Hey guys, so a lot of people are shiiting on me for the mark I got on the test (97), which I understand why, but I thought since a lot of people are asking what I did for test 1, I would come here and explain how I studied for it. So, for reference, I am in the C02 lecture, so not much I can really say about the in-person things Chibba is doing, but anyways, when it came to taking notes, I primarily didn't even take notes on the slides; rather, I would take notes of what Chibba said about the slide - feel free to pm me if you would like to see my notes; I really don't mind sharing, welp other than that I used the slides only when there was an example shown or say if there was a reaction(like the ARIO exception) that would be the only thing I copy of the slides.
When it came to doing practice and such, I first started off with the Term Bank to get a sense of what I needed to work on. Once that was completed, I figured out I needed some practice on Acids and Bases, so I went back and redid the question bank for it. I feel like redoing the question bank does help a lot, as long as you're not cheating it and just chatgpting it when you don't understand a question (sit there and genuinely think - I understand how this may sound so stupid; just trust me, some magical shit happens when you think). Now, based on the lack of concepts I had, I created a "cheat sheet" - PM ME IF YOU ALSO WANNA SEE THIS LOL
Anyways, now that I felt like I had a solid understanding of how to answer questions, I did the practice tests. I first started off with the ones that were posted on Avenue. Once I completed those, I moved onto the ones that were on the HealthSci drive. These were really useful cause they actually taught me a couple of things, there was this really hard test, imo, and that taught me the most i'm prettu sure it was 2020 or 2021 don't remember too much.
After all of the tests were done, there were actually some questions pre-2020 that were really hard, so I did those to kinda solidify any concepts I had my doubts about (acids and bases kms)
ALSO I RECOMMEND HEAVILY DO NOT SKIP OUT ON TEXTBOOK QUESTIONS; THEY ARE USEFUL I PROMISE. Once every module was completed for the week, the first thing i would do is the textbook questions; they help a lot when it comes to just starting off before you go onto the question bank.
If you guys have any specific questions regarding how I approached the questions on the test, please feel free to message I will deadass answer anything I am not the type of person to gatekeep (I hate toxic premeds). I really want everyone to succeed, I swear, and I know everyone on the next test finna pop off, guaranteed.
