Solo Traveller here. I’m in the United States for the first time and will be in Santa Barbara around Halloween - I’m looking for activities to party and meet other people.
So I stumbled across the Pub Crawls but cannot decide if it is a fit for me.
One is called “Zombie Crawl” by EOS, the other one just “Halloween Bar Crawl”.
Has anyone experience with the organizers or has even participated once?

I was walking on Obern Trail and while approaching the bridge that connects to Patterson/Shoreline, I heard a deep, guttural growl coming from nearby. I couldn't see what was making the sound and while I stood there frozen, I heard it again and this time it was longer and deeper., It was unsettling enough that I rushed to the bridge and get on to Patterson Ave.

I'm wondering whether it could have been a mountain lion, bobcat, or something else. Also wanted to give others a heads-up.

Is there anywhere to camp near the Gaviota Wind Caves and hot spring this time of year? My kid and I like to backpack and tent camp.

I do see the state park is closed for camping this season, and I understand that there is no backcountry camping allowed in the state park. I don't see any registered sites in Los Padres in that area, but maybe there are unofficial sites.

I'm visiting Santa Barbara with my parents next weekend (in their 60s). I know there are tons of bars/wineries/breweries in the area. Are there any places that have non-alchoholic beers or wines? I've noticed most breweries around me keep an N/A beer in stock so I'm hoping SB will have a few places as well.
I'd also love to hear what other recommendations you have for must-dos while we're in town!

E-bike stolen in front of CVS at turnpike/hollister.

Sadly I failed to lock it but disabled the battery. They must have moved quick as I was inside for about 3-4 minutes. They pushed it to the back and must have loaded it into a truck or disappeared in the neighborhood. I found my helmet and a few contents behind the businesses.

In case anyone sees this pop up for sale I’m posting a picture - it was a heavily modified rad power bike and wish the new owners good luck with it 🤷🏼‍♂️
