My original DS battery light looks like it's at a rave sometimes. I'm guessing it needs a battery replacement. Would I be correct in this guess?

Edited to add: it turned green for a bit, but when I picked it up with my left hand (pressure on the battery), it turned red. Looks like I'm ordering a battery sooner rather than later

After my previous post where I finally put my DS Lite back together after 10+ years of sitting in pieces, I discovered, to no great surprise, that the aftermarket battery I had in it was shot, and I'd lost the proprietary charger...

I was hesitant to go and buy yet another aftermarket battery specifically made for the console as there's just no reputable sources to buy them from. They all massively exaggerate their capacity to a comical level, and have likely been sitting on a shelf for years.

So I set out to find a generic replacement battery that would fit inside the battery compartment of the DS Lite. After measuring up the compartment and using a bit of AI help, I found that the 703048 cell will fit the best. It's a hair thicker than the stock battery, and it's not quite as wide as the compartment, but it works great!

So ive recently been trying to get back into playing some ds games after modding my 3DS and I've been having fun reliving odd gems like Dragon quest heroes rocket slime but it got me wondering. What are some other awesome nice games I might have missed in my adolescence that I'd enjoy today? Do you guys have any recommendations on some non super popular titles to play? If you're favorite is still a big name im glad to take it as maybe its not one ive played yet but I am specifically looking for niche titles that went under appreciated

I have a sneaking suspicion it’s a loose wire but I want to be sure first before I go digging around in the ds. It does this on a charge so I don’t think it’s the battery.

So I'm currently trying to get cases for my handhelds and for my DS' I want the cases to be coloured matched and I found a case made by Gameron which looks good but one of my requirements for handheld cases is to have some kind of storage for games or other things.

So does this Gameron lime green case have either game card slots or nets for other things.

I don’t exactly know what happened to my DS Lite shoulder button. Last week it was normal but now it sticks out a little bit and I can’t press it. I tried pushing it back down or moving it even a little but it’s completely stuck and sticks out way more than usual. I just had it in my pocket but I do that all the time and can’t explain how it ended up like this.

Been using my DS to listen to music lately and honestly I love it.

Got a non-working DS lite with intentions to fix and reshell, but for the life of me I can’t figure out what’s wrong with the system.
Errors from start to end, as the problem has morphed a bit:
1. unit won’t turn on, nothing happens when power switch flipped. When putting charger in slot I get a brief red led and then nothing. Opened it up and checked the L2 and L1 fuses, both good. Found some light corrosion on the board and cleaned it up with alcohol. Also checked the EM10 relay and continuity confirmed.
2. Put it back together enough to check it (screens connected, bottom screen protected from shorting, etc.) and charging light stayed on & screens turned on, with the top screen having a small pulse to it. That worked for a few minutes and then it reverted back to the initial problem of no screens, no flickering, no charging light other than the brief red when plugging in the charger. Checked fuses again to make sure nothing blew, and have troubleshot everything I can think of following google directions.
3. Back to square 1, can’t get power on or charging indicator light.

Pics for reference, any troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated. I just did a good thorough cleaning with alcohol to eliminate any lingering corrosion, hopefully that helps.

I found my old DS Lite, but it is on a very bad condition, I don't have the charger so I'm not sure if it even starts

Hi everyone! I have an original Nintendo 2DS (not a New 3DS or New 2DS XL) on system version 9.5.0-23U.

1. Is Moonlight-3DS compatible with the original 2DS, on this version or any other? I've read that it relies on the New 3DS hardware H.264 decoder, so I'm not sure the original model can run it at all.
2. If it does work, can I stream anything from my PC to the screens (video files, my desktop, etc.), or is it limited to games? I'd love to use the 2DS as a small extra display.

Got this for 80 bucks, The screens on this thing are beautiful I enjoy more than my n3dsxl. The squishy buttons are also my preference this is a great console. Any game recs?

You can play Gen 1-5 on this amazing console shame about the battery life though it really isn’t great

Honestly it's interesting but I never thought of this and GameRant clearly wants their money.

My wife put a plate of dinner on my Nintendo DS lite yesterday. It was closed, but I was still very angry with her, I still am. You just don't do that kind of thing, every real gamer knows that. Even the word DIVORCE popped up in my head.

This is for a DS Lite and i've been in the process of reshelling. First time doing this, but I at least know what I did wrong, already ordered a new screen as well.
