Hi everyone!

Which smart TVs are most often recommended by experts? With so many options available, it can be difficult to know which ones are worth considering. That's where expert reviews can help, offering a closer look at how different TVs perform in terms of picture quality, gaming features, and overall value.

TechRadar recently named the LG G6 "Best premium OLED," the LG C6 "Best for most people," and the LG B6 "Best budget OLED" in its latest OLED TV recommendations, based on hands-on testing by its experts.

Check out the full article here

Here are some highlights from TechRadar's recommendations:

1. LG G6 – Best Premium OLED

TechRadar highlighted the G6's improved brightness and color accuracy over the G5, calling it the best OLED TV for watching in bright rooms. Its reflection handling as it preserved rich black levels, and its Alpha 11 AI Gen 3 processor improved picture quality and performance. TechRadar also highlighted its 4K 165Hz gaming features, including FreeSync, G-Sync, HGiG HDR, and Dolby Vision Gaming.

Reasons to buy G6:

  • Outstanding picture quality
  • Effective anti-reflection screen
  • Phenomenal gaming performance and features

2. LG C6 – Best for Most People

TechRadar highlighted the C6's significant brightness boost and better overall picture quality compared to the C5, thanks to its Alpha 11 AI Gen 3 processor. In side-by-side testing, colors appeared more accurate without looking unnatural. The C6 also offers 4K 165Hz, VRR, auto low-latency mode, and Dolby Vision Gaming across all four HDMI 2.1 ports, making it a strong all-rounder for movies, sports, gaming, and everyday viewing.

Reasons to buy C6:

  • Outstanding image quality
  • Best-in-class gaming TV
  • New processor delivers a brightness boost

3. LG B6 – Best Budget OLED

TechRadar highlighted the B6's increased brightness over the B5, which makes bright scenes more impactful and colors more vibrant. Its contrast is also solid, with plenty of detail retained in high-contrast scenes. For gaming, the B6 supports 4K 120Hz, VRR with AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync, HGiG HDR, auto low latency mode, and Dolby Vision Gaming across four HDMI 2.1 ports. TechRadar described it as a fantastic choice that balances performance with value.

Reasons to buy B6:

  • Solid peak brightness and contrast
  • Easy-to-use webOS 26 smart TV platform
  • Full suite of gaming features

With the LG G6 highlighted as a premium OLED option, the LG C6 recommended for most people, and the LG B6 recognized as a budget-friendly choice, which would you pick for your setup? What matters most to you when choosing an OLED TV?

Discussion Sweeney Todd has everything going for it except the movie itself

Post image

Sponsored by LG as part of the LG OLED Movie Club*.*

A murderous barber, cannibalistic meat pies, a corrupt judge, and Stephen Sondheim’s score. How is Sweeney Todd not an automatic home run for horror fans? The whole thing is practically begging for a great screen adaptation - and I'm still waiting for it.

Tim Burton gets the atmosphere right, at least. The sooty, grey, drained-out London landscape feels like a city that has forgotten what sunlight is, but the CGI effects find themselves to be extremely distracting to that dark ambiance. Some of the effects have aged like milk, which is a shame when the production design is doing so much heavy lifting.

As a musical theatre fan, I know the stage show is nearly three hours, so some cuts were inevitable, but losing a full rendition of “The Ballad of Sweeney Todd” and a multitude of other songs hurts me. The film loses a bit of that theatrical, almost mythic quality in the process.

Also, how is this the version where Tobey is one of the better singers? I said what I said; that's an absurdity! I still think the stage version wins, especially with stronger singers than Depp.

Should we attend the tale again? Does anyone else think this story deserves another adaptation, or should Hollywood leave Sweeney alone?

Discussion Suprised by How Good The Hitcher (1986) Looks!

Post image

Sponsored by LG as part of the LG OLED Movie Club. All opinions are my own.

For decades, The Hitcher has been one of those movies that gets lost under a growing watchlist pile. Occasionally it would poke out, and I'd be reminded I need to watch it, but the cycle continued. But on a stormy Sunday evening in October, I finally got to kick myself for not watching The Hitcher sooner.

I love the relentless nightmare logic of it. Rutger Hauer's grimy madman teleporting in and out of C. Thomas Howell's life at will to cause him more and more pain.

But it's how it looks and sounds that really hit me. What a surprisingly beautiful film! Those last few shots should be talked about way more often, especially with the context of what comes beforehand. And that droning, ominous score! Wow, talk about a mood setter.

Maybe the only thing holding it back is how repetitive the story is, but even then, that seems like it's the point. Can't say I had high hopes for the sequel and remake before watching this, but they'd have to be pretty spectacular to come close to matching The Hitcher's energy, menace, and beauty.

[Gallery TV] Product Trial & Promotion LG Gallery+ Review

It's not bad, in my opinion, but could definitely be improves. The setup and number of agreements you have to click through is absurd for a product like this; it's not a mortgage. The lack of ability to preview the art catalog more fully before subscribing is not great because you can't really see how much there is or what the quality is. The actual presentation on the screen is good, it does indeed look like a painting or print on the wall. It would also be good if they told you how much energy it uses based on your TV model - one big hesitation is not knowing if it uses a lot of energy and will drive up electric bills and be environmentally unfriendly. I could Google it but some assurance that it's minimal impact leaving the TV on 24/7 would be nice.

[OLED TV] Review & Setups Tourist Trap rabbit (or hyena?) hole!

Currently rewatching Tourist Trap (1979) – for the first time in a long time. One of the early scares features a cackling mannequins. If you’re a 90s kid like me, you’ll recognise the sound bite as Ripper Roo’s laugh in Crash Bandicoot. But apparently it originated in Lady and the Tramp for a hyena character. #themoreyouknow

Discussion Other Mommy is getting more hate than it deserves

Post image

Sponsored by LG as part of the LG OLED Movie Club*.*

Look, we aren't going to sit here and pretend Other Mommy is secretly some misunderstood horror masterpiece, but I had a better time with it than I initially expected. The jump scares work, and I appreciate its subversion of horror tropes in that the parents accept pretty quickly that their daughter is seeing something real. We skip the obligatory hour of adults gaslighting a child and get straight to the demon making everyone’s life miserable. Efficient and engaging!

Unfortunately, this movie also has a dumb kid calling her father “dad-o” and a finale that (spoiler warning) basically amounts to screaming “OTHER MOMMY NO” at the entity monster mom until it dies. I’m sorry, but that’s giving Cabin in the Woods levels of “we defeated the evil!” (IYKYK)

I do think the movie’s family drama gets lost in all the spectacle, but I’m not sure I needed it to be that deep (if you are looking for that, check the book out). The marketing was doing some HEAVY lifting, especially after that pre-Odyssey trailer started getting attention in theaters. Still, I had fun; it's okay for a horror movie to just be a horror movie, especially in October.

Did anyone else enjoy this more than the reviews would suggest?

The new LG Gallery + is pretty awesome! I’ve been putting together my little music nook and the new Gallery + really ties it together. I mean, I can come here listen to some tunes early in the morning before work and sip my coffee while enjoying some lovely images by Bob Ross. 👀 Who wouldn’t want that!

Right out the gate Gallery + has more offerings than the previous Gallery. Which is still awesome. But it does make me want a new TV in the gaming room. 😁

The generative AI feature is pretty cool! Cant find an image that suites you? Create one 🙌😁

[UltraGear] Product Information What difference can a 1000Hz monitor make in competitive shooters? A 1v1 experiment at 60Hz and 1000Hz

Thumbnail
youtube.com
4 Upvotes

Higher refresh rates can make fast-moving targets easier to follow, and native 1000Hz options like the LG UltraGear 25G590B are made for that kind of play. Here is one creator's experiment comparing different refresh rates.

In this short, kraandop starts by challenging one of the strongest hitscan players around to a 1v1. Keeping up with the opponent's movement proves to be the hard part, and the first round makes it clear there is more practice to do. The video then lines up 240Hz, 480Hz and 1000Hz monitors, and the gap between them turns out to be bigger than expected. The 1000Hz monitor in the test is the LG UltraGear 25G590B, which runs at a native 1000Hz on a 25-inch Full HD IPS panel.**

For the rematch, the opponent plays at 60Hz while kraandop stays on 1000Hz. As explained in the video, a fast shooter fills the screen with moving targets: at a high frame rate they stay sharp enough to aim at precisely, while at a low frame rate they smear into a blur.*

Supported graphics cards and the other requirements for running at 1000Hz are listed on the official product page.

A 60Hz opponent is an extreme setup, but it makes the difference easy to see. We're curious where that line sits for you: at what refresh rate did moving targets start to look clear enough to aim at? (144Hz, 240Hz, 360Hz and up...)

Posted by the LG UltraGear team | Published October 26, 2026

\Actual 1000Hz performance may be affected by various external factors, including PC specifications - CPU, GPU, memory, game-specific frame rate limitations, operating system version, and graphics driver version.)

\*Performance based on internal testing. Maximum refresh rate of up to 1000Hz - 1100Hz O/C requires Windows 11 operating system, NVIDIA RTX 50 series, or AMD Radeon™ RX 9070, 9060 or 7900, series or newer and connection via DisplayPort 2.1.)

[xboom] Review & Setups This Mini Speaker Shouldn’t Sound This Good for the Price — 2 Months of Daily Use

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

Disclaimer: The product was provided free of charge by LG as part of a review

programme, without any form of payment or incentive; this review is based on

my own independent experience after quite heavy usage.

After months of daily use, the thing I keep coming back to is this: given its size

and price, the xboom Mini is actually far too powerful: the treble is crystal-clear

and the bass is deep (relative to its small size, mind you), and the equaliser

allows you to optimise the sound for different music genres or your most

frequent uses (although, with mixed usage, I don’t think I’ve used it very often)

The first thing I’ve noticed over these months of use is that the xboom Mini is

so small (ideally no larger than the palm of an average-sized hand) that it

blends almost completely into its surroundings: this is a significant advantage

because it allows the xboom Mini to be integrated into a wide range of settings

without clashing with the overall aesthetic (although I believe its design is not

only simple and functional but also delightful and ‘neutral’, so as not to look

out of place).

Despite some initial reservations on my part, I must admit that the xboom Mini’s

strap is sturdy and very easy to attach or detach: I believe this is a key feature

not only for indoor use but especially during outdoor excursions, as my fear

that careless movements or accidental knocks might not only damage the

xboom speaker but even cause it to fall was considerable until I realised how

secure the mechanism actually is.

The xboom Mini is IP67-certified, and I must admit that although I didn’t want

to put it through its paces with frequent submersion in water, I wasn’t worried

that sudden splashes (whether from the kitchen, the bathroom or external water

sources) might damage the xboom speaker – which, paradoxically, even

encouraged me to use it in a more reckless and less careful manner than I

would normally have done.

I did, however, notice a downside in the battery life; in my view, it isn’t capable

of providing a full day of semi-continuous use without the fear that it might run

out before the day is over (certainly much riskier when carrying it around than

when using it at home).

Kudos for the speed of connection with the smartphone and the dedicated

control panel, which really allows you to get the most out of the xboom speaker

– far beyond what I would have expected from such an affordable price range,

accessible to all budgets.

2-Month Long-Term Update: LG XBOOM Mini

It’s been a little over two months of using this speaker almost every single day, so I figured I’d drop a quick follow-up on how it holds up after the honeymoon phase.

Build Quality & Wear and Tear

After tossing this thing into my backpack continuously, I'm honestly impressed with how well it's holding up. The matte finish hasn't peeled or scratched, and it still looks pretty much brand new. That twist-off front grill actually turned out to be a lifesaver—I've popped it off a couple of times after outdoor use to clean out dust and dry out trapped moisture, and it snaps back into place solid without feeling loose. The only downside is having to clean out dirt and dust from under the lid.

Battery & Charging Port Concerns

Battery life hasn't degraded at all so far. I still get a few days of listening (2-3 hours daily) on a single charge without constantly worrying about finding an outlet. As for the exposed charging port I was worried about initially: it hasn't given me any trouble. I just make sure it's completely dry before plugging the cable in, and no sand or gunk has ruined it yet.

Sound Performance

The audio quality is still surprisingly solid for something this tiny. 70-80% volume remains the sweet spot for crisp vocals and decent low-end warmth without any harsh distortion. Hanging it by the fabric loop in my room or setting it on a wooden table continues to be the best way to get that bit of extra bass resonance.

Final Verdict

Two months in, it's still my go-to grab-and-go speaker for cooking, relaxing, or watching videos on my phone. It’s rugged, hassle-free, and definitely proved itself as more than just a novelty ultra-portable.

[OLED TV] Product Information Hoping to Help Some LG OLED Buyers — Prices, Panel Issues & a Partner Store Return Tip

Disclaimer- LGOLED just sent me a push notification and said to post it here. I hope it helps, and maybe I can get some opinions as well.

I have been following this subreddit (edit-was posted in LGOLED) for quite a while now. Pretty much everyday because of those push notifications. Through all the posts about people’s setups, pricing, and problems with their TVs, I’ve learned quite a bit from this community. Over the past few days, I’ve spent hours researching LG’s historical pricing, particularly the G5, G6, C5, and C6H, along with some of the panel-uniformity complaints I’ve been seeing. I figured I’d put everything together because I think some of what I’ve found could genuinely help people considering an upgrade, especially with Black Friday coming up. Also, I used ChatGPT with a lot of this, which definitely saved me a ton of time... though between this morning and tonight, it has been too many hours. I really do think this could genuinely be good advice to help some people, and hope I didn’t waste it all this time!!! 😂

(This is all a bit of a dense read, but I think it is worth it, even if just for the to;dr…)

TL;DR: Before buying an LG OLED, look at what these TVs have actually sold for rather than just trusting the advertised sale prices. Some of the historical discounts are pretty substantial, especially through the Partner Store. I’ve also found concerning reports about green tinting and uniformity problems with the 77” C6H and G6, including owners receiving replacements with similar issues. And if you’re buying through the LG Partner Store, skip down to section 4 for something pretty interesting I discovered today about Partner Store and Best Buy exchanges that could save you a lot of trouble.

1. My experience and what got me looking into all this
I currently own a 65” G5 that I purchased relatively early for $1,999 at Best Buy, along with an S95TR soundbar that I got for $749.99 on Amazon. I’d been saving Best Buy gift cards for years, so my actual out-of-pocket cost for the G5 was only around $400. Before that, I had a 65” C2, and I’ve been using 65” TVs for quite a few years now. I’ve been extremely happy with my G5, especially with my PS5 Pro, and I haven’t noticed anything resembling some of the worse panel-uniformity problems I’ve seen posted here. I’ve also been testing P40L0’s LG OLED settings on Patreon for the past couple of months and have found them pretty decent overall.
Lately I’ve been considering moving up to 77”, which got me comparing prices and looking into the newer models. I didn’t even know I had access to the LG Partner Store when I bought my G5, and after seeing what people were paying for the 77” version earlier this year, I started wondering just how good some of these advertised retail deals really are.

2. Historical pricing versus what retailers are charging now
This is probably the biggest thing I wanted to share. Just because Best Buy, Costco, or another retailer advertises a TV for $1,000 off MSRP doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good deal. After looking through historical promotions and what people have been paying, personally I’d rather wait for a better offer than jump on some of the prices I’m seeing now.
Most people here already know how good the Partner Store deals can get, especially with additional coupon codes and promotional bundles. Still, I thought it would be useful to put some of the lower historical prices I’ve found together in one place.
65-inch models:
C5: Approximately $972 in June 2026.
G5: Approximately $1,620 in October 2025.
C6: $1,133.99 in October 2026.
G6: $1,619.99 in October 2026.
77-inch models:
C5: $1,597.59 in February 2026.
G5: $2,069.99 in March 2026.
C6H: $1,619.99 in October 2026.
G6: $2,519.99 in July 2026.
Most of these were Partner Store promotions with additional coupons, and several included soundbars, monitors, or installation. The 77” C5 price came from a BrandsMart/eBay promotion, while the approximately $972 C5 price was buyer-reported. These are some of the better historical offers I could find, rather than necessarily the lowest prices ever.
Now compare those with some of the retail prices around October 24. Costco has advertised the 77” G5 for approximately $2,800, while Best Buy has had the 77” G6 around $3,800. Considering their previous promotional prices of approximately $2,070 and $2,520, I’d personally wait for a better deal.
Something else I found interesting was that the newer 77” C6H is actually cheaper than the older 77” C5 in my Partner Store account right now, and the C6H has additional promotional bundle options. Considering the C6H uses newer tandem OLED technology, I thought that was pretty strange.
I also previously had a 77” G5 saved in my Partner Store cart, and now it’s completely disappeared. Searching for G5 only brings up accessories in my account. I know inventory has been drying up in different areas, so I’m curious whether anyone can still find one.

3. The C6H and G6 panel-uniformity complaints — comparing owner experiences with professional reviews
This part actually started with another member here who recently purchased a 77” C6H. His panel showed some pretty terrible-looking banding and discoloration in the pictures he posted, and he was noticing the problems while playing Cyberpunk 2077 and watching Blade Runner 2049. He mentioned that his camera exaggerated how bad the screen looked, but he could still see the problems during normal use. He’d already put quite a few hours on the TV and tried pixel cleaning without much improvement.
After seeing his pictures, I started looking into other owner reports and noticed some similarities. There are multiple complaints involving the 77” C6H, particularly green or cyan discoloration, uneven colors around the edges, and vertical banding in darker scenes. What concerns me more is that some people have exchanged their televisions multiple times and received replacements with similar issues.
I initially figured the more expensive 77” G6 would probably be a better alternative, but apparently it isn’t quite that simple. I’ve found G6 owners reporting similar problems, including someone who returned a C6H for a G6 and noticed almost identical discoloration in the same area of the screen.
I also looked into the 65” G6 because the member I was talking with was considering returning his 77” C6H and getting the smaller G6 instead. There seem to be fewer prominent complaints about the 65” version, although there are still reports of uniformity problems. Whether that actually makes it a safer choice is another question, especially since we don’t know how many of each size LG has sold.
The professional reviews are interesting here, too. RTINGS tested a 77” C6H and found darker areas along the sides and visible vertical lines in near-black scenes, while AVForums reviewed another 77” C6H with excellent uniformity. Their 65” G6 reviews also differed, with AVForums reporting excellent results during normal viewing while RTINGS found some unusual near-black patterns and defective pixels.
The older G5 and C5 aren’t immune to uniformity problems either. OLED tinting and banding have been around for years, and professional reviews of those models have shown imperfections too. My G5 happens to look excellent to me, but that doesn’t mean every G5 looks the same.
One other thing I learned is that the 65” C6 and 77” C6H don’t use the same panel design. The C6H uses tandem OLED technology similar to the 2025 G5, whereas the G6 uses LG’s newer tandem generation. Also, green tinting that changes with your viewing angle, fixed patches of discoloration, and vertical banding in dark scenes aren’t necessarily caused by the same thing. A difference between the g6 and c6h is in the heat sink technology. The G6 can achieve higher brightness because of this.
After comparing all these experiences, what concerns me most isn’t somebody finding a little banding on a test pattern. It’s people noticing problems during actual movies and games, going through the trouble of exchanging their televisions, and sometimes receiving replacements with similar problems. I don’t think we have enough information to say the entire 2026 lineup has a widespread manufacturing defect, but I certainly think these reports are worth paying attention to before spending thousands of dollars.

4. Something interesting I discovered today about LG Partner Store purchases and Best Buy exchanges
This might actually save somebody quite a bit of trouble. I found another discussion here where someone purchased a C6H through the LG Partner Store with Best Buy pickup and ended up returning it because of panel-uniformity problems.
According to his comments, Best Buy allowed him to exchange the television for another C6H, but here’s the part that surprised me. The employees actually brought out the replacement, opened it at customer service, plugged it in, and let him inspect the panel before taking it home. Unfortunately, that replacement had the same problem, so he declined it and requested a refund.
I had no idea you could potentially arrange something like that, especially when the original purchase was through the LG Partner Store. He also reported receiving his refund the following day.
Now, this was one person’s experience at one Best Buy, so I wouldn’t assume every location would do the same thing. But if you’re picking up a Partner Store purchase at Best Buy, it might be worth asking whether they’d allow you to inspect a replacement before taking it home.
Considering what a nightmare transporting a 77” OLED back and forth must be, I thought this was worth sharing.

5. Where I stand after looking into all this
I’m still extremely happy with my G5, but I’d definitely like to move up to 77” eventually. That’s roughly 40% more screen area, which is pretty significant. I told the member with the defective C6H that I’d personally try exchanging it once before giving up on the larger size. Why not? He might get a much better panel, but if the replacement had the same problems, idk if I’d want to keep playing the panel lottery that the c6/g6 seem to have.
Anyway, hopefully some of this saves somebody a little time or money. I’m curious what other C6H and G6 owners have experienced, especially those who have exchanged their TVs. Did you actually get a better panel the second time around? And does anyone still see the 77” G5 available in the Partner Store?

Sincerely,

Whomper

Support Is this screen burn-in? It's only been used for less than 100 hours.

Specifically, I had previously played the same game for about several tens of hours (about a week, roughly 4-8 hours per day), and this is the screen I achieved in about 100 hours.

[OLED TV] Review & Setups Revisiting "Sinners" on 4K Blu-Ray

I finally got around to watching Sinners on 4K Blu-Ray, and it's just as astounding as when I saw it in theaters. I absolutely love the way this film was shot, and director of photography, Autumn Durald Arkapaw, most definitely deserved her Oscar for this movie.

Every shot could be a painting all on its own, but when those IMAX scenes kick in, it is really a sight to behold. I love the rush I get from seeing the aspect ratio expand into the full 16x9. Obviously, this is formatted for home viewing but it looks gorgeous, nonetheless. That key scene, you know which one, will always be iconic scene and needs to be studied in film school.

Viewing the film on my 65" LG OLED G6 with Hyper Radiant Color Tech makes sure all those beautiful shots of the sky always look mesmerizing, the lighting inside in the juke joint is as vibrant as ever. If you didn't know, Sinners now holds the record for Oscar nominations in history. All are well deserved and you can see all the craftsmanship come to life.

[OLED TV] Review & Setups Will the LG AN-GXDV65 stand fit a 55-inch LG G1 OLED (OLED55G1)?

Hey everyone,

I have a 55-inch LG G1 OLED (OLED55G1) and I’m having trouble finding the original AN-GXDV55 stand.

I found an AN-GXDV65 stand designed for the 65-inch LG GX, and I’m wondering whether anyone has actually tried using it on the 55-inch G1.

I know the G1 and GX use a similar stand-mounting system, but I’m specifically trying to confirm whether the 65-inch stand’s mounting points and hardware fit the 55-inch G1.

Has anyone personally tried this combination? Did it fit securely, or are the mounting points or dimensions different?

I’d really appreciate confirmation from someone who has tested it rather than just a guess. Thanks!

[OLED TV] Review & Setups Daytime Viewing: Revisiting ‘Downrange’ (2017) with my LG G6 65”

Sponsored by LG as part of the LG OLED Movie Club. LG provided me with this OLED TV free of charge for this review. All opinions are on my own.

My LG OLED G6 65” has been making the rounds in my home. For the past month, I’ve tried different rooms, each one with different lighting (natural and electric) and setups (layouts), to see which provides the best experience, especially since I watch a lot of television (a mix of films and TV shows) during the day while working. Finally, as of this posting, it has been stationed in the “fun room” (also known as the den or my office), where it’s here to stay and there’s an ample amount of sunlight throughout the day, as well as high beam lights on the ceiling. Now that I’m watching (mostly horror) films during the daytime, I’ve watched a few that really stood out as a daytime watch, including Downrange (2017), a Shudder Exclusive film that features a group of friends on a road trip who are targeted by a sniper hidden in the trees.

Before diving in, Downrange mostly takes place mostly during the daytime, so I was able to experience the brightness of the film in a well-lit setting. Want to hear how my G6 performed? Here are three scenes from Downrange that stood out:

First, the film starts off with a group of friends, some old and new, traveling together in the middle of nowhere, surrounded mostly by trees for miles and miles. Within the first few minutes, the happiness and laughter come to an end after one of the tires blows, and they are forced to pull over. With no cell service, they gather outside of the car, standing in the hot sun, with clear blue skies above and endless grass and trees surrounding them. It’s here where we’re introduced to this open, colorful setting, where the rest of the events will eventually unfold.

Next, in this sun-drenched setting, with limited resources available (food, water), the current surviving group hides behind their car while the sniper continues to shoot at them. Through aerial shots and landscape views, we’re given a bigger picture as to how very little space they have to work with in order to survive, as well as a realization as to how much they’re in the middle of nowhere.

Finally, and not to fast-forward and ruin the ending (just watch this film!), the last scene during the daytime period, it’s a bloodbath! An approaching car, a couple with their daughter, become the next victims to the sniper, who eventually blows up their car. The fire from the explosion lights up the screen, with orange and red everywhere, the brightness adding additional light to my office.

Overall, when watching films in a bright or well-lit environment, it’s important that your watching experience is unaffected, so, if you’re looking for a TV that offers the brightest screens for daytime viewing, the LG OLED G6 65" offers this and a whole lot more!

[xboom] Product Trial & Promotion Which 2026 Party Speakers Offer Powerful Bass You Can Actually Carry? Test the 220W xboom Blast and Keep It!

Hi r/LG_UserHub community,

A few party speakers were released this year, raising a simple question: which ones offer powerful bass in a portable design? It’s a fair place to start, but a good portable party speaker needs to do more than simply play music loudly.

It should make bass-heavy tracks feel energetic, keep the music going from afternoon into late night without hunting for an outlet, and pair with a second speaker when one isn’t enough. It should also be easy to carry and durable enough for real-world adventures.

Who says portable can’t be powerful? That’s what we’d like to explore with the LG xboom Blast, released this year as xboom’s longest-lasting portable speaker, built to go all in on sound, battery, and toughness. It packs up to 220W of output through dual 5.25-inch woofers and three passive radiators, up to 36 hours of playtime, and IP68 dust and water resistance with MIL-STD-810H testing, all in one speaker you can carry.

We’re inviting 6 community members to spend time with the xboom Blast, use it with their own music and activities, share an honest review with the community, and keep the speaker afterward.

Which Large Portable Speakers Offer Powerful Sound and Long Playtime?

The LG xboom Blast is one of the portable party speakers built for powerful, high-output sound and long playtime.

  • Does it sound big enough to carry a party?
    • Up to 220W of powerful sound delivers deep bass, high-pressure output, and immersive sound that fills outdoor spaces with powerful energy.
  • How long can it keep the party going?
    • With up to 36 hours of playtime, the xboom Blast is xboom’s longest-lasting portable speaker, keeping the music going day and night.
  • Can it adapt to indoor and outdoor spaces?
    • Space Calibration Pro automatically adapts sound output based on the surrounding environment, whether indoors or outdoors.

Which Portable Party Speakers Offer Clear Outdoor Sound and Flexible Connectivity?

The xboom Blast is also built for outdoor use and for connecting to other devices.

  • Can it fill a wide outdoor space with clear sound for large gatherings?
    • Sound Field Enhance expands the perceived soundstage for more immersive listening.
  • How easy is it to connect to other devices?
    • Auracast™ lets you connect multiple compatible speakers easily for a more flexible listening setup.
  • Can it keep up with outdoor adventures?
    • IP68 dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810H durability testing, and built-in handles make it ready for extended outdoor use.

We’re especially interested in your thoughts on bass depth, sound coverage, maximum volume, Auracast connectivity, battery life, portability, and outdoor durability.

Would the xboom Blast deliver the powerful, full-bodied sound you want from a portable party speaker? We’re looking forward to finding out through your real-world experience!

Discussion Is reflection free actually a must have?

I'm moving soon and upgrading my 10-year-old Samsung TV. I'm not super picky about specs, but I want something reliable that will last me another decade.

My main concern is that I constantly see my own reflection on the screen during dark scenes, which is super annoying.

That's why I started looking into reflection free displays.

I'm currently debating between LG's oleds and TCL's mini leds(which fight glare with sheer brightness at a lower price).

  1. Does a reflection free display stop you from seeing yourself in dark scenes?

  2. Is LG worth the premium over TCL for long term reliability?
