I have Safari synced through iCloud across my iMac, iPhone, iPads and MacBook. The contents of the Reading List is the same.. so I know everything is syncing. However, the sort order of the Reading List on the iMac, iPads MacBook are identical but the iPhone is sorted differently.

For instance, today I added half a dozen items to the Reading List while on my iPhone. All of these items are synced to the other devices but while the iPhone has them as the most recent items they are literally scattered in what seems to be random order on the other devices.

It seems all but the iPhone keep the content as well as the order exactly the same.. the iPhone has a mind of its' own. I know there is not Sort By command for the Reading List but curious why the pattern I have is what it is...

Hello, I'm new to using wBlock. It's working great so far, however, whenever I'm in a separate tab, or open another application while watching YouTube, after about a minute the video freezes for a second and the quality drops. I have to fix the quality every time. I tried looking through the settings and I have no clue what would be causing this. Any help?

Has anyone had issue with all the Safari wallpapers not being available?

I'm on 26.7.1 and running Safari 27.0 and my Bookmarks dropdown no longer shows when I click it. I don't think I changed anything that would affect this, but I guess I can't be 100%. To my knowledge, it just started happening out of nowhere. Anyone else have this issue?

Forgive me if this is a silly question, my knowledge/usage of the iPhone is pretty basic.

My vision is not that great anymore and when it’s not convenient to go get my glasses or to wear them, and if I’m on Safari webpages, I just switch over to the “Reader” feature within Safari and also increase the font size by clicking on the larger letter A that would pop up, I think, right after switching to Reader. The steps I used to go through have changed now. I think it was when I updated software to iOS 27. Now instead of a blue button at the bottom of the menu, there’s some text at the top of the menu for switching to Reader. That’s fine, no problem there, but now the two capital A’s for font size don’t appear and I can’t find them anywhere. Is that option still available without going through a lot of steps? Can’t find anything online about this. Does anybody have any info on this?

I'm the developer. Safari keeps every open tab running, with its scripts, video and connections, even the ones you haven't looked at in days. Tab Suspender puts those to sleep, so they stop eating memory and battery.

Some of you may remember it from 2020, when it was Mac only. Safari changed a lot over the next few years, and keeping up with it on my own became impossible, so I took it down.

It's back, rewritten from scratch. It frees more memory than before, it's faster, and it now runs on iPhone and iPad too.

• Tabs you haven't used for a while go to sleep on their own, after anything from a minute to eight hours
• A sleeping tab keeps its address, title and icon, and comes back at the same scroll position when you click it

Everytime I'm creating an account on any website, it'll just force enter a random generated password before I can even type. Then I have to spam click it a couple times to get the option to write my own.

Every. Single. Time.

It is fucking annoying.

I've looked around on the internet and can't find any solutions? I don't want to remove suggested pre-existing passwords and passkeys that can be auto filled. I just want them to stop fucking shoving their stupid "strong" passwords down my throat before I can even type anything.

I like to download fonts for Phonto, but there's no download button anymore for some reason. The thing I downloaded also doesn't show up in files when they normally do.

I've tried changing several settings, but to no avail. Can someone help me? Thank you

Keep getting these blank pages where only the video will show or I will get a no internet screen with the video audio playing in the background. Been happening for a week now on golden gate. ive tried changing all the privacy settings and turning off my adguard but still happens

I'm getting really tired of this issue with Safari.

Every single day, sometimes multiple times a day, videos suddenly stop loading on YouTube, X, Instagram, and other video streaming platforms.

On YouTube, I get the infamous: "An error occurred. Please try again later. (Playback ID: ...)".

Once this happens, refreshing the page doesn't help. The only workaround I've found is to:

- Open Activity Monitor.
- Force quit the Safari Graphics and Media process.
- Reload the page.

And voilà, videos start playing normally again. Until the next time it happens.

This has been going on for months, across multiple Safari/macOS updates. Meanwhile, the same videos work perfectly fine in Chrome (and no, switching to Chrome is not a solution).

I've already tried disabling extensions and using Private Browsing, but neither makes any difference.

It's incredibly frustrating that something as basic as video playback keeps breaking in Apple's own browser, especially when the issue seems to be related to Safari's media process.

I'm starting to wonder if Apple's own developers even use Safari as their daily browser, because I can't possibly be the only one experiencing this.

Has anyone found a permanent fix, or are we just supposed to keep killing Safari Graphics and Media several times a day?

As I use safari as my daily browser, I want Ambient Light for YouTube for safari...... Could someone please build something like this or the developer can consider making it for safari as well. 😭😭

I see the large thumbnails as a huge privacy fail, as a person next to user just have to peek. I don’t see a really use for the topics section and for me is a privacy fail for the same reasons above. I tried ai for a answer but the steps it showed me didn’t work at all. Anyone?

It's a buggy mess, and slow.

I really want to be able to use it. I used it for decades, then had to switch to Firefox because of the appalling UI changes where every button/tab is a lozenge etc. Then when Golden Gate came along, I tried to use it again. But I can't.

It doesn't work properly here on Reddit. It seems to be getting stuck with some sites, saying they aren't HTTPS when they are. There's a constantly floating Siri box on sites. And it's just slow. You don't realise how slow and laggy it is until you switch to a different browser.

I just miss Apple Pay as an option. I wish that Apple could find a way to properly implement that in third-party browsers. I realise there's a partial implementation, but no sites use it.

I really like Safari because its macOS native and power efficient, but ever since I tried the Arc browser I found myself really missing their Peek feature. For those who haven't used Arc: hold Shift and click a link, and Peek opens it in a small floating window, so you can preview it without opening a new tab and cluttering your tab bar. It's perfect for quick reads, checking a reference, or just seeing if a link is actually what you're looking for.

I wanted that exact same workflow in Safari, so I spent some free time building an extension to replicate it. It's called Peek for Safari.

I’m not sure if I’m doing it wrong. Notify me functionality has never worked for me.

I’ve set it to notify me when size XS for that jacket comes back in stock.

However I get “change is detected” and when I click on it, the same item is still out of stock in size XS.

So is it understanding my request or just notifying me of any change?
