Just got this 2011 for about 3800 (made a trade and then another trade and got this so rough estimate including fuel food cost of travel etc) She’s a beaut, but the clutch sounds like there’s a few marbles in there lol, still works fine, just curious if that’s normal or if I need to tear down and inspect, and if so what to look for? I haven’t dealt much with these KTM clutches and don’t know what to expect

I am now at 17hrs of trail riding on my 300sx, manual calls for 15hr plug and connector interval. What do you guys do

2023 ktm 890 adventure(not the R) with 11k miles and regular maintenance. Just so happened to notice this bolt when I was cleaning my chain and seems like it doesn't need to be that far out. Tried tightening but it seems to only spin. I also do alot of sidestand spins when commuting so I'm not sure if that has damaged the bolt or threads.

What’s the consensus here for rocker arm replacement? 12,800kms on them there is no scoring that can be felt with nail or anything. Is the primary concern bearing failure or scoring?

In compenso ne avrei trovato uno della 890 adventure 2021, qualcuno ha la certezza che possa mettere quello della 2021 sulla 2024? Qualcuno ci ha provato?

Hey guys, need some help with my 45 day old KTM Adventure 390.
Initially, the headlight was super bright and the visibility was excellent. Recently, I tried adjusting the headlight height to lower the beam, but since then, the visibility has become really poor. I’ve tried multiple settings, but the headlight throw is still very low, and riding at night has become difficult.
Has anyone faced a similar issue? Is it just an adjustment problem, or could something else be wrong?
Any suggestions or solutions would be really appreciated, guys. Thanks in advance!

I recently took my KTM 390 ADV in for its 1st service. During the break-in period, my quickshifter was buttery smooth, but ever since I got the bike back from the service center, the shifts feel noticeably rougher and a bit clunky.

My first thought was that the chain tension was off, so I took it to a trusted local shop I’ve used before to get the chain perfectly adjusted. The chain is dialed in now, but the quickshifter still isn't back to that super smooth feeling it had before.

I have a couple of questions for other 390 ADV owners:

1. ECU Updates: Do service centers usually update the ECU maps during the first service? Could a software update have changed the quickshifter calibration/behavior?
2. Any fixes? Is there a specific trick, sensor adjustment, or recalibration process I can do to get it back to being buttery smooth?

Any advice or similar experiences would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

I’ve been looking for stunt build / crash protection parts for the Duke 390 Gen 3 (2024+), but so far I’ve only found the parts mentioned in this post.

Does anyone know of any other options? I’m not necessarily looking for a full crash cage, just enough protection to keep all the fairings and body panels safe in case of a drop.

Any suggestions?

Sidenote; any tips for riding in mud are well appreciated. I'm coming from an RC-390 and track riding compared to offroading is worlds apart.

Hey everyone, I hold an A2 motorcycle license and I’m looking to buy a KTM 890 Duke, as the price is quite similar to the 790 Duke. However, since I’m in Europe, I need to have it "restricted" (derated). I know it’s possible to restrict bikes with over 95 hp—I’m aware of a GSX-R 1000 that’s been restricted to 35 kW—but my question is: what does the whole process involve? Guys I need help finding a bar pad with ktm logo facing to the front of the bike and "ready to race" facing the rider. I have a 2012 sx250 and I want a newer style bar pad with ktm and ready to race logos. I'm looking at 2022 model and it seems correct but after looking at pictures on google I'm not sure. Can someone who owns a sx or sxf with that type of bar pad please confirm. Bar pad in question:

Before I spend a bunch of money on aftermarket parts to turn my 690 smcr into a long range adv bike. Is it even worth it. Or should I just sell it and get a t7 world raid. The bike is fine for 2-3 hour rides but I would prefer to be able to do much more than that in one day

I built this for my own rides and group rides.

I started with trying to get reliable navigation data to the TFT that isn't taking me through backstreets like the official KTM app. Since google supports 2wheeler profile I used google navigation and that is the data being sent to the dash. Over time with requests from friends it grew more and it now does a lot more, but it started with KTM so KTM has extra features, including garage where you track everything about your bike and navigation data sent to the dash, even when riding with a group, plus fuel range and service reminders.

What it does:

- Records each ride with GPS: route, distance, time, elevation and stops, with a replay on the map

- Ride history with monthly stats and a heatmap of every road you've ridden

- Group rides: one rider starts a group, shares the code, everyone shows up on one live map

- Share card at the end of a ride (speed can be switched off before sharing)

- GPX export, and a web dashboard with the same account

- No account needed to record. GPS is off when you're not recording or navigating.
