general Biologic / pregnancy?
I’m so torn! 27F, I had my first daughter September 2025, shortly after I broke out in horrible
Guttate psoriasis, everywhere ! I’ve always had random spots of plaque psoriasis, but the guttate was terrible. It took months for insurance and the pharmacy and the dermatologist to get things in order but I’ve been on Tremfya for 7 months now, clear besides a few very minor spots. But I’m starting to want another baby, so badly. I want to have 1 more and then tubes tied. But my dermatologist said to let her know when I plan to start trying so I can pause the Tremfya. I so badly want another baby but I so badly do not want to suffer In my own skin again. Anyone have experience stopping it for pregnancy? Did it return with a vengeance? In no way shape or form do I want to risk harming a future baby, so I’d stop if it did happen. But I’m torn between being 1 and done for the sake of my mental health due to how bad the psoriasis got, or risking it for another. I’m so scared it’ll come back full force and/or I’ll have difficulty starting the medication again (insurance wise) after giving birth if I do go forward with that choice of trying and pregnancy.

general Psoriasis to Fungal Infection
Is it possible for psoriasis to “heal” but then develop into a fungal infection?
Last summer I got a really bad flare, we determined it was due to my dosage of my anti-depressant so we lowered it and it actually went away.
Well everywhere but my armpits. But it doesn’t look like the psoriasis I had before, and it itches like crazy and it smells like bread. My dermatologist swears it’s still psoriasis but I think otherwise because it just looks and feels so different.
Is this normal?

general Question
Hey all, I am 21 y/o male from America. Since October of 2024, I have experienced redness and extreme dryness strictly on my palms (knuckles sometimes) and soles of my feet. I still haven't gotten a biopsy (I know I should), and declined acitretin when my derm recommended due to the invasiveness and mysymptoms being bearable. I tried Clobetasol briefly but to no avail. Through years of research and multiple dermatologists, I have determined that I must have PRP, PPK, or psoriasis. I know that nobody here can give me a diagnosis, but I am wondering is if there is anyone out there who has just experienced palmoplantar psoriasis, and moreover if they have had redness on their palms and feet. One last thing--in the summer my feet got much better, but as the weather is getting cooler/drier, it is flaring up again, so I wonder if anyone else experiences this. Any opinions, recommendations, or thoughts are welcome. Thank you and God bless.

medications How long did it take to go from being prescribed to taking the biologic?
Obviously aware insurances differ and stuff.
Currently failed out of Icotyde (less failed, and more if a week lapse due to insurance issues sends me back to 100% psoriasis intensity, I’d rather something longer lasting in my system).
Their office is going to submit the prescription to insurance today, so what timeline did you guys experience?

medications Enstilar foam for nails
Husband is due to start treatment for psoriasis of the toenail which is pretty bad. He's waiting to see a dermatologist but in the meantime they've told the GP to start enstilar foam and adex gel, with lots of instruction on which for which days and how many days etc.
Has anyone used this and had success? His nails are peeling off, deeply lined and pitted and have been for a decade but the good old NHS didn't care. Fungal nail was ruled out, he has psoriasis and PsA in at least one finger and is awaiting steroid injection for that.
Also has hEDS and friends

newly diagnosed Best Dry Scalp Psoriasis Options?
Hi all! I've just got the diagnosis after years of back and forth on the type of psoriasis and my derm and geneticist is calling it "Isolated Acute Multi-site Combination Plaque and Inverse Psoriasis" ... which from what I understand, is a formal way of saying "get ready to buy a lot of products" ... so I want to start with what seems to be the hardest to find for this specific type.
Shampoo and products for the dry scalp/plaque psoriasis? I've tried the rosemary and mint, the head and shoulders dandruff, the salicylic acid and zinc and I'm still snowing ... when I've tried more moisturizing shampoos, it flairs the psoriasis into oily-scaly build up that's hard to get up without inflaming or bleeding? Coal-tar, even with only once a week use, made the flaking worse.
My dermatologist doesn't want to try steroids since the areas aren't spreading and neither do I, I have to take them enough due to a back injury. He wants to try light and photo therapy which I'm open to.
I am open to any and all suggestions or tips, please and thank <3

medications GPP
Any GPP diagnosed people here? Been struggling with aggressive pustular psoriasis, but recently they have changed the diagnosis to GPP as none of the treatments worked (methotrexate, ustekinumab, bimzelx).
I will be starting a treatment with Spesolimab soon.

medications Pills or injections for Down syndrome?
I have an 18 year old with Down syndrome who will soon be starting biologics for psoriasis.
My first instinct was to go injections because it’s less often and he does okay with blood draws but I’m scared he’ll start refusing to let me do them.
He does fine taking pills daily- thyroid and supplements. But I’ve read the side effects are mire common with pills.
Any pros/cons or parents who have been through similar who can give advice?
(The derm said it’s up to us and whatever we’re most comfortable with.)

general Anyone with a dx of HS in a ddition to Psoriasis?
Over the past month or so I have been battling some red angry sores under my arms (in the arm pit and where my bra band rubs). I have had these pop up occasionally in the past but it has always been one at a time and I just always assume it was either body acne or an ingrown hair. The difference is now I have multiple spots under each arm and they are painful. I have mild scalp psoriasis and occasional flares of nail psoriasis and dont see the dermatologist until February. I am also under the care of a Rheumatologist exploring a PsA dx whom I see again in December.
Tbh the pics I have seen of earlyish HS look just like what I have and since it is an inflammatory skin condition it kind of seems logical it could overlap with Psoriasis and other AI diseases. Just wondering if anyone is dealing with both chronic conditions and if they were prescribed biologics that could treat both?

medications Suggestions on what to ask about when I see my dermatologist
My psoriasis is on my hairline (cradle cap area), ears, including inner ears where I can’t reach, and behind them, a large plaque on either side of my head. Occasionally I get it on my elbows and knuckles too, but that’s where it mostly is. So, given that, topicals are kind of difficult for me.
As far as quality of life, it’s pretty severe. The flaking is extremely bad and not responsive to anything otc. It’s hard for me to be seen as a professional because of it.
So, I’ve been researching medications. I don’t really care which biologic I’d get assigned if they chose that, but I am also open to doing methotextrate injections and a foam that can go on my scalp.
The ear psoriasis does end up with intermittent hearing loss that’s hard to deal with.
What should I ask the dermatologist about/suggest? What should I be open to? I really really really want the severe embarrasing flakes to go away.

general Approved for Icotyde patient access program
I've been using topical steroids for almost 20 years, never took anything else. Honestly was a little afraid to take anything else, tried all the natural diet stuff, AIP, Carnivore diet etc, it definitely did something but my case is pretty severe, scalp, face, body etc and I was never able to completely make it go away. My dermatologist suggested Skyrizi first but I went home and did some research and decided to try Icotyde instead, mostly the idea that it breaks down easily into simple amino acids and is completely removed from your body within 10 days was a selling point for me. First I got some free samples and it worked amazingly, literally noticed the effects immediately after a day or 2 my face was clear. Unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover it, but I was able to apply for the patient access program directly from Johnson & Johnson and was approved. They're giving it to me for free for 3 years, got my first shipment in the mail today. I'm so happy, it's literally been life changing. Just wanted to share this story with anyone who was considering it.
