Discussion Cast of The Gilded Age Talk Season 4 on GMA
r/HBOMAX • u/anonRedd • Jan 19 '23
We’ve received a lot of feedback that technical support posts overwhelm this sub and drown out discussions about shows, movies, and other aspects of HBO Max.
So we’re making a change. Going forward, all individual technical support posts will be removed and directed towards our Technical Support Megathread.
This will group all technical issue posts in one place where people can ask questions, answer questions, and hopefully find solutions. We also hope this fosters more discussions about shows and movies and keeps them on the main pages for longer.

In addition to asking here, you can also check out the Official Support Website or connect with u/HBOMaxhelp

I did not see this coming!! But when the camera framed them both in the end, I thought, ‘There maybe something’. It’s still a speculation, but I wanna know for those who have watched it, what are your thoughts?

A few years back (many, many months ago wtfever), I followed all of the rules to join Disney and Hulu together as part of the bundle deal - which, in and off itself, was a nightmare, but I digress; when I attempted to do the same for HBO, I tried everything to no avail, so I just let it be and forgot about it. However, after approaching the topic this afternoon, I am determined to finish this without being billed twice. I'm extremely frustrated, and I really don't think it should be this hard. Is there anyway, to join HBO to the other two easily? Do I have to completely cancel my HBO subscription, then wait until the payment for the services lapses? Does anyone have any hacks to expedite or even allow the process to happen? I've seen other forums online that have said they've even received a credit for additionally paid months, so I presume there are a multitude of ways to go about this - none being easy - but any help would be appreciated.

The email said in part:
"This is a reminder that your monthly subscription to the HBO Max Basic With Ads plan will automatically renew on November 24, 2026 at $2.99/month, plus applicable tax, unless you cancel before your next billing date."
This feels like a mistake, since I was expecting that it would go up from the $2.99 rate after the year is up. However, this is actually saying it will keep going at the $2.99 price. Did anyone else get this email? I'm sort of expecting a correction to come out at some point, but at $2.99 I'll keep it going indefinitely. :-)

Halloween is next week and I'm putting together a list. So far I have The Shining, Coraline and Corpse Bride.
What else should I add? Movies or shows, scary or just spooky-fun.

Hello everyone!
I love cartoons but I also love learning German.
I have a Hungarian account, however only the Hungarian and English audio is available.
I also tried VPN's connecting to Germany, but they didn't solve the issue.
I'd really like to know:
-Can anyone in Germany confirm that the original 1998 series is available on HBO Max with German audio?
-Is the German audio available for the entire series, or only certain episodes or seasons?
-Has anyone in another European country found German audio for this series on their local HBO Max catalogue?
-Does anyone know whether the German audio is restricted to the German catalogue, or whether there's another way to access it with an existing Hungarian subscription?
Thank you very much for any help!

Has anyone else noticed the bizarre “speaking global language” captions in High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam?
I’m watching this show (for some fucking reason) on HBO Max, and whenever Iraqi characters are speaking Arabic, the English closed captions say [speaking global language] instead of [speaking Arabic]
Is [global language] some sort of generic placeholder used in captioning software? And nobody picked up on the error because it only happens like 700 times in the first episode so far? In context of this particular show it is extremely fucking cringe
Arabic is one of the most widely spoken languages on Earth. It feels reductive and weird
Am I missing some technical reason captions would be delivered this way?
To be fair if this bothers me maybe I should lay off the hoo ah bullshit streaming shows, but for some reason I’ve decided to watch all of them. I like mainlining propaganda fuckin sue me

Getting this message and it mentions its not available in my region. I'm in US, billing is active, suddenly happening today. Why?

When I tried to watch in the app, it says it’s not available until October 23. Pretty disappointing. How did they screw this up.

According to my Internet research, both of these films are advertised as available to stream on HBO Max, including the UK. For some bizarre reason I can only play the trailers. “Backrooms” is labeled as “coming soon” (despite of what Google says) which at least would make sense, but Weapons has been marked as out for almost a year now.
Anyone experiencing these issues? Do those films appear as available to you?

Does anyone recognised Game of Thrones is not longer available in UHD Dolby Vision? Am I the only one?
