Hi All,
Please use this post to discuss your scores on the October 2026 PSAT. Official score release dates can be found on the following page: https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/k12-educators/educator-experience/in-school/after-test-day/scores

If the rampant attempts to solicit or offer cheating help do not stop, I will temporarily shut down all new posts in the community.
You may discuss the exam you took in the official thread subject to r/PSAT rules and may ask for general advice but not about specific questions or vocabulary words that appeared on a test form.

If I got a 670 on the Reading and Writing portion, does this mean all the questions I got wrong were Standard English Convention questions?
r/psat • u/FamiliarCrew1757 • 4h ago
Reading & Writing
Module 1: 2-3 wrong
Module 2: 4-7 wrong (3 hard main idea + 1 vocab + idk the rest)
Math
Module 1: 0 wrong
Module 2: 2-3 wrong (last 2 hard problems + possibly 1 medium problem)
What score do you predict I’ll get in each section and overall?

Hi, sophomore here. I'm getting mixed responses from everyone I know as to if I should take the PSAT sophomore or junior year. I was wondering if anyone on here has some experience that they'd be willing to share!

Especially in regards to RW, how difficult do you think this October PSAT was compared to the eleventh SAT test? Additionally, how do you think it compared to last year’s PSAT?

I see a lot of people talking about how hard last year's PSAT was, but when I took it last year I don't remember feeling like it was very difficult and I ended up scoring a 1480 with minimal studying. A couple weeks before this year's PSAT (I am a junior this year) I took another practice test and scored a 1490. However, I was feeling very nervous and the day before the PSAT I took a practice test and only scored a 1430. On test day, I remember feeling like the reading section was exceptionally difficult, and I even cried during the break in between reading and math. I know it is impossible to tell now, but how much do you guys think nerves can affect scores, and do I have a shot for nmsqt? I do live in a state where the cutoff is generally pretty low (210 for class of 2027). Please do not sugarcoat; I genuinely want to hear answers. My scores come out on November 5th, but every time I think about score releases I get very nauseous.

has anyone seen scores that are/aren't in the greater than 99th percentile range? my score on practice test 3 was a 1460 and ive seen people say that p3 was the closest to the real test, would a 1460 count for nms semifinalist in tx do you think

So i recently submitted my application to be a national merit finalist, and my sat score is good, so I'll most likely be a finalist. Money is really important for college, and since I'm premed I also don't want to spent alot. I get a full ride and acceptance into the USF honors college, but I also get full tuition (not housing, or food, etc) from NJIT. I'm not sure which one is better for premed, and I hopefully want to go to NJMS so would I be hurting my chances by going to USF out of state?

I am looking for advice on how to approach each kind of question.
There are 4 types; CSE, information of ideas, expression of ideas, and craft and structure.
I am close to my state index; off by 6 questions. I think I just need advice on how to approach the questions

For context, it's my first year in the US, and my home country's education system taught Math very differently from how it's taught here. There have also been several years throughout my life in which I didn't receive any formal education. So when I took the PSAT 8/9, there were a lot of questions about things I've literally never heard of.
Basically, my problem is that I just don't know what I should be learning/studying, because you don't known what you don't know.

Are paper practice tests good predictors of digital PSAT scores. I am unable to take Bluebook practice tests since I only have a Chromebook and cannot access Bluebook on it.

So for some reason my school made the freshmen take the psat 8/9, but is there any point of getting good marks? Also my friends say that they’re taking the SAT for freshman year, is there any point to do that?

Took the exam last year and currently scared that I'll do worse because I left a question blank in the math module

I take my PSAT on Thursday and am wondering what to spend my time studying on. My state's cutoff score for c/o 2027 was a 211 (so pretty low), and my index score for the past two PSAT practice exams have been a 216 then a 219 today. How did others feel about the exam compared to Practice 3??
