Discussion FLUX.3 Edit is ridiculously good

Thumbnail

Someone I know asked me as a favor to render his retro Matra concep. Did the 3D studio shots, then came the follow-up: “Could we get a hero shot on an autumn forest road?”

Dropped a render and a Pexels road photo into ComfyUI and asked Qwen 2.1 to put them together. Okay-ish, but it never quite nailed the car’s orientation or reflections.

So I fed the Qwen result and two more studio 3D renders into FLUX.3 Edit: “In <ref_image_0>, rotate the prototype <obj_1> -90 degrees. match reflections to the background.”

Bamm. First try. I mean, it rotated the car perfectly based on two reference images. That usually takes at least a RefMod/LoRA or a lot of fiddeling in 3D. Nice. Shit, if I had that just 5 years ago I would be rich.

Question - Help RTX 5090 black screen/freeze crashes

RTX 5090 Black Screen Crashes – Everything I’ve Tried So Far
I’ve been experiencing random black screen crashes with my RTX 5090, sometimes accompanied by GPU fans ramping up to 100%, frozen audio and forced shutdowns.
PC Specs:
GPU: MSI RTX 5090 Ventus 3X
CPU: Intel i9-14900K
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero
RAM: 64GB DDR5 6400 MT/s (XMP I)
PSU: Seasonic PRIME PX 1600W
OS: Windows 11
Errors: WHEA-Logger 17, nvlddmkm 14/153, LiveKernelEvent 117/141.
❌ Things I’ve tried that didn’t fix the issue
Clean NVIDIA driver installation using DDU.
Tested multiple NVIDIA driver versions (older and newer).
Removed RivaTuner Statistics Server.
Updated motherboard BIOS.
Updated motherboard/chipset drivers.
Removed CPU undervolt and restored stock settings.
Disabled various PCIe ASPM and power-saving options.
Changed Windows PCIe Link State Power Management.
Increased Windows TDR delay to 10 seconds.
Ran Windows SFC system integrity checks.
Investigated HDMI/DisplayPort and dual-monitor configuration.
Tested PCIe Gen 4 instead of Gen 5: mixed results, with temporary stability but no definitive fix.
✅ Things that seem to help / recent positive results
Physically removed and reseated the RTX 5090 in its PCIe slot.
Removed and properly reseated both RAM sticks, ensuring the locking clips engaged correctly.
Removed leftover protective plastic film from the GPU’s rear metal bracket (not confirmed as the cause).
OCCT GPU stress tests: Multiple successful one-hour runs with zero errors.
OCCT VRAM tests: No errors detected.
CPU and RAM stress tests: Passed without reported errors.
MemTest64: One hour at 6400 MT/s, zero errors.
Latest GPU stress test after reseating components: Passed for one hour with zero errors.
Extended gaming sessions with OBS running: Several hours without crashes on some days.
Current situation
The most interesting detail is that the crashes often happen during low-load situations or when returning to the PC after being idle, rather than during heavy GPU stress tests.
WHEA-Logger Event ID 17 sometimes appears right before NVIDIA driver errors, suggesting a possible PCIe communication issue.
After the latest physical inspection, GPU/RAM reseating and additional stress testing, things look promising.
However, it’s still too early to confirm that the issue is permanently fixed.
Has anyone experienced something similar with an RTX 5090? Did reseating the GPU, changing PCIe settings or another solution permanently fix it?

Question - Help How do you stop Qwen Image Edit from changing things you didn't ask it to?

I've been seeing some impressive Qwen Image Edit results, especially for changing backgrounds, clothes, or individual objects.

One thing I'm curious about is how people keep the rest of the image consistent.

For example, if you're only changing someone's outfit, how do you prevent small changes to the face, lighting, or background?

Is it mostly about prompt wording, masking, or the workflow you're using?

Would love to hear what's been working for people.

Workflow Included I made a 20-page comic. Fine-tuning was the surprisingly easy part.

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

Fine-tuning MOSS-Image was easier than I expected. I used it to make One More Take, a complete 20-page comic with recurring characters and a consistent visual style throughout.

For an engineering reference, a separate character-LoRA run used a Mac Studio with an M5 Ultra and 256GB unified memory, running SimpleTuner 4.10.1 on PyTorch MPS. I loaded the Base checkpoint in BF16, froze the text encoder, and trained a rank-32 LoRA with batch size 2 at roughly 0.59MP resolution. Checkpoints were saved and validated every 250 steps.

The full 1,500-step run took about 2h 38m, including model loading, caching and validation. After comparing checkpoints, I kept the 1,000-step version for that experiment.

Full story in the gallery. Curious whether the opening makes you want to keep reading.

Discussion This is Toska, my open source Agentic Painting tool

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is Toska, a fork of Krita I've been building with an AI painter inside it. You chat with it in a panel, and it paints one move at a time with Krita's own brush engine, on layers you can undo. Unlike other AI painting tools, this tool actually paints thanks to Krita's Python SDK along with Decision Models which guide our LLM agent along the way.

What makes agentic painting possible is these new decision models, because after every pass, it answers better or worse as a probability. The painter can undo its mistakes, along with other decisions, such as textures, paintbrushes, or tools to use. For my setup, I use GPT-6-Luna Decisions(which has vision) and DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash(it's cheap and has vision). Luna Decisons is dirt cheap and this entire month, I have spent $2.83 on Luna's Decison model along with $3.82 for Deepseek. I use Deepseek's official API for cost savings but you're welcome to use OpenRouter as well or any other provider. I use API models only given that I'm GPU Poor but it's OpenAI Compatible So feel free to add local models. If you also want full opensource try perplexity's pplx-decider-v1.2 instead of Luna.

The Agent Framework used by Toska, is Agent Pi. I use Agent Pi's Typescript SDK along with QT to build a painting agent Plugin inside Toska. It lacks the ability to read and write code, execute unlike standard Agents. It's limited to tools within the Toska and can only read files or folders you mount. Right now for today btw, our Toska is an authorized dmg file, so operation ready for Mac Users right now . Later this week, I will do more testing and make it production ready for Windows/Linux Folks with separate exe and tar files.

In the video it's painting Pyat' minut (Five Minutes), Dostoevsky on Semyonovsky Square in 1849, waiting to be shot, before he knew the Tsar had pardoned him. It worked from a goal image I gave it generated from Codex. Then it used underpainting, refined toward the goal, and added the falling and settled snow as its own pass.
This is my first time doing anything with video recording so apologies if it's a little rusty and here is the final image in full resolution of Pyat' minut.

It's a bit more simplistic, because I wanted a simple painting to show you as a demo. If you want to see my most detailed painting made with Toska, it's called New Moscow .

Here is the repo for Toska.

Question - Help Small Question about prompting

Post image
3 Upvotes

I use Anima and have an issue with a specific type of prompting. I used "distant paper lanterns" because I wanted floating Chinese/Japanese style lanterns in the air, but no matter what I try, a couple of them keep appearing close to the viewer.

I'm trying to stick to Danbooru tags, but I couldn't find any tags that would help with this specific issue.

Using a negative prompt like "lanterns close to viewer" somehow affects the other lanterns too.

What would you guys recommend?
Please let me know if there's a better subreddit to ask this in.

Thanks in advance :)

Question - Help MOSS Style Explorer?

Honestly couldn't directly find anything on the net but is there already some comprehensive style explorer for MOSS similar to the likes we've seen for Krea? The style prompts from the Krea2 explorer ( https://kreastyles.thetacursed.com/ ) do have effects on Moss though so it's not unsable. But if you know a dedicated source it would be appreciated if you could share it!

Question - Help What model or workflow are you using to create high-quality anime comics/colored manga pages?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey everyone. I’ve been experimenting with AI-generated comics recently, and I made this page with Nano Banana 2.1 (with some attempts, of course). I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, especially the colored manga style, panel layouts, character expressions, and overall storytelling.

One limitation I’ve run into with Nano Banana 2.1 is that it doesn’t support the adult content I’d like to create as part of my patreon project. So I’m also looking for alternatives that offer similar artistic quality while allowing adult content.

I’d love to hear about your actual experiences. Are there any specific models, checkpoints, LoRAs, or workflows you’d recommend? I’m open to both local setups and hosted services. I found some popular alternatives in CivitAI using Illustrious but those don't really create a comic page.

If you’ve created something similar, I’d really appreciate to see examples of your work!

Thanks in advance! :)

News ⚠️ PSA: Beware of Fake GitHub Projects — Especially AI Tools and ComfyUI Custom Nodes

Post image
130 Upvotes

I recently discovered a highly suspicious GitHub repository while searching for AI tools. After inspecting its source code and commit history, I found several serious red flags:

  • Fake development activity: Automated workflows generating meaningless commits.
  • Misleading claims: Dozens of advertised features, but almost no actual application code.
  • Hidden redirects: Base64-encoded HTML pointing to an unrelated download website.
  • Security bypass instructions: Encouraging users to ignore SmartScreen warnings and whitelist files in their antivirus.
  • Suspicious connections: Multiple unrelated repositories directing users to the same external download domain.

I couldn't verify whether the actual executable contained malware, but these findings strongly suggest a deceptive download operation.

I've reported the repository to GitHub. I encourage everyone to report similarly suspicious repositories, too, with supporting evidence.

I'm deliberately not sharing its name or URL to avoid giving it additional exposure.

This also applies to ComfyUI custom nodes, extensions, AI utilities, and other GitHub projects. Installing a custom node can execute Python code with access to your system, files, and potentially sensitive information.

Useful tools for checking suspicious projects

  • VirusTotal — Check file hashes, downloads, domains, and URLs.
  • urlscan.io — Investigate suspicious websites and redirects.
  • ChatGPT — Ask it to review repository source code, commit history, workflows, and potential security risks.
  • GitHub Reporting — Report suspicious repositories with evidence.

No scanner or AI review can guarantee that software is safe. Avoid uploading private files to public scanning services.

I've attached a simple infographic to help others recognize these warning signs.

GitHub stars, impressive READMEs, and frequent commits are not proof of trustworthiness.

Stay safe, and please help keep the open-source community clean. ❤️

Question - Help Moss - ghost people.

I have this problem that when I prompt for "A man standing against a white background" or similar prompts, moss displays that man, and a copy of him to the left and the right of him, which is slightly ethereal and ghostly. When prompting for 2 people, quite often there is a third person poking their head up behind them also. I'm using the SFT model. It seems to be a problem when Moss wants to fill the image with something. If I place the man in some sort of environment, the problem becomes less pronounced but does not dissapear entirely.

It is annoying. Is there a fix?

Question - Help Running Moss on Stability matrix, is it possible?

I have been using Stability Matrix when running models, I used to use it for Fooocus but when that died out I pretty much stopped using it. I have never really liked comfy ui but that seems to be all there is.

I have downloaded some Moss models and workflows but they don't seem to work as I have errors. I could have sworn that in the past when I download a workflow it had an option to download all associated models, loras, VAE, etc. but I can't find it now.

Does anyone have or know of a guide either written or video, that will do a good job of explaining how to run Moss on Stability Matrix?

Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/s/DQlE9pFWpA

I've added a few things to my ComfyUI text generator since my original post.

What’s new:

  • Context memory: keep refining a prompt across runs without repeating everything. Includes a usage meter and a button to start fresh. Context window size by default is 8192 tokens, you can customize the value.
  • Added prompt guides for Moss Image and Fibo 2.
  • VGL structured JSON prompts (recommended for Fibo 2).
  • Cleaner UI with separate settings and generator nodes.
  • Searchable model lists by provider (api key is required).
  • Expandable settings node.

GitHub: https://github.com/ninjaGurung/ComfyUI-GOATd-Universal-Text-Generator

Let me know how it works for you, or if there’s something you’d like me to add!

Discussion Moss Quality vs Krea 2 Quality?

So ive been testing moss the last few days, curious about how easy it is to prompt, but somehow i did not even get close to the level of detail and quality krea 2 can dish out.

Like an image done with a krea 2 turbo model with 2 passes on 8 steps has so much more finer details like skin pores, detailed eyes, cloth textures etc. than a 50 step raw model gen with a qwen 2.1 upscale afterwards.

I mean moss images look fine as thumbnails and such but in my testing so far to use them as full on wallpapers moss just struggles with quality.

Do you think this is something that will be "fixed" or can be improved on later or is that just not a good use case for moss in general? What are you experiences so far and opinions on this?

Question - Help Minimax Workflow for RTX4090

Hi wizards,

I have been dealing a lot with trying to figure out a good workflow for Minimax H3, that runs in my 4090 24VRAM+ 128Gb RAM.

Using a seedhunter WF from Civitai, takes 140 secs to create a 0.3MP, 5 seconds test, up to 14 mins, to interpolate + upscale

Using Taomate 3 Step lora, comfy kitchen

If I increase duration or size, it throws everything to the RAM and CPU and takes forever, I usually stop it at this point. (I notice the GPU Wattage usage falls under 100W and no progress in CMD shows up, regulars levels are +300W)

On the other hand, using a Lenovo Go + RTX 5060Ti Egpu, works faster or very similar. And never happened that OOM thing.

I have tried Eros, Hybrids, Only Ref, only FLF, convorts, KJ, and Light tricks combinations, but nothing seems to work as expected.

I usually under volt it, to avoid stressing it too much. But in regular voltage, the improvement is 15% tops.

Does anyone have a good WF for a RTX 4090 with tons of RAM?

Resource - Update I built a free, open-source video studio that runs locally: one idea → storyboard → chained scenes with sound → montage → 4K (H3 / LTX / WAN, 16 GB RTX)

Hi everyone! Full disclosure up front: I'm the author of Remiqora Video, an open-source (GPL-3.0) local video studio for Windows. It's a UI and orchestration layer over existing open models, not a new model. Today I published the first pre-release (v0.1.0).

https://reddit.com/link/1xg8peo/video/ken9w3bwhvxh1/player

The video above is a 33-second reel cut from seven music videos. The music was made with Remiqora, and the video with Remiqora Video.

The problem: current models give you 5–15 s clips. A 1–2 minute film means writing a prompt per scene, keeping the character consistent, starting each scene from the last frame of the previous one, re-rolling bad takes, then stitching and upscaling it all by hand. The app does that loop for you.

Writer and chains. A local LLM (llama.cpp, Gemma 4 E4B by default) splits your idea into scenes in the target model's prompt format. It keeps the hero's description identical in every scene and writes camera, action and dialogue. Every scene stays editable. A continuation starts from the last decoded frame of the previous scene, so there's no visible cut. A new location starts a new chain.

Models. MiniMax H3 (with Ref2VA for faces from photos), LTX 2.5, LTX 2.3, WAN 2.2 5B / FastWan, and Krea 2 for stills. All of them run in one worker that uses ComfyUI's core as a library, with no ComfyUI server. Switching models unloads the old one. Your own LoRAs, fine-tunes and quants work too: drop the .safetensors file into a folder.

Music videos. Give it a song and LTX 2.3 shoots to the track. Scenes are cut on the song's bars, and the characters sing.

Nothing is shot twice. Every scene is cached by everything that defines it. Edit one scene and only that scene, plus its continuations, is re-shot.

Checks instead of watching every draft. Two kinds, both fast measurements in code (plus OpenCV's small YuNet / SFace face models), not an LLM judging the video:

  • Before shooting, every scene the writer produced is checked: Cyrillic in the English prompt, too many actions in one scene, a continuation that moves to another place (that gives an abrupt cut), walking with no direction to the camera (people may walk backwards), a character in the action who isn't in the scene, text or signs in the frame, the clothes changing, adults only. What fails, the writer rewrites once by itself; what still fails gets a warning on the card.
  • After shooting, every new clip is checked in about a second: black frames, frozen video, a jump inside the scene, smear or a sharp change, the face not matching the start frame or photo, and in music videos "not singing" (the lips stand still while the vocals sound). Black, frozen, a jump, a long smear and "not singing" are re-shot once with another seed, and the take with fewer problems goes into the video. Both takes are kept, so you can switch back. The rest is a warning on the card with the exact second, like "In the clip: frozen for 2.5 s".

Full list: The «check» mark

Montage and finish. A timeline with trims, speed, transitions, a beat magnet and LUTs. It exports FCPXML for DaVinci Resolve. The finish goes to 1080p / 4K (NVIDIA RTX Video), HDR10 or 48 fps (RIFE).

Node graph. For branches, alternative endings, short and long cuts from the same scenes. 16 templates.

Requirements and limits:

  • Windows 11 and an NVIDIA RTX card with 16 GB of VRAM. No Linux or AMD yet.
  • Disk space for the weights: about 53 GB for the minimum (H3 and the writer), about 196 GB for everything. The installer downloads only official weights straight from Hugging Face.
  • Rough speed on an RTX 4080 (5 s draft scene, model already loaded): LTX 2.5 ≈ 29 s, LTX 2.3 ≈ 32 s, H3 ≈ 95 s.
  • Early pre-release: expect bugs. The installer isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen will warn you.
  • The UI is in English and Russian.

Repo, installer and docs: https://github.com/inikolax/remiqora-video

It's free and stays free. This took about three months of not sleeping, so if it saves you a few nights, there's a Ko-fi in the repo for a coffee. Or better, a pillow ☕

Feedback welcome.

Question - Help RTX 3090 still good choice for getting started?

I have a 6 year old RTX 3080 and have been playing around in comfyUI. I want to make higher quality photos and videos and also run some local LLM’s but keep reading that my 10GB of vram isn’t enough.

Was thinking of buying a 24GB 3090 on eBay. I know prices have jumped a lot but they’re much cheaper than 4090 or 5090. Also have heard of the modded Chinese GPUs with 48GB of vram or something but that seems kinda sketchy.

Should I pull the trigger on a $1500-1700 used 3090 on eBay?

EDIT: what are your thoughts on buying a 5080 16GB?

Pros: newer and faster GPU / don’t need to worry about old worn out 3090 w/ no warranty

Cons: 16GB vram instead of 24GB

Also would be using the card for a mix of gaming as well

Discussion MOSS is pretty freaking good

This is the first model I've seen with such control over its generation. Mind you, I haven't tried them all, but I'm confident nothing else comes close.

Hats off to the team for their hard work and for open-sourcing it.

-------------------------

Below is an image showcasing the Layout-to-Image generation that drew me in. Essentially, you define regions as objects or text and compose your ideas into a single generation.

It's easy to make modifications for ex, moving, adding, or removing characters, or layering additional concepts within the image, add text with any specific font.

Here I simply moved the characters around, placing the title on the left. It took me just a couple of seconds and changed the composition entirely.

Now, for this particular case, I could probably come close to something like this with four unique generations and overlaying a real text font. But the problem arises from other models when you want interactivity between the characters and the scene.

Here you can see the characters interacting with each other.

I can later add Guts big iconic sword.

All in all, pretty cool.

And, if you guys have other tricks for inpainting or keeping character consistency, I'm all ears.

Claude code + r2v MINIMAX H3 and some loras + casual prompt like "this shit is not good make it better" My goal is make a 2-5 fucking dinamic anime, but i dont like anime

For anyone interested, here's the current workflow I'm using to make this AI anime.

Hardware & Setup

  • RunPod with an RTX 4090 (24GB VRAM)
  • ComfyUI 0.42.0
  • Custom Python automation script (h3_ctrl.py)

1. Character Design & Keyframes

  • Model: Krea 2 Turbo (INT8)
  • Text Encoder: Qwen3VL 4B
  • LoRA: Kegant V5 (1.0) for that dark, mystical anime aesthetic
  • 8–10 steps, CFG 1, Euler/Simple
  • Around 12 seconds per image

I generate character reference sheets and keyframes for each scene, including the starting frame and the exact impact frame.

2. Video Generation

  • Model: MiniMax H3 Hybrid FL2VA + REF2VA (INT8)
  • Text Encoder: Qwen3VL 32B
  • Resolution: 1344×768, 24 FPS
  • Duration: 5 seconds per clip, with generated audio

LoRA stack:

  • Turbo 8-Step (LightX2V): speed and sharpness
  • H3 Combat V2: fighting, impacts and dramatic action
  • BUNNY Motion Repair V2: smoother continuous movement
  • SuperHunman: stronger, more powerful motion
  • Action Speed + Acceleration sliders: both at 3.0

3. The Workflow

I'm using a modified BUNNY two-pass approach:

  • First pass generates the main movement using the LoRA stack.
  • Second pass refines details and impacts.
  • 10 sampling steps + 4 additional steps for motion formation.
  • res_multistep sampler.

Character sheets go into MiniMaxH3ReferenceToVideo, while MiniMaxH3AddGuide anchors the starting frame and impact frame (around frame 72–77).

Prompts are structured into six sections, including detailed character descriptions, continuity constraints, second-by-second action choreography, and sound effects.

4. Connecting Multiple Clips

I'm experimenting with H3 Motion Context by NikoDemon80 to extend scenes beyond 5 seconds.

It takes the last 22 frames of the previous clip as context for the next generation, then removes the overlapping frames when joining everything together.

The goal is longer action sequences with consistent characters and continuous motion.

5. A Few Important Details

  • No custom-trained character LoRAs.
  • I manually check keyframes for costume consistency, enemy counts and character details.
  • No artificial speed-ups or slow-motion effects in editing.
  • H3 generates the audio too.

And yes, Claude is involved in the process, helping orchestrate the workflow and automation.

Still very experimental. Getting consistent, high-speed anime combat is surprisingly difficult, but the results are getting better.

Hope this helps anyone experimenting with H3! 🔥

Discussion Taking an AI Image and bringing it to life...

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

A photograph or still image captures a single instant. I decided to test out Adobe Firefly and create an AI influencer named Rudi Ramba-Zamba from Germany. I was quite happy with the results... but as I mentioned, a still image is just a still image. What if I were to try to bring Rudi to life using Adobe Firefly?

I clicked on the Generate Video portion of Firefly. I uploaded my still image of Rudi and decided to use a very simple prompt.

"This is our new AI Influencer Rudi Ramba-Zamba. Rudi is walking down the street in his German Village and begins dancing.

Do not change his look or style.

Do not change the background.

His dance styles should be fun, slightly odd, and maybe a little clumsy. But he is happy and he loves dancing.

It should be a fun dance that people will want to imitate after seeing him dance."

Nothing fancy... just something enough to bring Rudi to life in a little German village.

I have to say the result was amazing and incredibly realistic. I think I would probably play with the prompt a little more so that there is some action happening in the background.

But overall I am very happy about the output. For me the animation really creates this fun-loving character.

What do you think? Do you have any ideas of how I could make this video more interesting? Or how I could change the prompt?

Curious if you would like to try this as well using Adobe Firefly... If so share your results. I think it would be fun to see what others create.

And here is the link to the Instagram that I am creating....
