Play a game with me.
If I go to Broadway Oyster Bar, I always order the Voodoo Shrimp Po’boy.
If I go to Twisted Tree, I always order the lobster bisque.
If I go to Joey B’s, I always order the meatball sandwich.
If I go to Grace’s Chicken n Fish, I always order the Filet O Grace.
This is not just about the restaurants you like but the menu item you go back to again and again.
What you got???

Hi all, I'm Jordan, the owner here at PiFi (4916 Shaw Ave). We just opened this week for takeout and delivery and wanted to drop a line to let locals know about the new spot in town.
A little about our pizza, we serve Neapolitan inspired pizza. So think Neapolitan crust with a crispy center. We make our ingredients in house, and offer a few new ideas for pizza flavors. For example the 'Pec on the Cheek' which is designed to cross carbonara with pizza, the 'Spicy Olive' is topped with smoked olives marinated in chili oil and finished with romesco sauce. We offer classic red sauce, white sauce, pesto, and romesco.
This week is pizza only, next week we will open the full menu for takeout and delivery. Nov. 14th we are planning to have our grand opening and offer our dining area which acts as a hi-fi listening bar serving innovative cocktails, beer, and wine.
Order at PIFISTL.COM or find us on doordash. Follow us on INSTAGRAM for new promotions. we can't wait to show you what we're cooking up!

Does anyone have suggestions on farms or live poultry stores around STL where I can purchase a fresh turkey for Thanksgiving ?

I’ve never been a fan of bacon on pizza, but I’ve noticed that in St. Louis, entire strips of bacon are used instead of bacon bits, which is way better. And something about the smokiness of the bacon works with the smokiness of the Provel in a way I didn’t expect.
Imo’s (pictured) was one of my least favorite STL-style pizza spots, but with bacon and pepperoni I enjoyed it.

I’m a big fan of Civil Life’s Wagyu Wednesday and Felix’s has a great wing deal Wed/Thurs. Any other local weekday specials to try?

I’m heading to STL for a few days and would love some local recommendations. Last time I visited, I was with a group of folks - thus having less control over the food. We ate at Katie’s, some bbq place I have forgotten, and an Oyster Bar.
No complaints really, but as I’m traveling solo this time around I’m hoping to get more… local and interesting. Open to all ideas, but I’m not made of money so bear that in mind please.
Also! Im staying near the convention center, so recs for that area of town would be greatly appreciated!
I’m looking forward to all the fun eating!

Originally from the area and lived downtown throughout my 20s. I went away to NYC and Memphis and managed to accrue some decent work experience and build a very solid/diverse resume’ in the food industry.
Now that I’m back in STL I’m feeling pretty lucky to see such a thriving food scene throughout the city. It looks like I can even be kinda particular and choosy about where I work.
So this leads to my inquiry… anyone know of anybody looking for qualified chefs in or around STL? I’m very open to any sort of opportunity (catering, dine-in, bakery etc.) but my forte’ is definitely pizza making (wood fired/Neapolitan.)

Hello! I am coming to Saint Louis for the second this this weekend and I heard you have to go to one of the “on the hill” restaurants. I’m wondering if anyone could tell me which the best one is? Thanks so much

It's been a few years since we've been out for Korean BBQ and we're looking at taking my Father in Law, who lived in Korea as a teen, out for his 70th birthday.
What's the current best Korean options?

Not looking for where you can order one for breakfast at a restaurant. I want to know where I can buy St. Louis’s best English muffin. Thanks!

I have a couple places that I like that do DoorDash / Uber Eats. I enjoy Mai Lee, Basil India, Pizza de Gloria, Cafe Mochi, PokeDoke, Balkan Treat Box, Pizza Head, and Nudo House. But I was wondering if anyone had some other ideas of food that they like (MUST BE DELIVERY) and their orders so I can try them out and report back! I’m basically willing to try anything. Thanks!! :)

Crossposting here as I didn't know there was a subreddit for food questions before posting to St Louis sub.

I loooove session taco - especially their fish tacos and street corn. But now that they’re closing, what’s similar?

Does anyone have any good recommendations for traditional Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant for a group of 6 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from 6 to 14? I saw Capital Grille recommended on another thread but am just looking for a few other options.
Edit: Thanks everyone for your suggestions!

The Bottleworks used to have a good one but it’s been off the menu for years. Any other suggestions?

Is there a place where a group of friends can go to eat amazing food and just chat for hours? Not looking for fast service at all, I don’t mind waiting an hour for food but it has to be amazing.
We like to chat and drink while we wait for food. I don’t want to feel pressured to leave. Any price range. We like steak but not married to the idea.

With Session Taco closing, what are your favorite late night food spots in St. Louis City. Bonus points if there’s anything healthy on the menu.

Hi, does anybody know where to find ube desserts and drinks in STL? I know of Fattened Cafe and Tours Les Jours.
I want to try more ube desserts, as I’ve enjoyed the few I’ve had! I would appreciate any suggestions!
Thank you!
