Mod Weekly thread where you can call the music recognition bots without posting

To use the bots put u/RecognizeSong u/find-song with the link in your comment, like:

u/RecognizeSong u/find-song https://youtu.be/12345abcde

Notes:

  • The bots only work with a recording of the actual song, not a humming/recreation.
  • The sites that find-song works with: Reddit video posts (with a link or when summoned on the original post), YouTube, Vocaroo, Streamable, Twitch Clips (not VODs)
  • Some of the sites that RecognizeSong works with: Reddit video posts (when summoned on the original post or with an audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4), YouTube (though sometimes it doesn't work), Vocaroo, Streamable, Imgur, Twitch Clips (not VODs), Facebook, Twitter, Coub, Dropbox, Snapchat
  • For Reddit video posts there's also u/songfinderbot which only works if you summon it in a top-level comment on the original post
  • Some sites that RecognizeSong doesn't work with: Instagram, Twitch VODs, SoundCloud, Google Drive, Reddit text posts with embedded videos (though it does work with the audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4)
  • When needed, mention a timestamp or use a timestamped link if possible (the bots scan about 24-30 seconds of audio, starting at the timestamp)
  • If the song is from a meme or from TikTok then it might be listed in the FAQ
  • Note that you can also DM find-song a link (but not through chat)

Good luck with your search, and if you find the bots useful please consider supporting them: RecognizeSong through Patreon, find-song through Ko-fi

The videos are from Qifutea on instagram, the song is a pretty cool one in mandarin or something, but I couldn’t get Shazam or any other song identifiers to find it.

Electronic/EDM Italian big EDM track from a few years ago

• Upvotes

It was playing everywhere. There is someone riding a scooter in the music video I think. I think it might be a sample from an older song.

J-Pop/J-Rock Help finding this independent Japanese singer MV song

• Upvotes

I don't remember much of the song, but what I do remember is that in most of the music video there was this satisfying water flowing noise throughout the entire video. It felt physically refreshing and sounded asmr like almost even. There may have been a white haired anime girl singing the song in the video but that could be wrong. The background of the music video was maybe at a shrine of some sort, or not maybe. She was a pretty unknown singer without too much subscribers I think like 10k - 70k maybe.

Electronic/EDM Unidentified synthpop/Indietronica song, nicknamed "Can We Change"

Disclaimer: I am not the original poster of this song, but I'm asking about it here because I really enjoy it and would like to hear more of the band's work

This song originates from a mixtape recorded from Lima-based radio station Radio Doble Nueve, specifecly the DJRelax-run El Laboratorio de Relax, most likely sometime around the late 2000s, this being one of the tracks the OP, SicksadworldLA, was unable to identify, and it is the last unknown track left. If it helps at all, the other songs range from 2004-2008, so the song is most likely from then. The tracklist consists of:

  1. Lorraine/Blackroom - Italian Girlfriend (2006)
  2. The Projects - Voice is Glue (2007)
  3. Fake Fang - Machine is On (2007)
  4. Battant - Miss Betty (2005)
  5. Plastic Passion - It's Been Done (2008)
  6. Neil's Children - Another Day (2007)
  7. This song
  8. The New Sins - The New Sins (2008)
  9. Neil's Children - Something You Said (2007)
  10. The Open - Get Away (2004)
  11. Deep Cut - Commodity (Alternate Version) (2007)

If this helps at all, as far as I'm aware, almost all of these songs are from the UK. The only exception is Italian Girlfriend, with Lorraine/Blackroom being Norwegian. If you recognize this track, thanks in advance :)

Hip Hop Hip hop songs early 2000’s

Jay-Z was announced as the Super Bowl half time and my husband and I were talking about songs from that era AND NO ONE KNOWS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT. I’ve been through many sources and can not find it. It’s a hip hop song from early 2000’s ish. And it’s a hard beat and from what I can remember it’s “ and I’m all right, and I’m all right” but to be fair that may not be the lyrics but something similar. Pls help my brain hurts

Bonjour à tous ! J'ai trouvé cet extrait musical mais impossible de le retrouver sur Shazam ou de mettre la main sur l'artiste. La chanson commence par ces paroles : "I wake up in the morning and I hold myself to another plan..."
Est-ce que l'un d'entre vous reconnait la voix ou le titre de ce morceau ? Merci d'avance pour votre aide !

Hi everyone! I've been searching everywhere for this track and trying to find the artist to support them, but I'm having no luck with Shazam or web searches. The lyrics in the clip start with: "I wake up in the morning and I hold myself to another plan..."
Does anyone know the artist or the title of this song? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

R&B Lyrics: "I still call you through the night... just your shadow" | Japanese/English R&B song by a male singer

Genre/Style: Japanese / English R&B (Smooth, Chill)
Artist: Male singer
Language: English and Japanese mix
Lyrics heard in clip:
"I still call you through the night..."
"...just your shadow..."

I recorded a short clip from a thread video where this song plays in the background. Shazam couldn't identify it, so it might be an unreleased track, an indie song, or a social media audio snippet. Attached is the video audio clip. Any help identifying this song/artist would be greatly appreciated!

I found this edit on Facebook of Arcane: League of Legends with a very unique song, and I have spent the last 5 hours trying my best to find it, with absolutely no luck.

I have tried several audio finders on the web, AI, and basic Spotify searching, but haven't found anything, so I'm turning to the community for help on this!

From what I was able to hear, I believe the lyrics go something like this.

..our favourite song,

Pretending that this is where you used to belong,

Yeah, I keep the volume up so I can hear the dial,

hoping your echo will never fade out.

There's a picture attached..."
