Per Title. I have a 17 pro max, and after updating, this doesn’t seem to work. when phone is unlocked, it triggers type to Siri instead, and when I tap the microphone in the search/Siri text box, Siri is not listening. Is it just me?

I just updated to macOS 27.2 and Siri seems to be down for me. Every request results in a "something went wrong" message. Is this happening for anyone else?

Update 1: I ended up investigating some logs and there were some authentication issues. I toggled Private Relay and that did the trick.

After the 20th “unlock your iPhone first” I switched back to regular Siri and now it just dims the volume after saying hey siri like it’s listening then does nothing

The title says it all. I asked a simple question and it says here’s what I found and it doesn’t give me no answer. What kind of crap is this. I’ve updated my phone. I’ve done everything. Apple has told me to do and yet still does this shit. Apple Intelligence is on and more retarded than ever.

“Hey Siri, what time do I have my alarm set for in the morning?”

Siri: “You’ll need to unlock your iPhone first.”

Apple is seriously dropping the ball on Siri. I used to be able to tell Siri to call someone on speakerphone and now it’s a flip of the coin on if it will do it or not. I feel like it has told me I need to unlock my phone first, but more commonly it will then repeat the command to me and ask me if I’m ready to do it.

I know this is just confirming my command, but it’s really inconvenient when I used to be able to tell it who to call on speakerphone and then it immediately would.

Today, I had planned to go to Spirit Halloween this morning before work. I had told Siri, the location shown to me on screen (Carplay) and hit ‘Go’/Accept and assumed it was set. To my surprise, Siri had assumed that I wanted to go straight to work. After I park, I double check my Maps and lo and behold Maps even shows this as a ‘recent location’.

I have been using Apple only for the last 30years. With the shifts in technology and Apply falling so far behind and the need for its eco system becoming superseded as I now just build by own ecosystems that actually work the way I want with Ai, my reliance is moving away fast.

I fear there time is coming.

It is only a day after release day but you think Apple would want their AI to know what phones they are coming out with.

She turned off my ecobee (AC) instead.

Updated my iPhone Air to iOS 27.2, and Siri is back to the old version.

Siri language is set to American English. Phone too.

There's no button anywhere to sign up for Apple Intelligence. I searched "AI" and "Apple Intelligence" and got nothing.

It's the old Siri with the glowing ball, not the rainbow one.

Stuff I've tried:

- Opening it through the Siri app (still installed). It just saysit's not available; check settings.

- Turning Siri off and on. Same with the phone.

- Switching the language and switching it back.

Has anyone hit this? Got a fix?

I find it somewhat incomprehensible that Apple would design the new Siri so you can’t copy and paste individual parts of text out of the UI. Not only that, 1/2 the time you can’t paste stuff in there either.
Can’t copy links etc. Dumb on another level.

Any fix for this coming?

i recently updated and now i suddenly have the old dumb siri, fyi i’m on the iphone 16 pro max, can anybody help?

Worst part is that 90% of the time I say “duo” on my Apple TV or the phone, Siri understands “12” …

Restart after running it. Can anyone confirm that Siri then only uses the cloud model (Private Cloud Compute) instead of the on-device one? It feels smarter for me.

it activates 3 times out of 10...

I have done and redone all the known procedures several times..
I have contacted APPLE several times..
but the problem persists.

Does anyone have a definitive solution to the problem?

Ever since updating to 27.0.1 on my iPhone 13 Mini last week, Siri stopped giving a vocal confirmation upon me saying "Hey Siri, set a Timer for X minutes."

Same with when asking "Hey Siri, how much time is left?"

Only the phone screen lights up showing the Timer on the Lock Screen, but no vocalization. Siri still vocalizes for when asking what the time is.

Anyone else experiencing this?
