Hey everyone,
I’m currently a 3rd-year medical student doing my clinical rotations. I’m transitioning to using Anki for my clinical modules (sémiologie, patho, pneumo, etc.) and was wondering how other Moroccan med students handle this, since it is a lot of work to create your own cards and i also have a pretty active everyday life i may not be able to find the time to do so ever.
Since a lot of our lectures are very specific to our faculties and CHUs, do you guys build everything from scratch using Image Occlusion, or are there community Google Drives, Discord servers, or shared decks for Moroccan medical students and better if special to a faculty !
Any tips, links, or shared resources would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,
I'm currently facing a bit of a dilemma and would appreciate some outside perspectives.
I'm 26 years old, and my family has been encouraging me to buy a house. We recently found what seems like a decent deal in Rabat. It's an older house that needs renovation, so the plan would be for me to take out a mortgage to purchase it, while my family would help cover the renovation costs.
For context, I've been working in the public sector for a little over two years now, earning around 10,000 MAD per month, plus approximately 12,000 MAD in annual bonuses. I also have around 70,000 MAD in savings.
Here's where I'm hesitant: I'm considering changing jobs within the next three years, possibly even sooner if a good opportunity comes along. I'm worried that taking on a mortgage at this stage of my life would tie me down and limit my ability to pursue opportunities elsewhere, whether in another city or even abroad.
On the other hand, I know that owning a house at my age could be a great long-term investment, especially with my family's willingness to help with the renovations.
I guess my biggest fear is sacrificing my flexibility and financial freedom too early, especially when I'm not entirely sure where my career will take me.
Am I overthinking this, or are my concerns justified? Should I just ntwakal 3la Allah and go for it?
I'd really appreciate hearing from people who've been in a similar situation, especially those who bought property young or had to balance homeownership with career opportunities.
Also, if anyone has advice or experience with government assistance programs for first-time homebuyers in Morocco, particularly for purchasing older properties, I'd love to hear about it. Any tips on financial aid, subsidized loans, or other benefits I might be eligible for would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone!
I'm Lebanese and I'm supposed to travel to Morocco this Sunday, November 1, for an IEEE conference in Marrakech where I'll be presenting my research paper.
I applied for my visa on September 25, so it's been over a month now, and I still haven't heard anything back.
I've called the Moroccan embassy in Lebanon so many times and even went there in person, but they keep telling me the same thing: they sent my application to Morocco and are still waiting for a response. I asked if there's anyone else I could contact or anything I could do to speed things up, but they basically told me there's nothing I can do except wait.
I've also contacted the conference organizers, but they said they can't interfere with visa procedures.
The problem is that my flight is literally this Sunday. I've already paid for my tickets and conference registration, and I really can't afford to lose all that money. I've also spent months working on this research, so missing the conference would honestly be heartbreaking.
I'm just wondering if anyone here has been through something similar or knows someone I could contact in Morocco? Maybe someone at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or whatever department actually handles these visa decisions?
I'm honestly desperate at this point. I don't even know if my visa will come out in time, but I really don't want to give up without trying everything I can.
Any advice would genuinely mean a lot. Thank you!!

wdym 2 months if i have a little over one year at the company (as cadre)!!? i'm not that important!! 2 weeks is more than enough for everyone even for executive level roles. It's seriously time they update the notice periods in the law. i now feel forced to resign before the year is over so that i wouldn't have to stay an extra month.

I’ll be in Morocco from early to mid January and was wondering if there were any funk concerts going on around then? Or how to find/see myself?
Would love any input, thanks!

Mine has to be : "listen to the person that makes you cry, not to the one that makes you laugh."
I don't recall how it is pronounced in darija though

Hey everyone,
I'm Moroccan and currently based in Morocco and looking to start a side hustle. I'm trying to have a 100% remote job or launching my own independent gig. Still figuring that part out.
My main goal is to get paid in hard currency (EUR/USD), but I’m quite confused about how the banking system here handles it. I currently use Banque Populaire (BP).
I have a few specific questions for anyone with experience or knowledge on this:
Legality: Am I legally allowed to receive money from abroad into a Moroccan bank account?
Bank intervention: Will the local bank flag or freeze incoming international transfers?
Large amounts: If I start receiving large payouts, what is the proper procedure or paperwork required by Moroccan banks?
Best practices: Should I use intermediary tools (like Payoneer, Wise, etc.) or stick to direct wire transfers? How do you guys manage taxes and currency conversion without losing too much on fees?
Would love to hear about your experiences, tips, or any advice you have for someone starting out. Thanks a lot!

Darija is the language most of us speak in our daily lives, yet our education system relies heavily on Modern Standard Arabic and French, neither of which is our native language.
Languages evolve, borrow from one another, and develop over time. Maltese, for example, evolved from Arabic varieties and was later influenced by Italian and other languages, eventually becoming an official language with its own standardized writing system.
So why couldn’t Moroccan Darija follow a similar path? We could develop its grammar, establish a standardized writing system, and gradually introduce it into education and official institutions.
I’m curious to hear your opinions. Do you think this is a realistic idea, or would it create more problems than it solves? Why?

Salam alaykum, friends in Morocco! My wife, my sister-in-law, and I are heading to beautiful Morocco!
I am personally very excited to see every corner of the country; we’ve seen that there are many tourist excursions, landmarks, and cities to visit.
Speaking of which, the places I’m most interested in seeing are Rabat, Casablanca, Fez, and Marrakech, as well as the wonderful route leading to the desert camps.
I know there's many touristy areas, which is precisely why I’m interested in visiting the towns along the way—to get a deeper experience of the journey itself. We will only be in the country for 8 days.
We’ve looked into various tours, but they all seem geared toward Europeans—and they’re quite expensive.
Could you help me understand how best to get around the country?
Where can we buy tickets? I’ve heard there are trains, too. (It would be nice to send some websites)
What do you recommend for traveling between Marrakech, Fez, and Casablanca?
Thank you all for the help!
By the way, I’m open to any recommendations for restaurants or dishes! There’s no one better than you all to suggest some great options.
If anyone would like to get in touch via DM, please feel free to send a message!
