The weather advisory warned of zero visibility, but it wasn't just moisture keeping the sunlight out. If you look closely past the fourteenth floor, you can see it shifting its weight against the upper atmosphere, filtering the air through wet, soundless gasps. With the “Fracture” Inktober prompt, I imagined everyone was going to draw broken bones. Instead, I took the idea in a different direction and explored a fractured mind. With Halloween right around the corner, who better represents a fractured mind than Dr. Jekyll? To suggest a fractured mind, I designed a broken glass or mirror, with each shard showing the process of Dr. Jekyll’s brilliant mind becoming the deranged Mr. Hyde.
