Look... peeps are still getting arrested and losing jobs over selling weed but we can lift a ban for hunting animals? Im not sure what laws are in place or whatever but there's nothing wrong with weed?? NYC did it why not PA? It should've been legalized by now but instead u have to deal with the fake stuff... and then what? BOOM fake stuff also gets raided it's like this state wants to be boring.

Title mostly. I'm looking for anything to do in the area. I've been shut in most of my life and the lack of being social has taken a serious impact on my life. Trying to find stuff to do now, especially at 28, is like pulling teeth. Everything's 3+ hours away and expensive. I keep trying the official avenues, meetup, facebook, etc. and getting no results.

I'm in desperate need of seeing another person in a room (or outside!) and talking to them, preferably around my age. It is getting bleak.

Myself and a couple of friends are hosting a witchy halloween costume party (there will be a small prize!) on the 31st from 8pm-2am if anyone is interested! LGBTQ+ friendly, 21+, smoke friendly, alt lifestyle friendly. If you have nothing else to do, stop by, have a drink, hang out!! 🎃

Comment here or send me a DM for more info! ID required just to make sure you're 21+. Free to get into but bringing something to share is encouraged.

***edit: obviously for safety, I'm vetting everyone one way or another

Does anyone know of any PT nights janitor jobs? Ideal hours would be 4-9 or 5-9. TY.

Any Recommendations can be up to 1 hour from wilkes. Wood for woodworking and cutting boards

Looking for a freelance personal trainer in the Berwick or Wilkes-Barre area for me and my boyfriend. I like my current gym so I’d rather not switch — just need someone who can build us workout and nutrition plans based on the equipment there. Looking for a shredded, roided-out guy who gets results. He can be an asshole as long as he knows what he’s doing. Reasonable rates. Anyone know someone open to new clients?

Just saw a new Garrity commercial using an AI version of Shapiro being a data center apologist. Meanwhile it’s literally on public record her supporting the more data centers in Pa the better, not to mention her despicable simping for “ skill” games….

Switched my electric (PPL) Power supplier on the PUC choice website to Major Energy and I'm getting phone calls asking to verify and enroll yet I enrolled online through them. I have a feeling I got scammed because they called back again after taking half an hour to complete enrollment and talking about some kind of rebate and visa gift cards and all this stuff. I gave them my basic info like address and birthday (ugh!) and PPL account number. They called back yesterday saying there is an error in enrollment. Am I being scammed or are they actually that much of a hassle? I think after this I might skip the marketplace of power suppliers. It doesn't seem to save that much once calculated.

Any general advice on this?

Anyone else knew about this? Went to a town hall meeting recently and in speaking the residents, they had no idea. I was wondering why the town has been falling apart for years and I do not expect the town to do good if well, the mayor is not.

Pennsylvania’s hottest canned cocktail blew up this summer. Then the liquor control board came calling.

Does anyone know if there's a service fee on tickets purchased at Reapers? online, they charge an $8.25 service fee to purchase tickets.. making a general admission ticket on Saturday $77.25!!! Also, does anyone know what time they open to get in line to wait? Thanks!!

Can anyone remind me in what area the movie theater was located at the Wyoming Valley Mall in Wilkes-Barre circa 1991? I remember that it was at the end of a short corridor, not an anchor store spot, and there was an entrance right by the theater.

I’m not sure how or where to connect with skiers and snowboarders looking for long-term ski season rentals. Our home will be available this winter for 30+ day lease(s). I’ve tried Facebook but it’s overwhelmed w STR posts.
Anyway, thanks!

Hi all! I’m currently 22 weeks with my first baby, and found out we will be relocating to NEPA by the end of the year from Pittsburgh.
I’m looking for suggestions from parents who recently (like within the past year) had a child at one of the local hospitals. Where did you deliver, and did you have a good or bad experience?
I’m specifically looking for somewhere that’s open to natural birthing and has things like a birthing pool, access to laughing gas for pain relief, etc. It seems like CMC has this, but I wasn’t able to confirm if GWV had this as well or not? Open to all recommendations though! We’ll be living near Tunkhannock, so sadly anywhere farther like Lehigh Valley is off the table, so I think we’re probably pretty limited with options.
Thanks in advance!!

Edit: also, any doula recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

My parents decided we should do a last minute trip to the Poconos area next Thurs-Sun. I am seeing a ton of rentals on airbnb and such for great prices, but figured I'd check here... is there a specific town or area I should look in? Would love a cabin, cute and middle of the woods. Will be going to Scranton, maybe Jim Thorpe, maybe the Delaware Water Gap, but also want to chill and enjoy the house. Thanks!!!

Evening all!

I’m out of state, and always have a craving for their chili dogs. Is there any canned chili sauce or recipe for the sauce that any of you have tried that’s even remotely close to theirs?

TIA!!
