New Multitool Day! Nextool Flagship F20 size comparison
Pretty chunky! It’s not too noticeable in the pocket though.

I just got it on Saturday. I did use it some and I really like this multi tool. I like the smoothness. The easy access to the tools and I’m especially fond of the 1/4 bit driver. I have big hands and this tool suits me well with easy access to the different features. Definitely interested in other SOG tools in the future.

No submarines, but I took this red-handled Soviet era Stiz Red Army mess kit with me to camp on Catalina Island.

I have a CROM rachet, and while the bits actually fit perfectly through the rachet itself the extender is too shallow fo fit any of them, any ideas of anything compatible with this style?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been looking at a lot of sheaths and pocket clips for gear lately. A lot of them seem to clip awkwardly, bend out of shape, or rattle around when walking.
For those of you who carry a multi-tool or pocket gear daily: what is the single most annoying thing about your current setup, holster, or clip? What feature do you wish existed?

With the arrival of Nextool's F20 and Roxon's Flex Go, the medium-sized plier-based multitool space is finally getting some love... and I went down the damn rabbit hole 🤡
For the larger-than-keychain-but-sub-81mm space I know of Leatherman's T2 and the Dakoyu clones, Roxon's Flex Companion, the Skeletool, Juice, and Squirt if you want something with pliers. I'm not sure if I should count those Chinesium plier-based ones that look like they'll snap if you even press on them.
What other options are there? Are the F20 and Flex Go bordering on sui generis territory with how little love this category of multitool has gotten recently?

So I’ve owned a Leatherman Rev & Gen 2 Leatherman Wave for years. I’m waiting to get my Wave back from warranty. But since I sent it out, In the past month I’ve picked up a Leatherman Wave+ (which I hated & returned), a gen 2 black oxide Leatherman Surge which I’m in love with and will probably never leave my side. But I just ordered an OG Gerber “Mr. pinchy” Needlenose version (old-new) coming in the mail in next 2-3 days, and a basically MINT Leatherman Original Super Tool coming in the mail in the next 3-5 days. But now I’ve got my eyes on the black oxide Super Tool 300. I can’t shut it off! No emergency stop button anywhere! PLEASE SEND HELP!

A variation of my usual kit

The one in the middle is my third EDC item.
I like its mechanical appearance, though I think it would look even cooler if the logo were silver.
It lives up to its name with a skeleton design that lets you see the internals.
It doesn’t have many functions, but it does have a ballpoint pen. Surprisingly, pressing the logo turns on a flashlight!

I bought this new back in the very early 80’s as I recall.
Been through many an adventure.

My whole life I've been an avid Victorinox user and I'm fully satisfied with their products. So satisfied that I started collecting them as you might be able to tell from the picture.
But sometimes I think about taking a look at other brands just to check out how good they are and if their products might be nice additions to my very homogeneous collection.
But I have zero clue which brands are worth it and which tools of those are good choices.
So please recommend your favorite brands and their specific tool(s) that you consider to be a great display of their quality, ingenuity and versatility.
I'm open for all kinds and sizes of tools.
Edit: Bonus points if you can convince me to buy a Leatherman. I have some criticism solely based on pictures that always kept me from ever getting one.
Many of their tools have lots of holes and spots where dirt can enter easily and will be a pain in the ass to clean out I assume.
I don't like having to open the pliers just to get to the other tools which seems to be almost always the case for Leatherman.
Unfortunately they're very expensive at least here in Germany so that raises the level of expectations they need to fulfill even more to justify spending that much money.
