells us you can't do anything to avoid this, so relax and embrace the changes. And I find it beautiful.
The tarot cards that speak about change aren't good or bad, but have been demonized for so long because they talk about changes. And, as we know, humanity isn't very excited to change things.
