This band was so fantastic...they were kind of too late to the party for this particular style of Post-Hardcore which is why I think they went extremely under the radar unfortunately. Amazing band though.

I started listening to This Armistice like start of 2025 and i saw they’ve been going up in numbers slowly on Spotify from 30k-100k. It’s so cool seeing them being appreciated and because of this traction they’ve received they started being more active on Instagram and TikTok.
For the longest time i thought they were so underrated so it’s cool seeing them finally gain the traction they deserve. It might just be me but i feel like they’re new album though especially the remaster has none of the elements that New Breath + New Heartbeat = Change has. Anyways i just wanted to talk and post about my favorite band oat especially since all the threads on here about This Armistice is either the song from TREOS or like 14y old.

Yo!
Basically title, but let me expand a bit. I'm looking for bands under the post-hardcore umbrella that have common DNA with hard rock and similar styles. Some examples I have are:
- Hot Water Music
This is my prime example. Vocals are straight out of a hard rock band, riffs are pretty different from what I'd expect, but still undeniably post-hardcore. Reminds me of the bands I'd hear on the radio as a kid.
- Thrice
Mainly the album "The Artist in the Ambulance" for this post. Love the sound of this record, and there are lots of interesting moments that kinda hang back before diving into the driving hooks.
- Silverstein
These guys openly admitted to copying Hot Water Music at points, but they put their own spin on it that I really appreciate. I'm actually spinning them as I write this.
Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing ideas!

Imagine if Shotmaker and Drive Like Jehu had a baby, raised on the recording quality available to underground bands today. This album has floored me listen after listen after listen.
They attack the emo/post-hardcore world head-on, sounding like complete veterans in the space while creating something undoubtedly their own.
I’ve never claimed to be a reviewer, and frankly I don’t know how to put into words how influential this album has been on me over the past year. Just go check it out — you will not be disappointed.

hey guys, I have a question for all my guitar buds on this thread. recently heard Alexisonfire’s cover of Misogyny and was wonder what the tone is. it’s definitely a different sound than they normally have for the guitars. maybe like a big muff with an HM2 or something???
much love

Lonely music listener here: Made a playlist of my favorite tracks off various groups from different scenes and generations of emo and post-hardcore. Hope I can relate to some people in this subreddit!

Been really stuck on this song. I was shocked to find out they are really young. There is a live performance from 2025. Coincidently, they uploaded this just two days ago. Figured I'd share it. :)
